### 4/5 — Love the program! Yet there is just one thing I would want to see…

*2026-07-24*

When practicing subdivisions, It is sometimes difficult to differentiate the subdivisions beats over the normal metronome. I would like to see an option to make the subdivisions louder than the normal metronome. This would be extremely helpful for more difficult rhythms.

### 4/5 — Seems great so far

*2026-03-31, version 4.5*

Initially I struggled a bit with the interface and gave up. I’ve now made some effort and, although I don’t find it intuitive, it’s not that difficult. I’m planning to use it for a band set - the only prob I now have is I wish the watch app could be used as the metronome for the setlist, with song title displayed, to enable phone free use on stage. I’m sure that will come - but for a free app, I love it.

### 4/5 — Suggestion

*2026-02-15, version 4.5*

This is by far the best click app, but to really take it to next level in a simple way.....Please add the ability to copy and paste song information. And even full lists.

How the current system works seems so behind the curve. If you want multiple set lists that share songs you have to create everything from scratch every time. Having a copy and paste function seems like the most logical improvement.

### 2/5 — Low volume , Slippery Controls

*2026-02-04*

As convenient as this looks, and don’t get me wrong. It’s not that, however, there’s plenty of other metronomes that are a lot louder than this. This is very low volume, so it’s almost useless if I’m practicing an acoustic percussion instrument and even with headphones this thing is too low. The controls are what I would call slippery you touch it and move away from me to changes its parameters. It’s hard to change your BPM and unless I tap minus or plus to get it exact same place it’s difficult to maintain it if this has a minor changes to it and was significantly louder it would be great but for now I’ll use my other metronomes. This is too frustrating.

### 5/5 — Best metronome app I’ve ever used

*2025-12-03, version 4.5*

Needed something reliable for a gig recently. Found lots of people praise this app in Reddit. Love using it to practice and find Bim’s to certain songs.

### 5/5 — 공연에 매우 유용

*2025-11-27*

곡템포를 제목지어서 저장해놓고 순서도 맘대로 바꿀수있어서 매우 편리합니다

### 5/5 — Intelligently designed

*2025-11-22, version 4.5*

At first glance it may appear gimmicky but a closer look reveals a novel but well thought out interface that’s easy to learn and to use. I checked out a bunch but this is the one I’m keeping.

### 5/5 — Simple, Clean, Functional

*2025-11-06*

I was looking for an app to support meditation and rep awareness during stretching and certain exercises. This app maybe isn’t known for how I use it, but after trying it, I found it to be exactly what I needed. It’s simple, clean, and offers optional settings—including four sound effects—to suit personal preferences. Easily tapping the screen anywhere pauses sound and function when desired. It also runs in the background, which is a big plus at times. I’ve tried other metronome apps that don’t, and it can be inconvenient.

The interface is minimal and not only ad-free, which makes for a smooth experience, it’s also free-free. Making this app check all the boxes for me.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2025-11-04, version 4.5*

It is as visual as it is audible. It uses everything my senses need. This syncs best with me visually to stay in perfect time, other apps displays do not sync with me for timing. This one is the best by far!

### 5/5 — Why free?

*2025-10-11, version 4.5*

Only 2.6 MB and it works perfect. It lags a little bit using on an iPhone 13.

I hope it works with the 17 that I’m thinking about buying here pretty soon.

I would have gladly paid $10 a year for this thank you sir or ma’am for having such a low foot print and such a great app.

### 5/5 — 이번 아이패드 업데이트후에 전체화면으로 안뜹니다~

*2025-09-18*

빠른시일내에 업데이트 되면 너무 감사!

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2025-08-30, version 4.5*

Learning guitar, perfect for learning to keep time.

### 4/5 — good, but I wish it had other features.

*2025-08-20, version 4.5*

The UI is great and it is a good simple metronome, but I wish it had the option to make the click sound a hi-hat, and maybe a simple drum machine to make it a bit more customizable. Other than that, I really like it

### 5/5 — Great (and unique) app!

*2025-08-18, version 4.5*

I use it for piano practising — the “Set List” is the classical piano piece that needs attention, and the “Song List” are the various pre-decided tempos.
Nice tone, and a user-friendly layout.

### 5/5 — Best metronome app

*2025-07-17, version 4.5*

Agree with other reviewers, this is best metronome app. Including the other paid for versions. I particularly like the big numbers that make it easy to use ear and eye to monitor timing.

The developer is great too. Responded to a minor bug report (slight audio/visual timing drift) and updated the app - now works perfectly.

I strong recommend trying this out!

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work on iPad

*2025-07-05*

I want to love this app. I’ve seen many drummers and friends using it on their laptops and it looks great. I downloaded it for my iPad and have been unable to use it. The interface is mostly obscured by a large black frame. Only a narrow bit of the UI is visible in the center of the screen. Settings or any buttons are inaccessible. Tried a number of things to get access to the full screen, but ultimately had to uninstall it.

