I cannot get them to respond to my support request *2024-01-11* I’ve emailed their “info” email several times. Due to personal reasons, and not using the app, I had no idea I was still on it or had an auto renewal. I’m facing hardship and for the life of me they won’t respond. It’s very disappointing. For $200! I would hope they have support… and help for people who desperately need it. I had no idea I was set to renew or pay this bc it doesn't list in subscriptions under your Apple ID. This is part of the problem with applications, having subscriptions outside of the norm there's no easy way to see all your subscriptions when you're using them on individual apps and paying them outside of the app. ### 1/5 — Super Scammy *2023-12-31, version 3.0.57* The app won’t let you cancel, and every attempt to sign in on a browser in order to cancel bounces you to the app. They renew without any kind of notification. ### 1/5 — Beware! I was not sent anything in the mail notifying that I was going to be charged again. I hated the classes and it was not worth it (which is why I canceled.) Hoping they’ll fix it going forward. THEY LIE AND CHARGE $200 FOR THE ANNUAL PACKAGE ### 1/5 — Price is ridiculous *2023-07-18, version 3.0.57* $200 is too expensive, and we’re going to stop pretending like it isn’t. One time $200 membership is one thing, but for that to be annual is not okay. Still can’t figure out how to get out of this! The teaching is outdated by 20 years. They need more/better pedagogy classes for teachers. I don’t understand why they don’t tap into master teachers and curriculum developers like Anne Green Gilbert of the Creative Dance Center, Dr. Rima Faber, Andrea Trench of DiscoverDance, or Jessica Baudin-Griffin (formerly of Intellidance). Another idea: partner up with NDEO for classes. I’m desperate for new developmentally-appropriate videos for my quarterly certification. ### 1/5 — Trial is a scam *2022-09-15* I signed up for a one week ‘free’ trial and they ended up charging me $200 for a whole year!!!! Not even monthly, the entire year, simply because I didn’t know I had to cancel the free trial. I emailed them to try and resolve this issue and get a refund but they refused. It’s not okay to scam people into trying their service for ‘free’ and then charging them a year membership. I used the service once during the trial and have never used it since. BE CAREFUL they don’t steal your money like they did with me. ### 1/5 — Such a scam !! *2022-05-31, version 3.0.40* Company automatically reenrolls you for hundreds of dollars. Non-refundable crap!! This is such a scam!! Now for two years I have been paying for something no one used. $400 later I cancelled it. No refund for a 10 year dancer!! There is only an email for support and still no response and I’ve since been charged. ### 1/5 — They will not refund *2025-03-25, version 3.0.65* Went past the trial, never opened the app and they charged for a year membership and will not refund and cancel ### 1/5 — So hard to connect to a tv *2024-11-06, version 3.0.60* Other things can chromecast no problem, but anytime I try a class, it’s too small on my phone and I can’t get it to connect to my tv. Customer support wasn’t able to help me, and I wish I could get a refund 😝 Some beginners classes go over like 20 steps before they recap too- hence the 1 star. ### 1/5 — Horrible customer service *2024-04-20* Do not consider this app. We did one class that was mediocre at best. They have the absolute worst customer service and issue zero refunds, including for a death in the family (with proof of death certificate) when app auto renewed. I have never had an issue with ANY app like this. Customer service was unhelpful and insulting. No help after many emails. I don’t want anyone to have an awful experience like mine. It’s a dancing app. It’s suppose to bring joy. What a joke. Do not join the free trial. It upgrades automatically to a full year subscription. You cannot cancel anywhere but a specific spot on the app that is very hard to find (on purpose). Horrible, horrible experience. I would do zero stars if I could. I have emailed them about it and they have blamed it on apple because I had registered on an IOS however, the unauthorised transactions was made by Clistudios. If you want to take the dance classes you must pay $200 right at the start. The 7 day free trial isn’t fake, it isn’t even a trial at all. If you don’t want to do it after the seven days you are still forced to pay to matter what. Not a fan of this business practice. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Amazing *2023-11-11* I’ve been wanting to take tap classes for a while but I don’t like the travel time to the studios where I live. Also it’s pretty pricey and the times are not always convenient for my busy lifestyle. This is perfect for what I need. I can take a class at my own time whenever convenient for me. I can pause and go back if I don’t quite get a move and I can take the same class over and over if I want to perfect a dance. The level of difficulty is what I was looking for. Even the beginner classes are challenging. I’ve been dancing for almost 2 years and needed a way to step it up. The price is unbeatable. And this is more for dancers who are looking into actually pursuing dance rather then just a dance to keep you in shape. These instructors are the real deal like your training for Broadway. Top notch. As a musical theatre performer it’s ideally what I want. I have the trial right now but I am going to keep my subscription. It’s going to better me as a dancer. I love it. ### 5/5 — Excellent Program *2023-08-16* This program integrates classroom and at home learning and makes dance and movement and improvisational movements easily accessible. It utilizes all of most pertinent and applicable of choreographers and instructors and you are able to streamline your technique or enhance your performance style. There are a multitude of choices in every genre and canvassing some of the most unique types of movement from teachers that cross all realms of the dance industry. ### 5/5 — Love! *2023-04-17* Being able to download classes would be an incredibly useful feature to add. I often don’t have access to fast internet for my remote work (my job is one of the reasons I take virtual classes in the first place!) and the ability to save classes to watch offline would be a huge plus. It’s one of the reasons I tried Steezy first. They have that feature. ALSO Tyler Peck is an amazing teacher and I’d absolutely love to see more of her classes.
