I gave Click&Boat one star because of the way our complaint was handled after a very disappointing and stressful boat rental. The boat had multiple serious problems: the kitchen was not working, the fridge was not working, the electricity for charging phones was not working properly, the outside shower was not working, and the boat was not properly clean or even equipped with towels. I was travelling with two children. Because the fridge and kitchen were not working, we could not safely store and prepare food for them. This created a serious food-safety concern, and we were genuinely worried about the children becoming ill from food that could not be properly refrigerated. Because of all these problems, we had to return the boat early, which significantly affected our day and our experience. The owner of the boat should take proper responsibility for the condition of the boat and the problems we experienced. Unfortunately, Click&Boat’s customer support did not provide the level of assistance or protection I would expect from a platform connecting customers with boat owners. The most disappointing part was the lack of proper support after we reported everything. I expected Click&Boat to investigate the situation seriously and make sure the customer was properly protected. Very disappointing experience and very poor customer service. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE APP. NO SUPPORT. CANCELLED BOOKING LAST MINUTE *2026-07-23, version 4.3.2* I’m on my honeymoon and the boat owner said that the app allowed a double booking so she had to cancel my booking at the last minute, day of! She can’t provide me a refund and tells me to contact the app but there is no support. DO NOT BOOK FROM THIS APP! ### 1/5 — Avoid!!!! *2026-07-15, version 4.3.2* Avoid, don't be scammed. Reserved a boat trip, was informed by the skipper that no boat was available, they then tried to charge me €350 to cancel????? Me the renter was being penalised ???? Not the rental company???? Said they would return my money, on holiday now and still no refund. Holiday ruined. Avoid this app. ### 1/5 — Total Scam - Still no refund - DO NOT USE! *2026-07-08, version 4.3.2* I booked a $8,500 5 day charter in Greece and 4 days before the charter was set to sail the owner cancelled. It’s been over 40 days and I have still not received a refund from Click&Boat. It says on their website you are entitled to a full refund if the owner cancels, but still nothing. Also, there is no phone number to contact anyone a Click&Boat. DO NOT USE! ### 1/5 — Unethical money grabbing app *2026-07-07, version 4.3.2* Do not use this service. Click&Boat has built a system where you’re effectively forced to buy extra insurance or risk losing hundreds of dollars if something outside your control happens. My boat owner cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions, yet Click&Boat still kept around $500 USD in service fees despite providing no service whatsoever. To make matters worse, they’ve made it incredibly difficult to contact customer support, with most support channels removed or hidden. I’ve never encountered another marketplace that keeps substantial fees when the service is never delivered. This policy feels unfair, anti-consumer, and designed to protect Click&Boat at the customer’s expense. I will never use this platform again. ### 1/5 — Slow and laggy *2026-05-29, version 4.3.2* Even after the most recent update the app is still glitching and being incredibly slow. So disappointing as it’s otherwise a decent service however they do take 30% commissions ok bookings so it’s rubbish for the boat staff. Sort it out. ### 1/5 — It’s all a scam *2026-05-22, version 4.3.2* 1. Boat owners can cancel reservations with little or no consequence, while renters bear all the risk. Last summer and again this summer, owners canceled shortly before our trips - after flights had already been booked. In one case, the owner even asked us to pay double the original price if we wanted to keep the reservation. 2. The messaging system has become extremely frustrating to use. The app aggressively censors messages because it assumes you're trying to share personal contact information, often scrambling perfectly legitimate communication. As a result, it's now very difficult to communicate effectively with boat owners and coordinate trip details. ### 1/5 — No Recomendet *2025-10-28, version 4.2.0* I definitely don't recommend working with this company this year. On August 19th, we booked and paid for a yacht. The owner canceled the charter without reason and has yet to refund us the €1,800 he promised to do with Click&Boat as an intermediary. From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described in the listing. The boat was easy to find at the dock, and the entire experience was seamless and well organized. We had a party of 10, and every single person in our group thoroughly enjoyed the day and couldn’t stop talking about what an incredible experience it was. Captain Nicola and Raffaella were gracious, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The food they provided was terrific, featuring two delicious types of pasta along with fresh focaccia bread. It was far beyond what we expected and added so much to the overall experience. What impressed us even more was their thoughtfulness and professionalism. Since we needed to return to our cruise ship on time, they went out of their way to drop us closer to the top of the dock to ensure we made it back without any stress. If you’re considering a boat tour of the Cinque Terre, we cannot recommend Captain Nicola and Raffaella highly enough. The scenery was breathtaking, the hospitality was exceptional, and the memories we made with our family and friends will last a lifetime.
