Clip Keyboard - Quick Phrases

Open the app and the keyboard is right there, the way it looks everywhere else. New here? You'll make one snippet yourself and use it, step by step. **The first screen** • **The keyboard, as it really looks**: see it the way it appears in other apps, and tap to try it right away. • **Tap to type, hold to copy**: inside the app, a short tap types the snippet and a long press puts it on the clipboard. • **Your list is still here**: pick your first screen in Settings › First screen, and switch anytime from the toolbar. • **Category tabs and swipe paging** are there from the start. **The Shortcut Mart: don't start from a blank page** • **Take one off the shelf**, `+` › Shortcut Mart has ready-made situations: sharing your account number, asking for a settlement, an out-of-office reply, and more. • **Matches you first**: we show what fits the type you picked (Work, Student, Nomad, Everyday), and you can switch to All to browse everything. • **Only your own bits**, tap "Use this" and you'll only see the blanks. Fill in the things that never change, like your name and account number. • **Leave the rest blank**: amounts and dates that change every time stay as fill-in fields, so you complete them as you use it. • **We remember what you typed**: next time the same blank comes up, one tap fills it. **Importing a batch? See it before you save** • **Shown as your keyboard**, bring in several at once and you'll see exactly how your keyboard will look once saved. • **Tap a key to leave it out**, excluded items show as empty slots, so what's going in and what isn't reads at a glance. • **You can see which ones are combos**, a key holding several values gets an orange number showing how many steps it has. • **Check them off to bundle a combo**, tap "Bundle", pick the values you use together, and they become a single key. They don't have to be next to each other, and you don't have to reorder anything first. If any part was locked, the bundled key stays locked. • Switch to the list view when you want to edit titles or locks. **Share from Safari and it's already a shortcut** • **Share › ClipKeyboard › Save. Done.**, select text in Safari or Notes, share it, and it becomes a shortcut. No second step inside the app. • It used to land in your inbox, waiting for you to open the app and turn it into a shortcut. Now **Shortcut is the default**, and "Inbox" is there when you'd rather decide later. • Emails, URLs and the like get categorized for you. • **It's in both parts of the share sheet**, the app row lets you edit the title and pick where it goes; **"Save as Shortcut"** in the action list below saves it in one tap, no screen at all. **Copy from Control Center and widgets without opening the app** • **A "Copy Value" button in Control Center**: add it while editing Control Center, then long-press to choose which value it copies. One tap copies it on the spot. • **Widgets copy on tap too**: they used to open the app first, which meant leaving whatever you were doing just to paste an account number. Not anymore. • **You'll know it worked**: the widget briefly reads "Copied" and then goes back. • You can choose from your **favorites**. Locked snippets never appear here. **Stop copying things out by eye, use a photo** • **Scan text**: while making a snippet, pick a photo or take one, and we'll read the text out of it and put it in the value. • **Pick only the line you need**, we don't dump everything in. The lines appear in the order they show up in the photo; only the one you tap becomes the value. • **Cards and addresses are sorted out for you**, we find the card number and expiry date, and join an address split across two lines. If we got it wrong, pick from the original lines below. • When several lines belong to one value, **+** appends them.
