The app does not save your password, so if you use a complex password for security, the “Forgot” password must be used each time to gain access. ### 2/5 — Slow to add any proper updates *2024-05-02, version 1.3.1* What about dark mode in the app instead of being blinded in bed at night? What about killing that annoying Bluetooth pop-up message that is completely irrelevant to anybody without a Bluetooth garden I mentioned this about a year ago. As a QA Engineer your app drives me crazy to the point where I’m willing to work for free and test your app because the user experience is awful. You feel it lets the system down though as underdeveloped. There should be the ability to make notes on each garden, not just individual pods. Surely this couldn’t be that difficult? Crashed multiple times within 20 minutes of setup. Attempted to delete account and repeatedly get a “oops something went wrong” message. Can’t even let you delete your account properly. Too many glitches. Nothing happens when I tap on it b) there’s no way to rearrange the trays in the app, or the pods in a tray Apart from that, it’s a nice app and the regular plant tips are great. ### 3/5 — Still waiting. *2022-09-06, version 1.1.1* Still would like to see the ability to display my gardens (9&6) in landscape mode on my iPad the same way I view my garden’s in the real world. Thanks ### 4/5 — Good, but definitely room for improvement *2022-08-24, version 1.1.0* The app is really nicely presented and seems very stable. Although it is a little basic. Some things I think would be good: - The ability to move the layout of plants without having to delete and re-add them in case you need to rearrange the garden as you harvest and plant new plants. - I heard that there used to be a timelapse feature for plants where you take photos throughout growth. Would definitely love this back as I already take photos to track growth! - On the experimental pods setting. The ability to add in germination time & expected life cycle would be fantastic to get the same green progress ring around the plants in the garden view. Other than that, really love it! I think it’s a great start to a great product! ### 3/5 — Missing plants *2022-08-11, version 1.1.0* I have 3 CG25s from kickstarter, but I can only add the boring plants to each tray, not the peppers and peas and more peppers, strawberry’s or tomatoes, the QR code won’t scan and you can’t search for anything beyond the packs sold with the CG25, please fix :) ### 2/5 — Limited and unhelpful *2022-08-08, version 1.1.0* What I was hoping this app would do: tell me not just about the seedlings but what conditions it would need once I plant it in my garden. But it doesn’t. Just tells me mostly generic or limited info. Make troubleshooting easier-I have never gardened before and this misses an opportunity to help me learn about common problems I might encounter with each plant type. Other frustrations: why have a water icon if it doesn’t tell you when water is needed? Its push notifications don’t get through IOS well so I only got notifications for 1 plant out of 8. ### 1/5 — Product is pretty good, app is *still* absolute trash *2022-05-22, version 1.0.2* This company needs to redesign its app from the ground up or at least fire its designer and hire someone else. I have Four Smart Garden 9's and the amount of work it takes to clear out existing plants and input new ones is ridiculous. You have to individually rate every plant. But the app is simply lacking for the amount of money paid for the product. Much to be desired. The data on plants is not correct - the barcode does not link to the plants in the box. The timer for the lights has not been working properly and I can only connect to the device when I am in the room with it? With all of the inexpensive devises I can connect to over WiFi - I was hoping this would be one of them. When I am away or on vacation- I won’t know if the light timer is working or if the water level is low. We use our garden as a normal 9 and not like a 9 Pro. ### 1/5 — Not all Plants Can Be Added to Tray *2025-07-21, version 1.4.2* The app is frustrating because it can’t recognize all of the different kinds of plant pods. I went to add the plants I planted in the “add plant to tray” section, and some can be added and others cannot. The catalogue function lists all of their products, but when you go to add it to the tray I only had a smaller list of 23 plants to choose from. I planted 5 pods, 3 were plants on the list and 2, purchased directly from Click and Grow, were just not listed. The “Scan QR” function also didn’t work saying that the pod was “not recognized”. But it was a plant and pod purchased from their own catalog. Very sloppy and shoddy app design. The company at Click and Grow needs to fire their app designer ### 1/5 — Can not authorize *2025-02-23, version 1.4.1* my credentials do mot work anymore and when I tap reset password it gives me error message. I don’t want to create another account 😞 ### 1/5 — Hire Someone *2025-01-25, version 1.3.1* Just hire someone to develop the app for you. It’s not rocket science. Your product is not inexpensive so I’m pretty sure you can afford it. It’s pretty ridiculous that you can’t just clear the plants out without constantly getting an error. I can delete one by one if I go all the way into the plant itself but after I delete a few, I start getting the same error. ### 1/5 — Annoying promotional notifications *2024-05-01, version 1.3.1* I hate that there’s no way to turn off promotional notifications. I don’t need to know about discounted accessories etc. I appreciate the useful notifications that pertain to my garden but because the app forces you to take the bad with the good, I’m awarding a one star review. ### 1/5 — No point *2023-04-06, version 1.1.2* Can name the plants and click ‘finish growing’ but thats it. No light control (what the box says you can do via the app), no humidity/ temperature tracking nothing at all that would explain the bluetooth requirement. You can name your plants and it gives you AWESOME facts! Now you cannot check the humidity or control the light with Bluetooth BUT I would 100% recommend buying the Click&Grow pro 9 and downloading the app! There might be some negative reviews but this is amazing!! Definitely worth it! Helped me keep track when I got it and how old they are! I Grew strawberries, mini tomatoes and LOTS more! This is fun! It has a lot of cool functions like letting you know the age of your plants, on top of in-depth descriptions of the plants scientific information. I was surprised to see such a low rating, but it makes sense with only 2 reviews before this one. From the moment I opened it, the packaging (yes it does matter) is the most thoughtful I have ever seen and truly elevates the experience. The app, a bit glitchy and weird to navigate but once I figured it out amazing… very helpful to be able to edit the date planted… such a sweet surprise to see my plant babies named… truly a special purchase that absolutely will have as more mental health benefits than the initial dopamine purchasing 😉.
