### 4/5 — Love you but where are my issues?

*2021-12-29, version 6.0.16*

Great magazine. I used to buy the print version for years here in the US and stopped (?) but then got an iPad and saw you were eventually available. Have had subscription before and no problem. This go round I paid for a yearly subscription and have only received up to September. Please fix this
PS also subscribed to Mojo and Uncut on the same day and didn’t have any problems with them.

### 5/5 — Amo - Love it!

*2017-12-28*

Very comprehensive collection of articles and reviews on all sorts of rock -and metal 🤘🏽

### 5/5 — Good Stuff For Classic Rockers

*2017-02-15*

Glad to get you back

### 1/5 — Crap

*2017-02-12, version 5.0.1*

Every time this magazine changes or updates nearly half my magazines that I purchased disappear from my Classic Rock the way it was before the update I have two classic rock apps one for the older one for that I had purchased and the new one now I can't restore at least half of them it says that they've been restored but they haven't they been transferred from the from the new look app up to the old app but they don't have any record of me paying for them .you know what I'm really getting tired of it this happens every six months to a year on this magazine and others as well if they don't fix these issues I'm not buying another one of the magazines people who are interested in collecting every issue buyer beware

### 3/5 — Unsubscribed

*2016-10-28, version 2.0*

I have been reading Classic Rock magazine for about 15 years. The iPad version was formatted for iPad/iPhone and was a great app. Around September 16 time it switched to a normal format i.e. text really small and no longer had any audio or video, no more page scrolling either. This is probably a decision by TeamRock, the publisher, so if they want to go cheapskate with CR then they can keep it.

### 2/5 — Cool App Downgraded to Simple, Stupid .pdf

*2016-08-13, version 1.0.20*

There's a lot to love about Classic Rock Magazine, but no longer does that include the formerly functional and fun CR Mag app. They've gone from lots of sweet interactive features and halfway-hidden Easter eggy things to a simple, dumb "picture" of each page of the print mag. A PDF, in other words. Sorry, I'm unsubbing. Might pick up the paper copy now and then.

### 1/5 — Form Over Function

*2015-05-09, version 1.0.20*

I'm sorry to say that I really dislike the new Classic Rock app and have not renewed my digital subscription because of it.

The main reason for my dislike is that the ability to zoom is disabled on many of the pages and this drives me completely bonkers! One of the joys of reading digital magazines is to be able to zoom and pan to your heart's content, whether it be to comfortably view text or enlarge photos. The 'snazzy' new format seems to randomly disable this and I have no idea why, but it's an epic fail in my book.

I also do not appreciate the degree of multiple scrolling that is required to view further text, particularly within small breakout boxes where it is very easy to miss hidden content due to the need to scroll sideways within the box. Finally, any enhanced content is simply not worth having at the moment.

If you can bring back the simple navigation and zoomability of the original app, then I will return, as it's a great magazine, ruined by an overly-flashy app.

### 3/5 — OK FIXED IT

*2014-12-05, version 1.0.20*

The magazine is great and I have been an avid reader for years. Now my subscription has vanished with the new App. I was so annoyed with the initial poor response. Now, I have to say they fixed my subscription and the App does look good, with the interactive magazine. It's just a pity they had to kill the subscription, generate heartache and probably alienate a number of readers. TeamRock, I hope you learn from what you did. That said, thanks for a great magazine and thanks to your customer service people. So 5 stars for the new App, 1star for the way you brought it in.

### 5/5 — classic rock app

*2014-12-05, version 1.0.20*

Great app, easy to use, all the articles are to my fingertips and makes reading the magazine extremely easy. Loads better now with TeamRock

### 4/5 — Classic Rock.

*2014-10-12, version 1.0.20*

Great magazine when the app works! I cannot download the latest issue even after trying all sorts of fixes that usually work. Contacting Team Rock doesn't help either, even when they do eventually decide to get back to you. Having even worse problems with their Metal Hammer app. Sort it out Team Rock!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Has stopped working & now unable to sign into my account.

*2026-06-24, version 7.1.141*

About a month ago I couldn’t view the latest copy of the Mag and it was asking me to pay for individual copies despite having a subscription. I tried logging out and back in again (it has worked in the past) and I got an error message and for the last month I have been unable to log in to my account. I contacted the publisher who informed me that there is a ‘technical issue’ and it will be fixed shortly. I’m not sure what their version of ‘shortly’ is because a month later it still isn’t fixed. I love the Mag and have been a reader for years but the app is rubbish.

