### 3/5 — Pretty good…..but

*2026-06-12, version 3.1.5*

I don’t understand why my partner gets “in” and doesn’t play their best? It’s like playing by myself! My partner has ACES that are never played! Why? Something is wrong with the logic

### 4/5 — Fun!

*2026-03-08, version 3.0.7*

I’ve tried a few other bid whist apps and this is by far the best. The only gripe I have is that bid whist is a partner game and there are times that the partner takes you out. For instance, I played the little joker and my partner took me out with the big joker. At first I thought that was the only trump card they had left, but after they took me out with the big joker, they played another trump card. I’m like, WTF!!! Also, when you run out of trump, the typical rule is to signal to your partner where you might have a winning card, so for instance, if spades is trump and you play all of your spades, you might throw out a diamond, to signal to your partner that you likely have a winning card in diamonds; however, this game can’t/doesn’t pick up on those clues. All in all it’s a fun game to play, but sometimes, you have to keep the cards out of your partners hands and stop them from taking the lead because they’ll do dumb stuff, like cut over you, that will make you absolutely furious that will cost you the game. However, it’s a game and it’s a great free way to entertain yourself!

### 4/5 — Novice

*2026-02-06, version 3.0.7*

My partner cuts me out all the time please change that algorithm

### 3/5 — Needs an update

*2025-11-29*

First off the AI needs to be smarter. In real life your team mate would not play their big joker to take out your little joker unless that’s the only trump card they had. Secondly there needs to be an option to play against real players the competition is to easy even on hard mode.

### 3/5 — NYC

*2025-10-04, version 2.6.13*

Need to have options to play real players and not AI

### 5/5 — Bid Whist

*2025-06-16, version 2.6.13*

I really enjoy playing the game. The developers real got it right. Especially the feature of sporting the kitty.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2025-05-28, version 2.6.13*

Great app/game that really plays true to actual live game.

### 5/5 — Bid hand not right

*2025-04-26, version 2.6.13*

Spades trump and led but a heart takes the hand

### 4/5 — Great for what it is

*2025-04-15*

Fast, stable, some custom settings, and great for practice. For a nominal amount you can get rid of all ads! However I wish one could play with a real partner! The only programs where you can are horrible, money grubbing. This is heaven in comparison.

### 5/5 — Less pop ups

*2025-02-26, version 2.5.3*

To many pop ups

### 5/5 — Bid Game

*2024-12-19, version 2.5.3*

An AWESOME GAME!!!

### 4/5 — Beautiful but missing some rules

*2024-10-10*

Paid 3 bucks to remove ads and support the dev since it’s a great app.

Bid whist has been a tradition in my family for generations so it is awesome to play this for practice.

Fantastic visuals and sound effects. Reminds me of KOTOR!

I was pleased to see these rules that we play with:
- No jokers
- Sporting the kitty

However, some other rules that we play with are missing:
- forced four: someone must bid at least 4, which may be forced to the last bidder
- point only bids: uptown/downtown/no trump is not part of the bid
- dealer steals kitty: the dealer may take the kitty at the highest bid
- follow the leader: kitty recipient chooses uptown/downtown/no trump after the discard and plays the first card
- setting team scores: if the setting team sets, they score the bid plus 1 point for every 2 extra books won
- win target: 21
- negative scoring: off

It would be awesome if these could be implemented!

### 5/5 — Great at teaching

*2024-09-12*

I downloaded the game to understand it better so I can play with my elders and I didn’t expect it to be as entertaining and enjoyable as it is now and I can’t stop playing it although I wish it would let you play solo instead of on teams all the time

### 5/5 — Sporting the Kitty

*2024-07-27*

I have never seen an online Bid Whist game where you show what is in the kitty like many people do in real games. This is the best one so far however I am not sure why it doesn’t start pulling trump first. It is hard to win when your partner gets cut with a trump card they didn’t pull.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Creator doesn’t understand the game

*2025-12-03*

This game will infuriate you if you’re a true vid whist player. The computer partner is programmed to play against you opposed to in unison. It always cuts you unnecessarily which often times cost your team the game and destroys your average. I’ve deleted this game once before for that same reason. I’m going to delete it again until that issue is resolved.

### 1/5 — No partner

*2025-04-19, version 2.6.13*

Your partner/app does not play as a cohesive team!!!!

