## What is CleanEats?

CleanEats helps you hit your weight goal. Whether it's losing weight, gaining weight or putting on muscle, we exist to make sure you get there.

We’re your favourite motivating food scanning, calorie tracking and meal planning app. Our mascot, Cleany, will guide you everyday and keep you accountable.

Once you've set your goal and told us a bit about yourself, we’ll help you get there with a bunch of fun and useful features:

MEAL SCANNING
Simply take a picture of your food and we will tell you exactly what calories and macros are in it. You can also voicenote or type in what you ate and Cleany will figure it all out for you.

AI CALORIE TRACKING
Cleany's stomach fills when you log food! Just keep logging food to fill him up throughout the day and see your macros broken out inside Cleany's stomach. Just try not to go over your target or you're in for a bad surprise.

MEAL PLANNING
If you're into cooking, Cleany is here to help. He's built an entire meal planner for your week based on your calorie/protein target, where you shop, who else you cook for and what equipment you have. In seconds, he'll build a bespoke menu for the week and a itemised shopping list so you can buy everything you need

FAST RESULTS
We know it's all about making the change you want to see. Cleany's progress tracker logs your weight and progress pictures to ensure you start seeing results within 2 weeks.

PERSONALISED NUTRITION ADVICE 
Health review on everything you consume, scored on your body, your goals and how it's going to affect you. Get 24/7 nutrition advice from Cleany to make sure you're eating the right food.

Downloaded, went through the paywall for free subscription trial. Cancelled within minutes, because the app wasn’t what I was looking for. Lo and behold, was charged $19.99 for a yearly subscription the very next day… AFTER cancelling and deleting the app. SCAM. DO NOT USE.

This is the only app I’ve used that refuses to issue a refund for an accidental purchase made by a child. We canceled the subscription and requested a refund as soon as we received the receipt email, but the refund was still denied. What a scam!

Every meal teaches you something.

Cleany's new belly shows your day as it happens. Scan a meal and its macros drop in as colored pearls, so patterns you'd never spot in a list of numbers become obvious: the snack that was mostly sugar, the lunch that carried your protein.

This update fixes a crash that some users hit during onboarding on iOS 18, along with a crash when using the microphone to describe a meal. If the app has ever quit unexpectedly on you, this update is worth it for that alone.

• Weekly meal planner: build your week of meals around your calories and diet, then get the shopping list in one tap
• Log a meal in one tap: your recent foods are now right on the scanner

"Fix this" got a lot smarter
Result looking off? Say what's wrong in plain English ("there was bacon in it too") and we'll redo it. And when you name a branded item ("the bang bang lunch box from M&S"), we now look up the real product instead of estimating. Much better numbers on shop-bought and takeaway food.

Your health report just came to life
Scan something and Cleany properly reacts to it, with a full animation for how that food is about to treat your body. And he's got something to say about it: every caption is written fresh for the exact thing you scanned and the goal you're chasing. No two scans read the same.

Progress tab, rebuilt
• A redesigned weight chart you can scrub through, over a month, six months or the whole year
• Set a goal and get an honest read on whether your pace is realistic, plus the date you'll actually hit it
• Progress photos line up with your chart, so you can swipe back through the whole journey
• Log list with photo thumbnails, swipe to delete, and photos optional if you're not feeling it today

Bug fixes worth shouting about
• Meal reminders now open the scanner when you tap them. They were dumping you on the home screen instead, which was quietly annoying and entirely our fault.
• Fixed a crash on the height and weight pickers during onboarding.
• The weight dial used to freeze for a couple of seconds before it woke up. It doesn't anymore.
• A pile of weight-tracking fixes: decimals no longer round away, editing your goal no longer wipes your starting weight, backdated weigh-ins land on the right day, and goal weights above your current weight finally get a real plan.
• Fixed prices occasionally showing in dollars when they shouldn't.

Forgot to log lunch? Nothing to scan?

Describe what you ate by typing or saying it out loud ("chicken burrito and a mango smoothie") and Cleany will turn your words into a fully scored entry: calories, macros, and your personal score. Restaurant meals, home cooking, or catching up at 10pm. Logging has never been this effortless.