### 5/5 — Perfect for musician

*2025-06-24, version 4.4*

I love this metronome. It is exactly what I was looking for.

### 4/5 — Periodically freezes and needs redownloading

*2025-06-20, version 4.4*

I really like this app; use it daily. However, every two months maybe, I pull it up and it’s frozen. I have to delete the app then download again.

### 5/5 — Best metronome ever!

*2025-05-17*

This is a simple but powerful metronome with a super clean interface that counts it out with numbers. I love this thing. All the basic adjustments that you need and did I mention that it counted out with numbers? Why don't more metronomes do this? So much fluffery and unnecessary garbage on most other metronomes. This is a great app!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Broken on current version of iOS

*2026-05-17, version 4.5*

Settings down the bottom cannot be opened

### 1/5 — Good idea but….

*2023-09-14, version 4.4*

This app is a nice simple metronome that just doesn’t work well on Apple Watch. It’s fine to get a tempo, but when you stop it and then try and start again it freezes up and reverts to the watch face.
Not very useful for rehearsals.
There is also no support and no way to reach the developer.
It’s easy to install and doesn’t require a purchase but what’s the point if it doesn’t work?

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on Apple Watch

*2023-02-17, version 4.4*

Only makes sounds while watch is active. Also, doesn’t play on headphones.

### 1/5 — Apple Watch = Nope

*2022-10-16, version 4.4*

Why is this even advertised for the watch? Doesn’t work at all.

### 1/5 — Only a metronome when you’re looking at it

*2022-09-25, version 4.4*

Plays a click through the watch - at a reasonable volume (but not adjustable volume) - seemingly the only watch app that fulfils the basic function of a metronome. Until you look away and the screen goes off - then the metronome also turns off. Useless.

### 1/5 — Waist of time

*2022-05-22, version 4.4*

This was a great app until I spent the time to program every tune our band covered. I took my iPad to a gig, opened the app to find the ability to create set lists gone. Every tune which took me a couple hours to program….. Gone. All it displays now is the spinning wheel and the metronome animation. I managed to program two tunes on the fly while the guitarists re-tuned.
I did a screen recording but know way of contacting the app’s support short of joining Vimeo.

### 1/5 — As soon as you turn your wrist, it stops working.

*2021-12-07, version 4.4*

Got it for my watch. Useless

### 1/5 — No longer stays on

*2021-07-15, version 4.4*

Not sure if there was an iOS update, but the app never stays on anymore when I use my watch. Every time I turn my wrist the metronome stops.

### 1/5 — Apple Watch app doesn’t work

*2021-04-24, version 4.4*

When the watch go back to standby it just stop working. Or else it would be a 4 star app

### 1/5 — 애플워치 se

*2021-01-14*

aod 기능이 없는 se는 사용이안됩니다
손을 내리면 꺼져버리네요
기술적 지원이 불가능한건가요?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for gigs

*2026-06-15, version 4.5*

Just needs a way to import an excel sheet to quickly create a playlist.

### 5/5 — Devs deserve a pay rise

*2026-06-07, version 4.5*

This app is soooooo useful tysm for making this app it is soooo much better that google website metronome

### 5/5 — Ease for travel

*2026-05-13, version 4.5*

I’m learning the accordion and Click metronome is just the easiest app to use.

I’m on the road nine months of the year and carrying gear is sometimes difficult. Click metronome. Makes it so easy to practice and improve my musicianship. What a great team. Thanks.

### 5/5 — This is awesome!

*2026-05-08, version 4.5*

Only wish there was a voice option, not only clicks etc that counts for all subdivisions, that would be great!

### 5/5 — The best bar none!

*2026-03-04, version 4.5*

I’ve tried loads of metronomes and this is by far the best! Superb UI, highly configurable yet easy to use, really useful set/song list capability (I start a couple of songs in our current set) and NO ADS!! Absolutely awesome!!

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for

*2026-02-06, version 4.5*

I typed into Chat GBT that I was looking for a metronome app that had great visual effects and counters. I am a new drummer and need the visuals plus all the help I can get and this app is awesome! So easy to use and very creative UI, nice job!

### 5/5 — App is perfect

*2026-01-12, version 4.5*

I just wish it had a timer and every sixteenth-note variation.

But it’s free (without ads!) and otherwise perfect. So no complaints.

### 5/5 — Looked at a lot and this is the best

*2026-01-11*

Has everything you could want in a metronome and is very nicely laid out. If there is a quibble, that would be that it occasionally freezes up when returning to it. But that is easily solved quickly by restarting the app. It’s not worth subtracting a star, but half stars are not an option.

### 5/5 — Best app ever!

*2025-12-10, version 4.5*

Perfect!!!

### 5/5 — App is perfect

*2025-12-07, version 4.5*

I just wish it had a timer.
