My biggest issue is the iOS keyboard experience. After copying text in another app, the new clipboard item often doesn’t appear in the PastePal keyboard unless I first open the main PastePal app or enable the Picture-in-Picture background monitor. Other clipboard apps can capture the current clipboard as soon as their keyboard is opened, without requiring this extra step. I’d love to see PastePal improve this workflow. It would make the iOS experience much more seamless. ### 2/5 — Almost There, But Sync Is a Dealbreaker *2026-06-05* I really wanted to love this app but the sync is just terrible. At first I thought it was a work firewall issue, but even at home it doesn't sync reliably. Background sync is not only unreliable but also very slow, and the only consistent fix is to open the settings on both Mac and iOS and manually trigger a sync. I've lost clipboard items because I assumed PastePal was syncing in the background when it wasn't. There are also situations where PastePal doesn't save the clipboard at all unless I open it to kickstart it -- and this is with the app already running. It's a decent app with fantastic features, but unreliable, slow sync and losing clipboard items is a dealbreaker. Going back to Paste until this gets a few more updates. ### 3/5 — Needs ability to pin clips *2026-05-15, version 2.20.3* It works well enough and is slick and ‘Mac like’. Really like the Hot Edge function. One of the main things is that the fonts in the notes are way too small and I can’t work out how to make them bigger. I can’t seem to get my Mac and Iphone to sync. Lots of things really. I have the premium edition. At the moment, it just looks like a series of nots in a sidebar. However, when browsing in the Link or any other category, the video thumbnails are quite large. I would suggest adding an option to reduce their size by half, which would create more space and result in a more compact layout. ### 3/5 — Ok but sorely missing an important basic function *2026-03-13, version 2.14.9* Bought it because there are a few good reviews about this app. There’s zero opportunity to test the app before purchase. No trial period, nothing, and you’re not even given the basic functionality for testing - you have to buy it first. I guess that makes it very much harder if not impossible to get a refund from the app store, since the app store would assume you have tested it before paying as iap. Well, it turned out the app is rough around the edges. For starters you can’t even select multiple entries for deletion. Hello, that’s the most basic function. You have to delete the entries one by one. Imagine if you have tons of clips. It’s a deal breaker. I’m out of $20 for this app that I don’t think I’d be fond of using. ### 5/5 — Add more *2026-03-12, version 2.19.6* Please add more colors and icons to the collection. When you make the collection. Looking at the app description the ‘in-app purchases’ description is misleading because you can’t do anything with the app unless you buy the “pro” version. Like, literally you can’t even try it once. So it is misleadingly described because it should really say you have to pay £15 to start using it rather than implying there is some standard free features which there is not. Very sad really because I was happy to actually try this app and then pay for it. Extremely shortsighted revenue management on the part of the developer. ### 1/5 — Unreliable for Images *2026-02-15, version 2.19.6* Has been unreliable for saving images. I now depend on Yoink’s embedded clipboard widget for locked and loaded image retention. Neither the website of the developer nor his GitHub repository is of any use. All the others became unusable because of the massive amount of notes and clipboard items I've inserted into the other guys manager after it stopped opening correctly. So far I've not seen this one went out on me and I love the fact that I can export my clippings to a txt file. No complaints. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2026-03-29, version 2.19.6* I am updating my review of last year: I have been using it alongside Paste and IMO PastePal continues to be the best clipboard manage out there. It does everything Paste does and more and does three things better: 1. Customer support. Non-existent for Paste, excellent for PastePal. 2. Queue. Abysmal on Paste, excellent on PastePal, with 10 different windows and leaves the item on when copied, unlike Paste. 3. Syncs with devices much better and updates the virtual keyboards instantly. Last year’s review: Great app. Very versatile and customisable. I've always had good, prompt support from them as well. The new text-in-images feature works very well and is easy to use. It syncs well with all my devices and has a very useful keyboard feature in iOS apps.
