### 3/5 — Обнуляет время

*2026-08-11*

Когда я добавляю 10 или 20 минут, свое ЗАКОННОЕ время, то я захожу в приложение и проходит ровно секунда, за которую я не успеваю посмотреть даже половину малюсенького ролика и он мне опять блокирует приложение

### 2/5 — Bugs

*2026-08-06*

The app is made thoughtfully but what a worst team of engineers you have. Bugs on every step

### 3/5 — Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't

*2026-07-15, version 2.7.2*

When I can get the app to work, it actually does help me a lot and can allot me some time to use my most addicting apps, but when the time limit is up, it makes it harder to get back into it instead of the usual apple screen time limit where you can just ignore it. And the allotted uses a day does make me feel more selective, so ultimately i'm on my phone less. HOWEVER, sometimes when i do have time to be on social media and I try to do the breathing exercise, it'll send me through the whole process, and then just not open the app up. it'll get stuck on the "load a breathing exercise" screen on the app I'm trying to open, even after I clear it out and do it several times. So, if that glitch could be fixed, it would be a really amazing app.

### 3/5 — Push-up feature needs work

*2026-07-15, version 2.7.2*

I’ve had this app for a couple years. The “push-up to scroll” challenge is the only one that works for me. But it sucks at detecting push-ups 😕 please improve this feature!!

### 2/5 — Stop trying to get money

*2026-07-09, version 2.7.2*

The app is good for blocking apps but just let us block more apps we don’t need to buy premium to block more apps thats just stupid. If you want us to be better at controlling our screen time then let us block apps rather us buying premium to do it!

### 3/5 — Не засчитывает

*2026-07-09*

Идея отличная, исполнение очень сильно хромает. Постоянно не засчитывает упражнения (все виды). Если вечером оставались минуты на утро может все обнулиться. Во благо, но бесит когда не заслуженно)

### 2/5 — It’s ok I guess. Android users left out. No way to view challenge status at end.

*2026-07-06, version 2.7.2*

Developer seems to not care about android users at all. The android app exists but is severely limited. Can’t join or participate in challenges. So some of our group is completely left out. Also at the end of group challenge there’s no way to see the stats of who was the winner or really how anyone else did at all. It just ends and is gone and if you’re not looking you will miss it. Ironic for an app whose advertised goal is to reduce screen time. Gotta watch it like a hawk or you miss the challenge results completely. Nobody in our 6 person group really knows who won last time. Or the time before. But whatever.

### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2026-07-03*

Absolutely love this app! Definitely helps me limit my scrolling time. The push-up challenge helps keep me in great shape, so it’s almost like having a bonus gym membership, as well—definitely more than worth the price tag.

That being said, there are a few updates that would make it perfect:

(1) if you need to use your app but don’t have any exercise minutes banked, you have to exit any challenge you’re currently participating in. I’ve had times where I need to use an app just for a minute or two (example to find party invite information on a social media account), but I’m out in public and can’t do push-ups. It’s demoralizing to have to leave a challenge. It would be nice to have a minute allotment set aside each day for that type of emergency use.

(2) If you start a challenge for a period of several days, you can’t switch between easy, medium, and hard modes without leaving and losing all your minutes. It’s problematic because depending on how many push-ups I’ve done the day before, my muscles may be fatigued and unable to sustain the same level of activity. At one point I actually developed an overuse injury—I was down for a little over a month, and my screen time sky-rocketed as a result!I manage the problem by sticking to one day challenges, but it would be nice to have the option to enter a longer length challenge and toggle between difficulties depending on how your muscles feel that day.

A near perfect app! Will happily bump to five stars with a few updates.

### 4/5 — Very nice 👍

*2026-06-30, version 2.7.2*

This is really good app, I’ve had it for 3 days and my screen time has already gone down by almost two hours, my only issues with it are how you can only block one app without paying money, and when you do pay it’s pretty expensive, also on the push-up challenge like 1/4 of the time it just doesn’t realize you completed a push-up but it’s definitely the best app you can choose for reducing screen time for free in my opinion so far.

### 5/5 — No longer addicted…

*2026-06-26, version 2.7.2*

Such a great app to help mitigate my phone addiction. It was recommended by my therapist! Thank you ClearSpace

### 5/5 — Hey, if you see this I am proud of yall

*2026-06-22*

So I will be sharing this app to other users, because this app os genuinely amazing.. Hopefully this explodes, and many people use it! :D

### 4/5 — fine

*2026-06-22, version 2.7.2*

great except when i try to use a minute or more, it blocks me out instantly and when i see how many minutes i have left, it still used those minutes as if it let me.

### 5/5 — Super effektiv

*2026-06-22*

Vielen Dank für diese extrem Hilfreiche und minimalistisch designte App! Ich konnte sie schon vielen weiterempfehlen und finde es super das sie für Schüler kostenlos verfügbar ist.

