The curators at the radio station where this is produced are really good and provide a varied, entertaining selection of works by composers from all over the classical musical spectrum. However, the Director doesn’t want me to do that whatever reason she doesn’t appreciate Classical Music and I do understand her position, but I feel it would be a wonderful thing for the children to really start to listen to so keep me in mind when I’m trying to introduce a song to to the children. I tutor children that’s where I introduced classical music to them. The new app doesn’t work and is so poorly designed that the icon that is supposed to connect to my speakers is on top of the volume indicator. And after repeated tries, still doesn’t work. The softness of the evening is gone when I hear “ hello and welcome…” ### 1/5 — Can’t stream KUSC anymore *2024-09-28, version 5.10.6* I noticed that the app on my iPhone was updated 2 days ago, which is exactly when the KUSC stream via IHeartRadio stopped playing via my Echoes, in the middle of the day. I just tried the app but although it shows it as playing, there is no sound. The app also asked me to let it access my music library for some reason and I said no. It never asked me for that before. I also tried streaming KUSC via the IHeartRadio app on my Roku and got a “content not available” message. Alexa says that it’s having trouble playing the station right now. I also am not able to hear anything if I pull up the website in Safari or Chrome and hitting the play button makes it spin endlessly. Their website doesn’t say anything about having technical difficulties and i don’t want to open a ticket because they want my phone number and I don’t want to give it out, so hopefully someone from there is checking the reviews. ### 1/5 — can’t open app *2018-01-11, version 5.2.3* new update caused app crash every time I try to open it. ### 2/5 — Tune out when it’s time for L Downs *2025-06-16, version 5.10.14* How many times must we hear L Downs name or her promotion of herself and her piano music . Like with other radio apps that can play in the background, you need to pause the music before you close the app. But then, a few minutes later, my iPod starts playing classical music again. Without my even touching it! Weird.
