This company makes millions of dollars and they can’t hire somebody for $30,000 to make them a decent app. Ridiculous. ### 1/5 — STILL GARBAGE *2025-04-11, version 1.0.5* Still does not work. I waited months and finally received the power supply. I just took the time to swap out the power supply, downloaded the new app and it will not let me connect with my username and password. All of the instructions in the app still say 2.4 MHz. Ridiculous. I called to get some help and had to leave a voicemail stating that it could take up to 48 hours to get a return phone call. Constantly disconnects from the sauna, requiring restarting the process from the beginning. Completely defeats the purpose of having an app. Is Clearlight’s IT team a couple of drunken monkeys? I did all that was instructed, and more. Hard to believe how terrible this app is to get to work. Do better Clearlight! You’re right in the middle of some of the best colleges in the country that excel in tech, and yet you can’t figure this out. So much money for a sauna, and such a pathetic app to dump on your customers base. Make sure to use the instructions on the Clearlight site because it wasn’t clear that I needed to login to its dedicated WiFi before it could locate my sauna. Once it got set up, it’s really easy to use and awesome to be able to warm it up on the way home. ### 5/5 — 2025 App Fix *2025-12-26, version 1.0.5* First, I would like to say I have shared the experiences of many of the negative reviewers and tried my of the suggested fixes without success. As a result, I contacted the company and spoke to a real person (the sales person that helped with the purchase) who explained the company has resolved the issue recently by replacing the power supply box. They sent me a replacement box without charge. I had our electrician do the swap as the very clear instructions seemed daunting to me. The electrician confirmed it was very straightforward and maybe spent a total of 40 mins on the whole job. I did have to contact Clearlight's support line to get the app up and running, more from user error at my end but the NEW 5 GHZ app is working PERFECTLY. The most important part is to delete the old app and set up a new account using a different email. The app has been working as expected now, allowing for remote start up and allowing for the sauna to stay on for extended hours beyond the 1 hr manual setting. It’s wonderful! Anyway, I’m writing this because I love the sauna and the company has addressed the issue that has caused a lot of frustration for sometime. Having the working app is the icing on the cake for a great product. ### 5/5 — Does the job. *2025-10-11, version 1.0.5* Connected no problem and lets me turn on sauna remotely and monitor warm up time. Once installed it does have nice features. After a year of trying to get the app to work with my phone clearlight sent us the new 5gig power supply and instructed us to download the new app. Finally working after a year of troubleshooting. Thankful they stood by their product and have helped us finally get this remedied. This is only 3 stars because although the app works and will allow you to turn on your sauna from your phone - it’s still super clunky. Slow to respond. It’s like trying to run a modern app on an old iPhone- just super slow. Advice to devs/ownership - spend the 50-100k on a good app. It will pay dividends quickly.
