Then Clearcover is the choice for you. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE THEM AS AN INSURER *2025-05-20, version 5.0.6* Sort of a long explanation coming up but to sum it up for you I am now paying 1/3rd of what I was with Clearcover with a better policy RUN FOR THE HILLS AND CANCEL YOUR POLICY!!!!! When I first started my policy Clearcover it wasn’t that bad, and I was actually pretty content. Then they increased my premium by ~33% in a year, and seemingly had zero intention of slowing down. I had no claims, no tickets, no new vehicles or drivers my entire time with them. I just switched insurers and am literally paying A THIRD of what I was with Clearcover, not to mention I have more coverage now. I literally cannot comprehend how they were legally allowed to overcharge me by such an amount, I filed multiple complaints with my state’s department of insurance and am waiting on a response from them but there’s something weird going on with this company. I have literally never cared enough to type out a review before but my experience with Clearcover could not have been worse, and their customer service managers (not reps) were completely dismissive of my concerns. They are scammers and if you started a policy with them, I urge you to stop all payments and cancel as soon as possible. ### 1/5 — Grimey *2025-05-17, version 5.0.5* If I could give Clearcover zero stars, I would. Over the course of just five months, they increased my monthly premium by over $50 without a single claim, ticket, or any change on my end. No explanation, no warning—just a consistent drain on my wallet for absolutely nothing in return. They lure you in with low rates, and once you're settled, they jack up your price like you won the lottery—except the only ones cashing in are them. Their so-called “smart insurance” is nothing more than a polished con job. Transparency? Nonexistent. Accountability? Forget it. Customer service? Robotic and unhelpful at best. Clearcover, you're not just bad at business—you're predatory. I hope every dollar you’ve scammed out of hardworking people like me haunts you. You can take your algorithmic price-gouging and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Steer clear of Clearcover. You'll regret ever signing up. ### 1/5 — Poor Exclusive AI Customer Assistance *2025-04-21, version 5.0.4* I have roadside assistance coverage with Clearcover but was required to provide my credit card to third party before assistance was authorized. I have been charged $93.00 for a battery recharge. Every AI option for customer service, via phone or chat, is with an AI bot and no one can answer my call despite long hold times. Asked their idiotic AI and its response was to find the “Share ID Card” button on their Home Screen. The problem is that there is no “Share ID card” button on their Home Screen. And of course, there’s no actual people working to help. Not only did they raise their insurance price - their app and customer service is nearly nonexistent as well. It was a mistake renewing with ClearCover when the app can’t even provide the most basic functions like looking at or sharing your ID card. ### 1/5 — Would love to try the app/coverage but I can’t. *2025-03-07, version 5.0.4* When I try to make an account it doesn’t send me a confirmation email.