### 1/5 — CHEATING GAME APP

*2024-05-13, version 2.0.9*

This game allows your computerized opponents to play out of suit although it’s supposed to be set where no one can play out of suit. I’ve experienced it numerous times and it’s infuriating. I deleted the app…. What’s the point?

### 1/5 — Bb

*2023-08-05*

It's like you are playing against 3 people. You partner leads with suits you are cutting while holding an Ace or another winning card in hand. Very very frustrating

### 1/5 — Great… But

*2023-06-24, version 1.11.1*

I hadn’t played in years since my Dad passed away. I started playing again with my Fraternity and this program has help sharpen my skills. It taught me how to keep score. My only issue is the sound keeps going in and out.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother!

*2022-01-29, version 1.4.9*

Either the developer never knew how to play bid whist or they programmed your A.I. partner to screw you up!

### 2/5 — NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

*2025-09-19*

This is a fun game however, it becomes very frustrating when AI can’t bid. It would be better if AI learns your patterns and helps you along the way. AI bidding and can’t make the plays becomes very frustrating and I stop playing for days or weeks at a time because it happens very often! This should not be happening on any level. It’s not even a competition! I will need an update before I continue to play. The game definitely have potential, it’s just a few AI perks that needs to be worked on!

### 2/5 — Leading the little joker

*2025-04-17, version 2.6.11*

Why if I lead the little joker, and my AI partner has the big. Why is it programmed to beat my little joker if he has other trump to play. Make it make sense

### 2/5 — Fun game but..

*2023-06-03*

Fun game to play but AI partner doesn’t know how to play. Hard level doesn’t help. AI partner bids are way off and makes the game less fun. Initial bids, 3u/d or 3n tip your partner if they have a joker or an ace or a good hand. AI doesn’t understand this. Then during game play if AI wins bid.. they play non trump cards every play and get trumped by opponents every time. It’s just hard to play against a team when you have a AI partner who doesn’t know how to play.

### 2/5 — MrsH

*2021-11-17*

I enjoy playing the game. However I feel like my partner is playing with the opponents. At every opportunity my partner plays whatever I am cutting, even when I’ve played another suit. That is what opponents do, make sure you’re using up your trump. Then I see later the partner is not playing aces when they have the chance. If those issues are corrected, the game would be much better.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fun game

*2026-04-22*

This is one of the better computerized versions of Bid Whist that I have played. The AI partners aren’t great but I enjoy the challenge of overcoming their lack of skill. Overall, an enjoyable experience!

### 5/5 — Game is nice!

*2026-03-31, version 3.0.7*

Enjoy game. Lots of ads

### 5/5 — Try it you will like it!

*2026-03-18, version 3.0.7*

Yes it looks plain but really it plays great! The ads aren’t horribly annoying.

### 5/5 — EXCELLENT

*2026-03-11, version 3.0.7*

Great way to sharpen your Bid Whist Skills#

### 5/5 — Bid Whist, Lover

*2026-02-09*

I Love Playing This Game! I would Love to Be able to, Pick My Partner and My Opponents. I would like to be able to Play Against, My Family Members. We have been Playing Bid Whist, With Bicycle, Playing Cards, around Our Table for Over, 50 Years

### 5/5 — Love this game

*2026-02-07, version 3.0.7*

I love this game and I play it daily

### 5/5 — Basic but fun Bid Whist game

*2025-09-30*

This game is very enjoyable for me. I’m not a big fan of the computer teammate because it does not learn your play style at all and it can even make some bad bids that end in you losing the hand.

However, the reason for the 5 stars is because if you were playing with other people you might not always have a good teammate. It makes you have to work on trying to learn how to handle each hand and game differently. So, that is a nice aspect of that.

### 5/5 — Tournament Readiness

*2025-09-28, version 2.6.13*

As I prepare for a local BW Tourney, this app, played hard, is a great readiness tool. I love it!!

### 5/5 — This Bid!!!

*2025-07-16, version 2.6.13*

Glad I found this!!! Old School Bid!!!

### 5/5 — Great game for one player

*2025-07-06*

Absolutely love playing this game. I grew up playing bid whist, and have been disappointed for many many years because there’s no one down here that can play this game. I found it and I love it.
