The desktop version is better. My main complaint is that the app hides bills that are due today and tomorrow. Once today passes, you are able to see the bills and the same for the next day. It is annoying. ### 4/5 — Running Ledger Balance *2026-05-30, version 6.2.9* Been using this app for years and love it, but definitely needs a feature that allows you to see a running ledger balance under the normal ledger balance like credit cards do. Syncs pretty well between the online version and our phones. I do wish it was a bit more intuitive and they could make the sections a bit bigger on the online version. It would also be nice if you could add categories easier and add a note section. ### 2/5 — Update is Terrible *2024-11-22, version 6.0.4* My husband and I have used this app for several years. Every single update makes it harder to use and a worse version than before. This newest update is a giant pain. I want to go into the account I’m taking from. This update makes you put in transactions on the main page. It never stops spinning. I’m uncertain if it’s trying to post the transaction I just made or if it’s syncing up my other devices, but this was not an issue prior to the update and the spinning doesn’t stop ### 3/5 — Hate the Update *2022-07-15, version 5.1.3* I liked the old style better. My balances take forever to load and update since the new version came out. Sometimes I have to force close the app and then go back in for it to finally sync. And then you upgraded my version a couple of days ago. The accounts are in complete disarray. If you want an accounting program use quicken. It’s easier even for a consumer. They are trying to sound smart and not using basic language coupled with the fact all their help is not current with user interface ( removed the term Jive in 2011? But all documentation still refers to jive instead of Clear?) Disappointing ### 1/5 — App is Disappointing *2023-08-20, version 5.1.21* I just signed up and set up the website version which is not as user friendly as most online budget sites but works for what I need it to do. But then one of my transactions at the grocery store disappeared in my register and I can’t get it back. I have deleted the app and tried again with the same results. The top bar is completely blank now with no buttons. No idea what the three star complaint is. Not valid. I love this and its helped me a ton. I wrote Brandon, but it hasn’t been fixed and his work around suggestion for adding transactions does not work. I have a XR and have the most current iOS update (15.1). My work around was to add the web version link to my home screen. I really hope that all of this will not cause me to lose all my data! I will edit this review once it has been fixed. Update: Brandon was very proactive with apple and got the app running within a day. Thanks Brandon, you da man. ### 5/5 — The only checkbook registered I use *2022-03-04, version 4.1.15* This is the only checkbook register I have ever used, I believe since the earlier parts of 2008. No other software has such a responsive staff that supports the software title and it does exactly what I need it to do. I can track my transactions down from the time I execute my transaction or I can go back a couple days later and put my transactions in, then clear the transactions with my bank. The one feature I do not use is the link account feature. I have a paranoia that I do not like to connect my checking account or savings account to third-party software. So I cannot speak to the linking of the accounts, but, I am sure that it is a secure link and it will not jeopardize the accounts of those folks that use this app. I do pay the annual fee to which I think is well deserved by the staff and developer of the software. If the fee is required every year, I would continue to pay. I love the membership features that it offers as well as the additional controls that allow you to maintain accountability of your personal finances. I couldn’t be happier with a design of software that allows me to track my personal finances and the money I lent out to others. This is why I gave a five star rating.