### 5/5 — Add sit ups

*2026-06-13*

Pls add some sort of sit up or ab exercise to help me become more well rounded

### 5/5 — Testimony From a Teenage Phone Addict

*2026-06-12*

The app truly helped limit the time I spent on certain apps. I used to have time limits on my phone but they were way too easy to bypass and I even resorted to deleting certain apps but had to constantly reinstall them because they also had message features (ex: insta) or had practical applications beyond entertainment, which still kept me hooked. Then I tried this app, skeptical at first but it really did help: it takes longer to bypass than Apple screen time limits which help counter spontaneity, it shows a line of dots representing how many time you’ve opened an app which I find helped me realize the true extent of my screen time, it allows you to block apps so easily, it allows you to unlock apps for an hour or a day on special circumstances which helped when I wanted to play a game with my friend for an extended period of time but still wanted to keep it blocked for my individual use, and it allows you to do workout challenges in order to unlock screen time (which isn’t my favorite feature because you had to do workouts to unlock the apps and I have insta blocked, but couldn’t bypass the workouts with the regular “unlock for an hour or for a day” features when there were irl issues that had to be resolved through instagram communication). Also, a slight complication is that I don’t see the instagram notification icon and don’t receive notifications from this app when it is blocked and would like to to see whether I received messages or not which forces me to open the app once everyday just to check and I end up getting messages and notifications late. Thus, I feel like the app could adjust certain features around instagram’s messaging features. However, over all, those slight complications constitute such a small portion of the app and I would definitely recommend using it if you want to help your phone use habits. I’m so glad to have used it.

### 4/5 — One other request

*2026-06-09*

I love this app but can you add either a “5 more minutes” button or a “5 minute warning” feature or even a 2 minute warning. The shock to my system every time I get suddenly shut out of an app mid-sentence or mid-word does not make it easy to then transition into work/study mode. Thank you :)

### 5/5 — Maybe not the intended goal

*2026-06-05*

Downloaded to stop scrolling but ended up being able to do 50 pushups nonstop

Yay

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — JK Rowling?????

*2026-08-14, version 2.7.4*

In an onboarding video the app uses JK Rowling as a shining light example of who we should strive to emulate. Completely unacceptable choice given her violent rhetoric and actions against trans people.

### 1/5 — Paywall

*2026-06-27, version 2.7.2*

This app seems fine until you have to pay just to block more than one app I hate to be one of those people but why do I have to pay to stop being on my phone???

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2026-06-16, version 2.7.2*

It’s like a virus it doesn’t let you install and changes your settings and turns on the setting for “don’t allow uninstalling apps”. Horrible app overall and is locked behind a subscription

### 1/5 — great app

*2026-06-01, version 2.7.2*

only making it one star so that my review is seen. however, i would recommend making the free version be able to block more apps. that’s all though.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2026-05-12, version 2.7.2*

One of the glitchiest apps I’ve ever had, randomly just cancels sessions and takes away my minutes or just simply doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Did not work.

*2026-05-04, version 2.7.2*

I would always have minutes banked and 50% of the time I tried to use them it would give me 30 seconds and keep saying my time was up when I just used 10.

### 1/5 — DONT USE

*2026-04-23, version 2.7.2*

it only has three options pushups steps and squats very bad and false advertising it says you can do others but u can only do three

### 1/5 — This taught me how to COMPETE WITH MY FRIENDS THAT IT THE STEPS THING DOESENT WORK

*2026-04-08, version 2.7.2*

1 STAR

### 1/5 — Holy why is it so buggy

*2026-03-22, version 2.7.2*

Come on, I did 20 push ups and it’s not logged? And the UX became worse since 1-2 years ago,…. Did the founders switch or sth?

### 1/5 — Subscription

*2026-03-17, version 2.7.2*

This app is a scam, once you sign up , you cannot access your subscription options and that page within the app is forever “loading” so that you can never cancel the subscription and are tied down for life. On top of this, there is an option in the settings to call a founder, which goes to voicemail every time. What a joke. Don’t waste your time and money!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Brillant

*2026-08-24*

Ive never seen a better idea. This app is so freaking cool and good.

### 5/5 — Best I’ve found

*2026-08-22, version 2.7.5*

Limiting your time based on pickups works way better than any other system I’ve tried. Doomscrolling is no more if you don’t want it to be. Also the quotes are really great, although you could replace them with goals you have to help remind you of them daily.

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2026-08-12, version 2.7.4*

Best app , reduces my screen time from 4-5 hours to 1-2

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2026-08-06*

Does not ask for payment like all apps do just simple goal meeting with no cheating my screen Tom is down to 30 thanks to this

### 5/5 — Only app that works

*2026-07-21, version 2.7.2*

ClearSpace is genuinely the only app that has helped me reduce screen time. It helped me be able to fully delete some social media apps including TikTok and I have tried multiple different screen time apps and this is the only one that has ever worked. It takes away all desire to scroll because you know you have to breathe or do an activity to scroll and half the time it’s not worth it. So yes I love this app please get if you are struggling with screen time.

### 5/5 — Super auch ohne Abo anders als critique ai

*2026-07-20*

Ich finde die App super geht klasse auch ohne Abo ähnlich wie critique ai aber kostenlos
Einfach beim setup skip klicken
Aber das Abo lohnt sich dann wenn man mehr als eine App sperren möchte wirklich
All in all super App

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-07-08*

The app is great for students like me for example and I know what I’m saying cause I have a 200 day streak. By far the best app for this purpose.

### 5/5 — Free version is actually good

*2026-07-07, version 2.7.2*

Unlike most screen time apps, the free version actually does most of what you want a screen time app to do, like the pushup counter, multiple apps, open limits, and screen time limits. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Exactly what it says on the tin

*2026-07-02, version 2.7.2*

Its a class app to stop you from doomscrolling and that typa stuff so yeah.

### 5/5 — Thank you clearspace

*2026-06-29, version 2.7.2*

I thought this would be one of those apps where you have it for a day, then get sick off it and delete it. Finishing your squats, pushups, or steps feels like you’ve completed something. It makes you feel a sense of pride and determination. This is my first month and my screen time has drastically improved. Thanks you clearspace
