## What is Clean Bowled?

Point your iPhone at the pitch and get the speed of every ball - automatically. No tapping a stopwatch, no marking frames by hand, no uploading footage and waiting for results.

Clean Bowled actually tracks the ball. Seconds after each delivery you get the speed, the bounce point on a pitch map, and a shareable clip with the ball's trajectory drawn over the video - all analysed on your phone, free, with no subscription.

HOW IT WORKS
Put your phone on a tripod a few metres behind the stumps (or hold it steady), press record, and bowl. Clean Bowled spots each delivery automatically from the bowler's action, tracks the ball through the air and off the pitch, and works out the speed from the ball's real flight — not from when you happened to tap a button.

EVERY DELIVERY, MEASURED
- The speed of every ball, in km/h or mph
- The bounce point plotted on a pitch map — watch your line and length build over a session
- The trajectory drawn over the video, comet-trail style
- A two-second highlight clip of every delivery, ready to share

BUILT FOR REAL TRAINING
- Works at the nets, in the backyard, or at the ground
- Analyse live, or import existing videos from your camera roll
- Stumps detected automatically - and optional, if they're not in frame
- Hand-held capture supported (a tripod gives the best results)
- Honest speed reads: when a capture was hand-held or a bounce point was estimated, the app says so, so you know how much to trust the number

SHARE THE PROOF
Every delivery becomes a clip with the trajectory and speed overlaid. Send it straight to iMessage, WhatsApp, or Instagram — proof, not claims.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All analysis happens on your iPhone. No account, no cloud processing, no data collection. Your footage never leaves your phone.

GETTING STARTED
Setup takes about two minutes: tripod (or stand holding the phone) behind the bowler's stumps, both sets of stumps in frame, camera at least four metres back. The app does the rest.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 7.0 — 2026-08-12

New in v7 — privacy mode, 3D replays and a full-page pitch map

- Privacy mode: train without keeping footage. Speeds, bounce points and an animated replay of every delivery are saved — camera video never is. Ideal for junior nets and shared facilities.
- Watch any delivery in 3D: orbit and zoom around the pitch, or jump straight to the bowler's, batter's or elevated view, with the ball's flight, bounce and length rendered in a full 3D scene.
- The pitch map now fills the page: every bounce point in your session, colour-coded by length and plotted at true proportions — over a real photo of your own pitch once the session captures one. Tap any ball for speed and length, then jump straight to its replay.

### 6.0 — 2026-08-10

New in v6 — smoother 60 fps recording and sharper speed tracking

- Record at 60 fps: capture twice the frames, so fast deliveries are tracked through more of their flight and clips play back smoother.
- A new on-device stump detector pinpoints the stumps more precisely for steadier speed readings — and it's smart enough to wait when a player blocks the stumps instead of guessing.
- Analysis is faster too: the tracker focuses its heaviest processing on the ball's flight path, keeping speed detection responsive at 60 fps.

### 5.0 — 2026-07-23

New in v5 — bulk exports and more reliable speed detection

- Swipe a session in the list and tap Export to send every delivery's original clip — no speed overlay — straight to the Files app.
- More deliveries now get reliable speed tracking — improved detection of both ball release and bounce point makes the tracker work with a wider variety of bowling styles and conditions.
- Works accurately on sloped pitches too — the tracker now adjusts for any incline or decline instead of assuming a flat surface, so speeds and bounce points stay accurate wherever you bowl.

### 4.0 — 2026-07-18

New in v4 — three new languages and accuracy warning on speed reads

- Clean Bowled now speaks Hindi, Sinhala, and Urdu. Switch in Settings → Apps → Clean Bowled → Language.
- Speed reads now show a caveat when the capture was hand-held or the bounce point was estimated, so you know how much to trust the number.

### 3.0 — 2026-07-15

What's New in v3 — July 2026

Hand-held capture, automatic stump detection, and improved UI

  - Limited support for hand-held live capture — automatic tripod detection adjusts sensitivity for stable device setups.
  - Auto-lock stumps with intelligent refinement — manually adjust stump positions if needed before locking in.
  - Stumps are now optional — capture and analyse deliveries even without them in frame.
  - Improved algorithm for pinpointing where each delivery bounced using better physics modelling.
  - Adjust detector resolution and accuracy to balance between quality and device performance.
  - Save captured deliveries at 1080p for higher quality clips and exports.
  - Redesigned UI with improved session browsing, full-screen delivery details, and pitch maps.
  - Full landscape capture support for more flexible device positioning.
