This app now sits on my top 2 but definitely beats the 2 I mentioned, I feel this app is an integration between iOS6-7. Also as someone who drives a lot the ability to use Siri it’s a big plus and something that Apple has also been ruining as of lately. When I want to look at my Genre list, I want to see the Artists who I’ve associated songs to that Genre. This app offers no option and only shows Albums. I simply ask for the option to display the Artists who have songs attached to a selected Genre. Seeing thousands of album names is useless to me. Ideally there would also be a Play All button easily accessible from the Genre tab. ### 3/5 — Needs a tweak *2026-01-17, version 1.0.22* I am happy about not being berated by Apple Music ads. I do, however, find irritation in that every time I open the phone to start some music up or get in the car to play music, it does not start up where it left off. I have to constantly reset the play queue, etc. Playlists remain intact, but I don’t want to use playlists all the time. If I have a queue, I would like it to pick up where it left off next time I start music. ### 3/5 — Classic look is great but.... *2021-01-27, version 1.0.20* I do like the look of this player. It’s the same look as my earlier version iPad. I don’t like the current version that my latest iPod has. The drawback is that I have an album that that is over 25 minutes continuous in one piece. So I edited it into many cuts. They should actually play back to back continuously. There’s always a gap between the cuts and I cannot figure how to make them play continuously. The crossfade option does not have a selection for continuous playback with no gaps. The stock music player does have a continuous playback. Still looking for gapless playback in subsequent updates. ### 4/5 — Great! But… *2024-09-18, version 1.0.22* This is everything I miss about my iPod touch 4. Get this app instead! ClassicPod returns to a simple interface with easy browsing and album artwork at full screen width. This app uses the iTunes library already on your phone, but adds a simplified interface that looks more like the old iPod interface.
