## What is CLEAVE?

Break every crystal on the board with the tools you are dealt. That is the whole puzzle.

Tools are never refilled. You use what you are given, in the right order, in the right place.
At most one of them may be left over.

■ Every move shows its result
Pick a tool, tap the board. The effect appears at once.
You never have to hold a long sequence in your head.
The only thing to work out is the next move.

■ Tools do what a finger cannot
- Break Cluster ... take out linked crystals together
- Break One ... take out a single crystal, linked or not
- Crush Column / Crush Row / Pierce ... clear a whole line
- Swap / Rotate ... rearrange the crystals
- Copy Color / Dye Cluster ... change the colors themselves
New tools are added as you go.

■ At most one tool to spare
Every stage was checked, one at a time, to be sure it cannot be solved
without using nearly all of the tools dealt.
No stage falls apart if you just tap around.

■ Six ranks, divided by hardness
Fluorite, quartz, corundum, diamond, and past that.
The harder the stone, the fewer the lines along which it parts.

■ Breaking the board is only the first star
Break every crystal and the stage is cleared: that is one star.
Solve it with the fewest tools for another; restart three times or fewer for another.
Three stars at most on one stage. The stars you collect open the next rank.

■ Undo when you are unsure
Three times a day, you can take back your last move.
Try something first, then decide.
If you run out, you can watch a video for more.

Boards are generated and judged entirely on your device.
The only thing that uses the network is the ads.
