## What is Clavis?

Planetary Clock is a precise, beautifully simple planetary-hours clock.

Since antiquity, each day and night has been divided into twelve unequal hours, each governed by one of the seven classical planets in the Chaldean order. Planetary Clock computes these hours with astronomical accuracy from the true sunrise and sunset in the city you choose.

• Current planetary hour — see which planet rules right now, with a live countdown to the next hour.
• Ruler of the day — the classical planet that governs today.
• Upcoming hours — a clear timeline of the planetary hours ahead, from sunrise to sunset and through the night.
• Moon phase — the current phase and illumination of the Moon.
• Monthly calendar — lunar phases and planetary hours at a glance.
• 3D chart — your birth chart rendered in three dimensions, with transits and aspects.
• Sync across devices — sign in and your calendar and chart settings follow you.

Planetary Clock is a subscription app. A monthly or annual plan unlocks everything, with a free trial when your Apple Account is eligible. No ads, and no tracking.

Signing in with Apple or Google keeps your data in step across your devices. You pick your city by searching for it — the app does not use GPS — and every planetary hour is computed from that city's coordinates and time zone, so the same place is used on every device.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-27

This release sharpens the reminders.

Notes you write on an event now appear in the reminder itself. Reminders are marked Time Sensitive, so a Focus mode no longer holds them back. And planetary hours now begin exactly at the minute shown on screen — the countdown and the clock finally agree, down to the second.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-27

Planetary Clock now offers a subscription for new users.

If you already have an account, nothing changes: you keep full access at no cost, exactly as before.

Also in this release: the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy now open correctly from every screen, and both documents ship with the app instead of being fetched from the network.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-19

This release is about the details.

• Clavis now follows your device language automatically — one less setting to keep in sync.
• Terms of Service and Privacy Policy opened with no way back, and their titles were missing from the navigation bar. Both fixed.
• Picking your city on first launch is steadier: Clavis now waits for your city to load instead of moving on without it, so the planetary hours are right from the very first screen.
• Fixed a leak that kept the Home, Calendar, event and city search screens in memory after you left them — the app stays lighter through a long session.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-14

Now on iPad — Planetary Clock runs natively on iPad, in portrait and landscape, with every screen using the full display.

Also in this update:

• The full schedule of the day's 24 planetary hours, and the hour picker when you create an event, now open full screen instead of as a small panel. On iPad you can see most of the day at once.
• The Moon on the Home screen was lighting the wrong side. It is now correct in both hemispheres, and the crescent is tilted the way it really appears from the city you chose.
• Event notifications could arrive up to 12 hours off after the device changed time zone.
• Notification history now records the notifications that arrive, not only the ones you tapped.
• The Privacy Policy can now be read inside the app, from Settings.
• Observatory is now the only theme; the theme picker has been removed.

• Accounts — sign in with Apple or Google.
• Sync across devices — your calendar and 3D chart now follow you from one device to another.
• Bug fixes and refinements throughout.
