## What is CleverWords?

Now with new ways to play: solo 1-person endless fun, 2-player, or original 4-player word game.
 
Play the “Mini” solo version: (1) type in a clue and select up to 5 associated words on a 9 word grid; (2) someone from the community guesses your board; (3) your “setter” rating is based on how well the community guesses your clues. Guess community boards and boost your “guesser” rating. How high can you get your rating?
 
Invite some friends and play asynchronously on your own devices. Get your bestie on board with the 2-player game or get the whole crew involved and play the original 4-player (2 against 2) game.  For both, the objective is to select all of your partner’s cards on the grid. For 4-player, try to guess all your team’s cards before the other team. Beware of the Death Card—if this is guessed the game is automatically over and your team loses!
 
Compete in the Daily Guesser from various other CleverWords games. Guess all 4 right and keep up your streak!

Have made some REALLY GOOD friends thru this app. The trick is to “friend” people you play with (or find thru the Daily Guesser). Search by name and ID icon and add them as a friend. Nobody gets notified they’ve been friended but it makes creating new games a lot easier. Generic flying solo games are hit or miss. Often they never get past go bec people don’t check notifications. Find people you like playing with, USE the chat feature and always be nice.

Can’t play for more than about 45 seconds without an ad that lasts for just as long. I understand about monetizing as much as the next guy, but it’s ridiculous.

The option to join pickup games just doesn’t work. I tried 2 and 4-person. All the buttons are duds. I downloaded the app for that purpose 

The solo mini games aren’t awful… but there are really long ads every couple moves. Way too much ad time!!

I was excited that everyone here says this is almost the same as playing code names. However, when I try to join a game. It doesn’t let me. The only thing the app lets me do is play the daily guesses. 😫

I really like that there are lots of different ways to play. I do the Daily Guesser every day and find it’s fun to build a “friend” list to see how I do against other regulars. Some on my list are truly people I know but others are just people who I’ve found who do well consistently and I’ve added them to my friend list (they have no idea, I’m sure). Playing Quick Play involves using different strategies. It’s a chance to stretch more and use looser associations when clue setting. And Two Player games are a chance to also stretch a little, to see if you can complete a board in 3 or 4 turns. Still my favorite are the classic 2 against 2 games(4 player). Some people play their turn pretty quickly and others let days go by (which is unfortunate). All are so much fun!
