I don’t believe this tool is based on science or physiological study. It is more like a simple game. 
In my opinion, an eye exercise should accurately represent the stimuli when shooting. It should also respect the amount of time you are really focused on the target. This app does not enforce any of those things. Again, in my opinion. For example, when shooting, your eyes should not be focused close to you, they should be relaxed, upon acquisition of the target, your eyes should come in to focus the target. This app has you focused at arms length. Etc.