### 1/5 — Started charging me again…

*2024-06-03, version 7.1.1*

Four months after I paid the yearly subscription they charged me again for individual magazines. I’m still waiting for a reply from my email.

### 1/5 — Great app if it would work

*2022-09-21, version 6.4*

No matter what I do, including three help requests, it won’t allow me the new issues even though I have a year subscription.

Delete app.
Restore.
Nothing changes.

Had bought through magazines inc originally, now bought directly through apple and and now no one seems able to comprehend basic 2022 technology.

Still waiting to read the past two months new issues I paid for and don’t have access to.

### 1/5 — Application à éviter

*2021-04-22*

### 1/5 — Subscription not working

*2019-08-02, version 5.1.02*

Even though I have an active subscription - it is trying to charge me for the latest issue.

### 1/5 — Absolute rubbish

*2018-08-02, version 5.1.02*

Don’t bother! App doesn’t work properly as it keeps freezing all the time! Was holding out for a new phone to see if things changed but still the same. Tried contacting classic rock about the problem but won’t even dignify me with a response! Will be cancelling my subscription which is a shame because I love reading this magazine! Why offer an app which doesn’t work properly???????

### 1/5 — Problems problems problems

*2017-07-09, version 5.0.1*

Had a problem with app and my mags disappeared..reinstalled and now still can't get my mags. Time to cancel subscription I think.

### 1/5 — Lying & Rude feeling totally screwed... It's a rip off

*2017-04-15, version 5.0.1*

...to paraphrase Mr Marc.

3rd time now that I've paid for a subscription only to have the mag change ownership, or whatever, and have all the issues I've paid for just disappear. Fool me once, twice, blah blah blah...

Once my current subscription is thru I won't be renewing. I'll go back to reading new issues in the bookstore. It is still a decent mag after all. Just not keen on setting fire to my money any longer.

### 1/5 — Please refund me all my paid magazines

*2017-03-04, version 5.0.1*

This is unbelievable that Apple enables this ripoff through the App Store. Please bring back all my paid magazines to my account or refund me my money for all what I paid you.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Essential Rock

*2026-06-23, version 7.1.141*

The only serious magazine for rock fans these days. Comprehensive coverage of all aspects of rock.

### 5/5 — The Best RocknRollMag

*2026-05-28, version 7.1.141*

The only RocknRoll magazine that I love to read

### 5/5 — Appreciation

*2026-05-02, version 7.1.141*

Like articles on mana old and new music group.

### 5/5 — Great Mag. Online subscription is the way to go.

*2026-04-30, version 7.1.141*

I subscribed after realising that I could save loads of money going digital and I’ll never look back. The app alerts me whenever there’s a new issue and it’s a quarter of the price of print. Everything runs beautifully with the app - I would like to know more about the bands featured on the CD that come with the printed versions. Hopefully there’s Spotify lists ai don’t know about. Other than that, it’s great all round.

### 5/5 — Great Magazine!!!

*2026-04-30, version 7.1.141*

Been a reader since the beginning and have never, ever been disappointed in the least. The customer service is exceptional as well.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2025-09-01, version 7.1.141*

This is the best classic rock magazine available. It includes some great journalists and photographers and covers a wide range of rock music.
Classic rock may be seen as a dying scene but this mag flies the flag brilliantly and proves this isn’t the case.
The Ozzy tribute copy was a triumph.

### 5/5 — Best Rock Magazine Ever!

*2020-02-13, version 5.6.3*

These guys are simply the best. I grew up during the 70’s and I’ve learned more about my favorite bands from Classic Rock than I did from all the other publications back then combined. They also keep me up to date with the activities of the Classic bands that are still active and turn me on to new bands in the Classic vein. They also have more album reviews than anyone I’ve seen. I purchased the download edition of the magazine and now I don’t have to hunt it down in magazine stores anymore. If you love Classic Rock, you NEED this!

### 5/5 — Great Mag. Online subscription is the way to go.

App is easy to use and if you like your classic rock - this is the place

### 5/5 — Best Rock Mag out there
