Find care you can afford, and know what it costs before you go.

ClearCost is free. If you don't have insurance, we'll show you community health centers and free clinics near you — many charge based on your income and see you regardless of your ability to pay. If you do have insurance, you can see what your plan has negotiated with each hospital.

Tell us what kind of care you need in plain language — a checkup, an urgent problem, a scan, a prescription — and we'll show you places near you that can help, closest first, with how they charge and what to ask for when you call.

Search any procedure by name or code and see what hospitals near you charge, alongside the rates your plan has negotiated.

READ YOUR BILL
Photograph an itemized bill, an EOB, or a Good Faith Estimate. We pull out the line items, show you what each code means, and tell you what you can do next. Scanning is free and unlimited, and your bill is read on your device.

WHAT WE WON'T DO
We won't show you a price we can't stand behind. If we don't have a number from a named source, we say so and tell you who to call instead. We don't rank hospitals as good or bad, and we don't tell you a price is a bargain — that's your call to make, not ours.

Prices come from the machine-readable files that insurers and hospitals are required to publish under federal transparency rules, and from Medicare's public quality ratings.

Bill scanning is now reachable. It is in Coverage, under Quick Links — photograph an itemized bill, an EOB or a Good Faith Estimate and we'll pull out the line items. The feature was built and described here, but nothing in the app opened it. That's fixed.

Also in this version:

- VoiceOver users can now set a ZIP code. The location sheet read as a single run-on label with nothing to tap, which meant the whole "find care near me" flow was unreachable with VoiceOver on.
- The sample bills on the scan screen are individually named, so a screen reader says which one it's about to open.

Bill scanning is free and unlimited. It was listed as a paid feature; it never should have been, and it isn't now.

Also in this version:

- Your account, insurance and app settings are one screen instead of three.
- Hospital quality now shows Medicare's official star rating rather than user reviews.
- Cash prices lead on procedure pages, with your plan's negotiated rate a tap away.
- Prices we can't trace to a named source no longer render as a number. You get a plain "call and ask" and a phone number instead.
- Fixed a crash on the Price Alerts screen.
- Clearer wording throughout, and provider names no longer SHOUT IN CAPITALS.
