## What is Classic Canfield Solitaire?

Canfield Solitaire is a popular solitaire game.

The goal in this game is to get all 52 cards into the foundations.
You must put the cards onto the foundation in order according to suit and rank,
starting from the leading rank dealt at the beginning of the game, wrapping from King to Ace if neccessary.

You can move either the top card or every card from one Tableau onto another Tableau pile,
if the latter pile's top card is either one higher than the moved card,
or the moved card is a King being played on an Ace; and in a different color.

If both the Reserve pile and a Tableau pile are empty you can place any card you can normally move to the empty pile.

Click the stock pile at the top left corner to deal new cards.

## Key features

- Arrange 52 cards into foundations
- Move cards between tableau piles
- Deal new cards from stock
- Follow suit and rank order
- Strategic card placement

### 2/5 — Cards randomly disappear

*2026-03-17*

Cards randomly disappear when bringing to a spot. Have to end the game. A back button or a restart button would be nice

### 4/5 — Mostly great

My wife and I both love this game. Most of the time it runs perfectly. But in about one in 10 games, you get to the end and the last card is missing. The cards run out before the last play. We both encounter this minor glitch from time to time. Hope it can be fixed someday.

### 2/5 — I can’t read the cards. No undo. Wrong rules.

*2024-11-29*

I can’t read the cards on my phone. No undo feature. No auto-complete. No portrait mode. No left/right-hand option, so your right hand obscures the tableau when turning over cards in the deck. The pile is automatically used to fill an empty column, which is not a rule of Canfield, and contrary to the common strategy of leaving an empty column empty until you have the correct top card for it. Tapping a card sometimes moves it and sometimes doesn’t. Doesn’t remember Advanced setting. Occasional misdeals. Allows you to put a card onto the pile, which is not legal.

### 5/5 — Exactly how the game is

*2023-08-18*

So I finally beat the game demon or Canfield in real life and it felt surreal so I decided to try and beat it on my phone and sure enough I was able to. The ads weren’t really a problem unless you lose a lot but that’s just the person either getting frustrated or making mistakes. The developer did real good with the mechanics especially the advance option. Cause unlike the game, in real life if you mess up you restart the game. Respect to the guy that created the game

### 3/5 — Love/Hate

*2023-06-08*

This is a great app in many ways. It would sure be great to go backwards when my trigger finger is too jumpy! I do like having the ability to use two locations for spares when the pile is depleted. However, 30-second ads are 25 seconds too long, and please get rid of the far-right ads. Anti-woke, anti-abortion, etc., are a real turn-off.

### 2/5 — Cards disappear.

*2023-04-04*

Frustrating to play when a stack of cards evaporates. Card can even end up out of order. Still fun to play, but fix is required.

### 2/5 — Buggy and bad ads

*2020-07-15*

I’ve been playing this app for a while, and I deleted it due to toxic ads; the one that put me over the edge was a “do you support Trump” ad...which didn’t bother me personally, but it was designed to trigger a yes of you close the ad. That’s just heinous.

Some tips on the gameplay:
Canfield is one of the hardest ways to play solitaire, but you made it too hard. Not having a way to go back to the pile if you miss a card, or moving partial stacks was unnecessary imo.

I’d gladly pay for an ad free version with some qol upgrades.

### 3/5 — Playable.

*2020-04-12*

This game plays OK, seemingly even offline. Played online, there are ads between games. Otherwise, gameplay is pleasant, and the rules are slightly forgiving. Beginner mode is one-card draw. Advanced mode is three-card draw.

The cards are blurry to my aging eyes, so I won’t use this app for too much longer. Someone with sharper eyesight or a bigger screen might give this app a try.

The App Support link should go somewhere that looks like a legitimate support page.
