## What is Clashfinder Pal?

Your pocket festival companion, and unofficial client for clashfinder.com, the “free, printable timetable for an event”. 
• Downloads one of over 10,000 online event schedules and displays it as classic, itinerary or now/next schedule.
• Stores this on your phone so it’s always available, no matter how poor your signal in the field!
• Allows you to select your highlights, customise their labels and colours, and share these with friends.
• Lets you scroll across the stages/venues and through each day’s timeline, zooming in to suit…
• …or see the whole itinerary, searchable and filtered to you and/or your friends’ highlights.
• Notifies you before your desired acts start, with a notice period you choose, and lets you snooze alerts.
• Lets you zoom in to what’s on now or coming up soon.
• Shows details for acts, where available, including genre, location and description for music.
• Once the performance is over, rate it with a score and/or comment for future reference.
• Also add ratings ad hoc, then view, search, compare and edit all your historical ratings.
• Allows hiding of stages/venues that aren't of interest.
• Allows hiding of entire days that you aren't attending.
• Fully supports light/dark display modes and portrait/landscape, including automatic switching.
• Localised dates (language and USA format) and selectable 12/24-hour time.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-26

• You can now search from the timeline view.
• Highlights customisation is improved:
  • A new setting makes your favourite labels and colours automatically load when you choose a new event. (NB if you've customised them on clashfinder.com for that event, this will override favourites in the app);
  • The 'defaults' button rotates through Clashfinder default labels (1,2,3,4) and a suggested set.
• The bottom navigation bar highlights today's date if it's within the schedule.
• As with highlights, the app can be shared via messaging apps as well as QR code.
• The event picker now makes itself look more obviously scrollable.
• There's an improved About dialog.
• And a sprinkling of minor fixes and UI improvements.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-11

• Completely revamped highlights sharing:
  - share directly via QR code when your friend is nearby;
  - share using messaging apps (email, WhatsApp, SMS, iMessage*) when they're not.
• Friendlier onboarding, especially if you don't have a Clashfinder account
• Faster scrolling and zooming in timeline view
• Acts now indicate when you've rated them
• Improvements to 'only now or soon' view

*receiving highlights in iMessage may require iOS 27

• Direct sharing of your highlights with friends (beta).
• New landscape itinerary view (larger screens only): rotate your device to see details alongside the listings.
• Long-press on the alert icon to choose a bespoke notice period for that act/performance.
• When choosing an event in Settings, long-press on any entry in the list to show the event’s details (helps when there are multiple Clashfinders for an event).
• Alerts now include start time of the act/performance.
• Better searching where acts include non-English characters and punctuation.
• Highlights refresh buttons now on the relevant rows in Settings.
• Links to App/Play Stores, and QR code to share the app with friends.
• Ability to clear specific previously viewed events (beta in v1.2.1).
