يعتبر انشقاق الشفة أو الحنك من أكثر العيوب الخلقية انتشارا في منطقة الوجه و قد تشعر غالبية الأمهات اللواتي رزقن بأطفال يعانون من انشقاق الشفة بالقلق,  و قد يتساءلن هل يمكن إصلاح هذا التشوه جراحيا ؟ كيف يمكنني مساعدة طفلي؟ كيف سيكون شكل وجه طفلي بالمستقبل؟

إن إنشاء  هذا التطبيق ما هو إلا محاولة بسيطة للاجابة على بعض هذه الأسئلة وتوفير المعلومات المتعلقة بعلاج  الشفة الارنبية وشق سقف الحلق .
سيكون التطبيق حلقة وصل بين الاطباء والمتخصصين ذو الخبرة بعلاج  الشفة الارنبية وشق سقف الحلق وأهالي الأطفال ذو الشفة الأرنبية من خلال الإجابة على استفساراتهم وأسئلتهم . يجيب على الاسئلة المطروحة خلال التطبيق إستشاريون وأخصائيون من مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي بالرياض .
