The only other thing I wish this had is a way to turn in the light on the phone. ### 4/5 — Simple and clean *2021-08-12, version 2.1* Would give this 5 stars except it has a bug in landscape mode that is really annoying: you can’t refocus while in landscape or else it resets to portrait. However, one major caveat with it is while using it on some of the latest iPhone (e.g iPhone 10 max) that does not have a traditional home button and this app shows a white bar at the bottom which shows up in the feed. Kind regards, Bailey Nahi. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not exactly doing what it says *2020-05-11* I’ve chatted with the developer on the OBS forum and he’s assured me that it works with multiple iPhones but it’s not working for me. I’m running an IPhone 11 and an IPhone 8 on OBS Software on a iMac but I can only get 1 phone to work. Luckily that phone works with zero latency when used so that’s a plus in my rating. If the developer can review my OBS file on the forum and fix the error with the 2nd camera / phone, I will adjust my score. But for now it’s 2 stars UPDATE - To confirm, it doesn’t matter which phone I use, when the 2nd phone is attached to my iMac or MacBook Pro - the 2nd phone crashes the app. It’s impossible to add a 2nd phone without a systems crash. I’ve sent the OBS crash file to the app creator on the OBS forum but haven’t had a reply. **Developer response:** Hey, thank you for your feedback. UPDATE - Hi Kuffdam, unfortunately your issue cannot be replicated and it appears that you have a unique case. It saddens me to hear that you are facing this problem and I will to do whatever I can from my end to support you. Unless the app is crashing on the iPhone, it sounds like you’re facing an issue with either the system setup (i.e. iTunes drivers / iOS outdated) or the OBS software itself that you are using. Are you being prompted on the iPhone to “trust” your computer when you connect? Which version of OBS are you using? I have tried all apps that I know of on App Store that will have clean feed video output over USB to use with Ecamm Live, yes, all free and paid, and in my opinion this one is definitely the best app to provide you with a full HD output, not stretched across the screen. Why only two stars? Well there’s two things that are missing to make this a five-star app. One is on all mobile devices that do not have home button, you have this white switcher bar at the bottom of the screen always showing, therefore that goes into your video feed which other apps would have that bar fade out after couple of seconds when using the app. The second one is it would be absolutely amazing if you could have ability to switch between all lenses on a newer iPhones... I hope this gets added to the functionality, I would love to rate this app five stars! **Developer response:** Hi, thank you so much for your feedback. Kind regards, Bailey Nahi. ### 3/5 — Showed the Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro Max through the HDMI port *2023-03-15* Clean Feed delivered an -almost- clean feed, but clearly the app needs updating for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, because the Dynamic Island was displayed, replete with the orange dot. It was a shame to see it there, because it goes against what Clean Feed is about. If you tap for focus and lighting while the camera is looking straight down, the image direction reorients to portrait mode, normal phone orientation. I would love it to keep orientation set the same and only redo focus and lighting. ### 5/5 — Using for OBS *2020-12-17* I bought this to use an iPad and an iPhone as cameras for streaming. I use lightning to HDMI adapters to feed in to an Atem mini switcher. I had not realised till I started using this App that the iPad is not 16:9, the image from the iPhone fills the screen, unfortunately the iPad image has black bars either side. I wonder whether a future update might allow the user to select different shape images from the cameras. The standard apple camera app gives you square and panorama, it would be amazing if the clean feed app could give me a 16:9 widescreen camera on an iPad. ### 5/5 — Great Virtual Webcam *2020-10-16, version 2.1* Makes a great virtual webcam for Zoom on the Mac when paired with OBS, thanks to the recent Zoom update. ### 5/5 — Amazingly fast response!
