Both the flights in our itinerary included on-vegetarian meals which were declined by the cabin crew in both the flights. The cabin crew in the first flight responded extremely rudely when we brought up this issue and in the second flight, they asked us to reach out to Thai Vietjet customer care for refund. When we reached out to Cleartrip (we booked the flights through Cleartrip) regarding this, they immediately dismissed it by asking us to communicate with Thai Vietjet directly. We purchased our tickets through Cleartrip and their nonchalance and their way of denying accountability has forced us to raise this issue with the Consumer Forum. ### 1/5 — Convenience fee theft *2026-06-12, version 25.5.2* You book a ticket and the flight gets cancelled by the airlines and when it comes to refund they only refund the main fair but not the convenience fee. Flight is cancelled by the airlines and why am I to pay convenience fee! No service then why charge the service charge….and if so charge the airlines not the customer but i guess your policy only charges the customer. Pathetic way to earn someone’s hard earned money. ### 5/5 — BEST APP FOR BOOKING HOTELS *2026-06-01, version 25.5.2* Looking for the cheapest hotels Clear trip is the best ever application made for bookings ### 1/5 — Worst customer support *2026-04-14* My bus was scheduled for 19:45, and I arrived at 19:30. The Cleartrip app’s live tracking failed, and by 20:10, no bus had arrived. I called the operator, who rudely told me that due to a minister's visit, the pickup point changed. He forced me to coordinate directly with a driver who didn't know the city. After being given confusing directions and treated disrespectfully, I had to take a ₹200 rickshaw to a spot 6km away, only to find the bus was actually just 1km from my original location. Cleartrip’s support was the worst part. The representative didn't even have the operator’s number and wasted an hour of my time making me explain everything while offering zero help. When I requested a refund because the operator failed to notify me of the change—as per policy—she had the audacity to ask for a formal rickshaw bill. This was a traumatic, unprofessional experience. I will never use Cleartrip again and strongly advise friends and family to stay away. Total service failure. ### 1/5 — Very Bad Experience with Booking *2025-12-19, version 25.11.0* I booked my 2 rooms in 5 star hotel in Indore but hotel gave me only one room, I complained to Clear trip executive but he wasn’t solve my Issue, he gave me an excuse like hotel gave you room after 1 hour and more but my actual time is 2 O’clock and they gave me a room at 4 O’clock. I used to book my room with Agoda and Expedia this is my first time with this site. It was really ridiculous experience with me. ### 1/5 — Such a waste experience *2025-12-16, version 25.11.0* Very bad experience even no support from Cleartrip team side when a ticket refund issue. Not recommend to anyone ### 1/5 — Urgent Request for Full Refund Due to Cleartrip App Glitch & Unfair Charges *2025-11-19* I am writing to raise a serious complaint regarding a highly disappointing experience with your app. While booking my flights, I had clearly selected my preferred onward journey flight and proceeded to the next screen. However, when I applied the “non-stop” filter for the return flight, your system automatically changed my onward journey flight without any warning or consent. This is a major design flaw and an unacceptable customer experience. No user expects the return-flight filter to silently alter the onward flight they have already confirmed. Because of this error on your platform, I unknowingly proceeded with a booking that had incorrect flight timings, which were changed by your system — not by me. Within 5 minutes of the booking, I immediately contacted your support team, yet I was still forced to pay nearly ₹5,000 in cancellation and convenience fees for a mistake entirely caused by your app glitch. This is extremely unfair, and I should not be penalized for a technical issue on Cleartrip’s end. I am requesting a full refund of the cancellation and convenience charges as this situation was not caused by my error. I trusted your platform, but this experience has caused financial loss, inconvenience, and frustration. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will have no option but to escalate this matter further, as I have clear evidence that the app changed the flight details automatically. I genuinely hope Cleartrip will take responsibility for this mistake and issue the refund at the earliest. **Developer response:** Dear Customer, we’re sorry to hear about your experience. Our team will be glad to help resolve your concern. ### 1/5 — Worst experience ever with Cleartrip! *2025-10-16* My flight was cancelled by the airline, and I received an email about it. I went to the airline’s website to choose a Plan B, but they did not allow any changes since the booking was made through Cleartrip. I immediately called the Cleartrip helpline, but the agent first denied that the flight had been cancelled. Later, she asked if I wanted to cancel or reschedule. I requested her to check rescheduling options, but she said the server was slow and taking time. Since I was getting late for work, I told her I would do it myself through the app — she agreed and did not inform me of any policy that says using the app would lead to extra charges. When I went to the app, the “Help” section under “Flight cancelled by airline” redirected me to the flight edit page, where the only options were reschedule or cancel. I chose to reschedule — and Cleartrip ended up charging me convenience fee twice, a rescheduling fee, and also downgraded my Flexi Plan ticket to a Saver Fare, which was nearly ₹1000 cheaper than what I originally paid! When I contacted support again, they refused to take responsibility, claiming it was my fault for doing it through the app — even though there is no clear instruction or policy mentioned anywhere about what to do in case of airline-initiated cancellations. This has been the worst customer service experience ever — wrongly charged, misinformed by their own agents, and absolutely no resolution.
