## What is CLIP?

That highlight? Already recorded.

CLIP-IT! is always recording. You just decide what to keep. No start and stop button, no hours of footage: after the best point, one tap, and the last 30 to 60 seconds land as a clip in your library.

Made for padel. Put your phone behind the glass, play your match, and go home with only the highlights.

HOW IT WORKS
• The camera films into a continuous buffer, like a dashcam
• Tap the button, wave at the camera, or use your Apple Watch: highlight saved
• Labels set the clip length: rally, smash, funny moment

ALWAYS ON, ALL MATCH
• Dim the screen to save battery while recording keeps running
• Smart thermal management protects your quality when the phone runs hot
• 4K 60 fps and HDR on supported devices

EDIT IN SECONDS
• Trim with your finger, see it live
• Zoom, slow-motion, horizon straighten and highlight splice
• Reframe to 9:16 for Reels and Stories

MULTI-CAM LIKE A BROADCAST
• Link up to 3 more iPhones, each with its own angle
• Clips arrive in sync on the main phone
• Switch cameras, add replays, render one video

Download CLIP-IT! and never miss a point again.

### 1/5 — Import into Clip-it

*2026-08-19*

Yes we would like to request a function that enables us to import video from my device into the app since im using DJI Action 6. I have stoped using my phones camera even the native cam at Clip-it since my phone gets too hot and is force shutting down.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your response.

1. Import function: I have other users who requested it. I will definitely look into it for a future release.
2. iPhone overheating: The update to 1.3 and 1.4 should have resolved that. Please update the app and try again.
In 1.2, this was an issue on iPhones with 3 cameras. All 3 cameras were 'live' at the same time, causing significant heat. For reference: my iPhone 13 Pro could not record 720p60fps without overheating. After the update, it can record 4k30fps or 1080p60fps without overheating at all.

If it still persists, please contact me so I can learn about your usage conditions (outdoors, sun, high ambient temperature)
3. Would you be willing to get in contact with me so I can further learn from your usage? I would greatly appreciate it.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-08-19

Saving with a wave got a lot smarter, and there's a new quick-start tutorial.

NEW
• New quick-start tutorial: film first, learn the rest when you need it
• Wave to save: recognizes your hand even pressed right against the lens, with an audio confirmation when the flash can't blink
• Multi-cam pairing reworked: the main phone picks a nearby iPhone, the other side just confirms
• Highlight editor: live playhead and looping inside your marked window
• Swipe down on any video to drop back into the gallery

BUILT FOR HOT DAYS
• Keeps recording alive longer in extreme heat
• Flash Guard and an audio fallback keep the save confirmation working when iOS takes the flash away

POLISH
• The 0.5x lens is now the default view
• Sharper live watermark on HDR screens
• Leaner capture formats for longer battery life

### 1.3 — 2026-08-03

Your phone stays cool now. I rebuilt the camera engine to film in the most power-efficient mode your iPhone offers, and the hand gesture and flash no longer switch itself off when the phone runs warm. The hand gesture now also works a lot better when your hand is really close to the camera. Even on Close setting.

More on heat:
• Sessions that used to overheat in minutes can now run through a full match.
• The flash gives a quick blip the moment your raised hand is spotted, so you know the hand detection has started.

Also new:
• The clips gallery moved to square thumbnails, iOS Photos style, in preparation for the 2.0 Portrait mode release.
• New capture pill in the viewfinder: change resolution, frame rate, and HDR without leaving the camera.
• Live/smooth lens switching is gone for performance reasons. Switching lenses briefly blurs while the recording buffer refills.
• The dimmed recording screen got a facelift with a clear REC indicator.
• Spectator mode allows the screen to flash white, so you can remote control record your friends games.

Fixes:
• Multi-cam: Reframing a composed video no longer drifts at camera switches.
• Editor top buttons are more responsive.
• The full-screen watermark stays crisp on HDR clips.
• Cancelling an export stops it immediately.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-23

Faster and steadier
Serious performance work under the hood: smoother playback, quicker thumbnails, and fixes for the hangs some of you hit returning to the app with a clip open. The camera now recovers on its own if it stalls after an export, and the gallery loads instantly, even on a cold start.

A scrubber that keeps up
Scrubbing is rebuilt. Frames track your finger crisply when you move slowly and stay fluid when you flick, in both directions, at 4K as well as HD.

New editing tools
Punch in with hold-to-zoom, aim it with your finger, and let it glide back. Straighten a tilted court with a level guide, or let Auto suggest the angle for you.

Slow motion, reworked
Smooth ramps in and out instead of hard jumps, with pitched audio that follows the speed. Exports now sound and look the way the editor previews them.

A new way to watch your angles
Tap any angle to bring it full screen while the others shrink to live minis on the side. Sound follows whichever angle you are watching.

Exports that stay out of your way
Renders run in the background while you keep recording, with a draggable progress pill to track the queue. Recording always takes priority.

Search your clips
Find any highlight by title or label, straight from the gallery.

Turn your angles into one video
Cut between cameras like a broadcast, add replays before, during or after the point, then Finish to render it into a single video you can trim, zoom and slow-mo like any other clip. Edit Cut takes you back any time, and your cut is saved as you go.

Save straight to Videos
A dedicated button sends a clip to your camera roll from the share sheet, no detours.

HDR for everyone
HDR recording is no longer a Pro feature.

Also

Film with up to four phones
Choose to send clips to the main phone during or after the match
Screen-off recording to save battery through a long match
Name and label your highlights, with titles carried into exports
Reworked tutorials for single and multi-angle editing

### 1.1 — 2026-06-30

OmniCut is now CLIP-IT! — same app, sharper name — and this update brings a big leap in (multi-angle) editing.

• Easier connections between devices. Simply press "Add Cam" and your friend will immediately see a message to join as an extra camera!
• Rebuilt multi-angle editor. Trim all your angles together on a shared filmstrip timeline, switch between cameras, add slow-motion replays, and reframe to vertical or square — then save or share straight from your phone.
• Edit on the sequence bar. Delete or swap a camera angle — or a replay — right where you see it, with undo and redo if you change your mind.
• Redesigned connection screen. At-a-glance status pills for every linked camera and a cleaner, clearer flow for joining as an extra angle.
• Reframe improvements. 1:1 and 9:16 crops with a pannable frame that follows the action, plus live export progress.
• Tighter sync & stability. Smoother trimming with better multi-camera alignment, and a range of fixes throughout.

Thanks for using CLIP-IT! Have feedback or a feature request? We'd love to hear it.
