This app lets you generate and store a collection of Classic Traveller characters. Characters are generated using the rules in Book 1: Characters and Combat and Supplement 4: Citizens of the Imperium. The app walks through the steps, generating random die rolls and offering options when available. After character generation, you may modify a stored character’s characteristics, skills and possessions during play. Alternatively, you may manually enter the data for an existing character generated outside of this app, including those created using the advanced character generation systems in Books 4-7. These characters may also be modified during play. The app includes databases of skills and equipment from a variety of Classic Traveller sources. You may create custom skills and equipment as desired. This app is a modern replacement for my first iOS app, TAS Form 2, which was a character record sheet app without the character generation features. I’ve spent a few hours now doing some character generation. I am so thankful this exists! Is there a way to do the Highguard/Mercenary/Merchant Prince character generation? Bugs: • Fix for weird edge case that "might" cause a crash in rare circumstances when starting character generation. • Fix for +1 optional DM on mustering out cash table. Now requires Gambling skill. • Enabled completed character duplication. • Voluntary reenlistment after 7 terms no longer possible. • Completing character generation for eligible careers now awards an annual pension. • When adding a skill to a completed character, if the skill already exists the level is increased by one instead of adding another skill of an existing type. • On the character generation end of term screen, one can now press on the reenlist and leave images instead of just the buttons to continue. ### 1.1 — 2022-10-19 Changes to character generation that were not present in the original books but added later via errata or later rule sets: • Change: Careers without commission or promotion get 2 skills per term instead of 1. Edit the completed character to remove skills if not desired. • No Change: ATV and Air/Raft skills remain as in Book 1. Edit the completed character to change to a Vehicle skill if desired. • No Change: Ship Tactics skill for Rogues remains as in Supplement 4. Edit the completed character to change to Tactics skill if desired. • Change: Rogues and Pirates do not qualify for a pension.
