The amount of doubles and triples was crazy. having just had another computer die I decided to purchase the cleaner app so that I didn’t pass on all the space-taking doubles. it’s a great deal for about 30 bucks Canadian. It worked immediately, but there were a bunch of files that I couldn't get it to erase so I contacted the company and they were great – easing me through methods of unlocking a lot of files and folders which was in itself a great education and got results. I have bought the pro version a while ago, and on their App Cleaner 7 says the app has no support for macOS13(not working at all, it won't open on macOS13), and when I tried to upgrade to App Cleaner 8 and tried to use my old license :it says I have the license for an old version. I payed and none of the apps are working. They want me to buy another license for version 8. Payed for the app and non of the apps are working and they ask for more money. You decide if this is fair. CleanMyMac sends out false alarm warning messages indicating that your Mac is out of disk space – but it’s not accurate. And in fact CleanMyMac does a barely average job of finding space hogs on your Mac to clean up. The Cleaner-App doesn’t have the glossy UI that CleanMyMac has – but it does a much better job of recovering disk space! The Cleaner-App really does recover large amounts of disk space. Plus the Cleaner-App doesn’t require a subscription.
