## What is Clink?

Clink is a custom keyboard for iPhone and iPad. Choose how it looks, arrange the keys, change the sounds and keep useful tools close to where you type. Start with a preset you like, or make a keyboard of your own.

Choose a simple theme, metal keys, raised 3D keycaps or translucent Liquid Glass. Change colours, fonts, gradients, outlines and key shapes. Set separate themes for Light and Dark Mode. The live preview lets you type while you make changes.

Add a photo background or put artwork on individual keys, with framing controls to get the placement right. Canvas mode lets you edit each key. Export your theme to share it, or import one someone else has made.

Choose QWERTY, AZERTY, QWERTZ, Dvorak or a layout for your language. Try Clink Flow for two thumbs. Add a number row, use a split keyboard or switch to one-handed mode. Adjust height, width and spacing, and add custom keys and rows for text or functions.

Tap or swipe to type. Two-thumb word composition lets either hand continue the same word, combining taps and glides. Keep a simple swipe trail or choose one with colour, sparks or a comet tail.

Autocomplete, autocorrect and swipe decoding work on your device, without an internet connection. Clink can learn your words and the corrections you reject; learning can be switched off or reset. Text replacements, smart punctuation and automatic capitals help with everyday typing.

Use combined suggestions for multiple languages or keep them separate. Clink includes Japanese kana, Chinese Pinyin and Korean input, with language packs available to download. Features depend on the language and installed resources.

Slide on the spacebar to move the cursor, or use trackpad mode for more control. Adjust sensitivity and activation timing to suit your hands. Predictive flick lets you accept suggestions directly from the keys.

Clipboard history keeps saved clips in groups. The notepad holds text you want to use again, and the calculator handles quick sums and conversions. Find emoji with search, recent choices and skin tones. Arrange the panels around what you use.

Use dictation when you would rather speak, handwriting to write with your finger, or translation to prepare text in another language. Supported translation works offline after its resources are downloaded. Dictation may use Apple's speech services.

On compatible devices, writing tools use Apple's on-device models to proofread, rewrite, shorten, expand or summarise text. Change the tone or prepare a reply, then review it before use. Apple Intelligence support and downloaded models are required.

Choose a system click or sound pack, set the volume and tune the haptics. Adjust how keys move and respond. Add lighting, stickers or a small pet that reacts as you type.

Save setups as profiles and switch between them from the keyboard. Optional iCloud sync carries profiles and custom themes between devices. Text clipboard history and learned vocabulary sync are separate choices, both off by default.

Build custom actions for repeated tasks or write a panel using the built-in Python subset. Add compatible theme, layout, font and sound packs to extend your setup.

No Clink account, ads or cross-app tracking. Ordinary typing does not send your text to a server. Core typing works without Full Access; clipboard access, haptics, custom sounds and shared settings use that permission. Downloads, purchases, iCloud and some speech features need a connection.

Requires iOS 17 or later. Liquid Glass, translation and Apple Intelligence features depend on your iOS version, device, language and available resources. Setup walks you through adding Clink in iOS Settings. Switch to it with the globe key wherever custom keyboards are supported.

### 4/5 — my favorite keyboard

*2026-09-05*

One thing I’d like to see added is an integrated image/gif tool for quick meme responses
Potential tweak for the Apple Intelligence integration it sometimes puts a word from ai over an auto correct suggestion that I’d prefer to use. Maybe I little flick over the Apple suggestion to show the previous auto suggestion would be a sweet fix

### 5/5 — great! but…

*2026-09-05*

So i really like this app. SO MUCH CUSTOMIZATION! and its mostly free too. what i dont like, is that a lot of the themes dont work. I tried to switch to a different theme many times, but the only ones that worked were liquid glass and snow/graphite

EDIT: dev fixed it, thank you so much!! definitely 5 star!

**Developer response:** This was my fault! When I transitioned to download able themes, I didn’t account for free users not being able to download them. There is an update pending right now that should give free users access to all of the preset themes!

### 5/5 — I love this app my thoughts and ideas to make this app even better (requests) and there is a bug🐜

*2026-09-01*

the problem (bug) is the background keyboard animation and swipe to type animation does not show for that long please fix it

And also Can you please add a ton of more customization options and add a ton of more animations and effects in the upcoming updates that is

1 can you please add an option to curve the keyboard in 2 different ways if you can

2 add more animation options for example when you tap a key on the keyboard the keyboard shakes (jitters) and you can set it to the letter to and

3 add an option for when you tap a key on the keyboard it changes the shape and changes a color for that key on the keyboard

4 add an option to set different colors to fade though the different colors on the keyboard I just set it to that you can set it to the letters and keys and the keyboard background

5 add more effects to the keyboard that you can tweak it (customize it) for example when you type it shows a fireworks or sparkle or fog or glitter

6 please add an option to change each individual keys on the keyboard to different colors and different animation options and different effects and different sounds and even different haptic vibrations for example the top row of keys is red the middle row of keys is green and the bottom row of keys is blue and when you tap it if has a different animation effect and different sounds and different haptic vibrations for each individual keys on the keyboard

7 add more AI features

8 ads options to outline the keyboard

9 add a ton of more animations effects that is when you tap a key on the keyboard it flips over a key and add an animation that is you you tap a key on the keyboard it rotates the key on the keyboard that has an option to adjust the speed and

And please respond to my letter ASAP.

### 4/5 — This could be the GOAT 🐐

*2026-08-31*

This has the potential to be one of the best Keybaord

still early and very laggy
but potential is there

### 5/5 — Best keyboard on iOS hands down!

*2026-08-30*

Easily one of the best third-party keyboards on iOS. Clink brings an insane amount of features, customization, and flexibility that I honestly haven’t seen done this well on iOS before.

It feels like they’ve taken the limitations of the default iOS keyboard and completely opened them up. So many thoughtful features and options, while still keeping the keyboard practical and easy to use.

If you’re looking for a third-party iOS keyboard, Clink is absolutely worth trying.

### 4/5 — Great keyboard but..

*2026-08-30*

This a great keyboard. Simple to use. Lots of customization for iPhone but the predictive text is terrible.

### 5/5 — Great keyboard

*2026-08-26*

Extremely customizable and has a clipboard. What more could you ask for?

**Developer response:** Thank you

### 5/5 — Melhor teclado disparadamente para Iphone

*2026-08-26*

O melhor que já baixei

### 4/5 — Precisa melhorar o swipe

*2026-08-25*
