## What is Clippar?

Clippar films your round of golf and cuts it into a highlight reel. No editing.

Clip your phone to your bag or buggy and tap a small Bluetooth clicker before and after each shot, or use the button on screen. Clippar finds the swing in each recording, trims away the walk-up and the waiting, and puts the round together hole by hole, on your phone.

HOW IT WORKS
• Mount your phone on your bag or buggy.
• Tap the clicker before and after each shot. The phone stays where it is.
• Clippar finds the swing and cuts to the shot. If it can't find one, it says so and leaves that shot for you to trim.
• Pick a scorecard, then share the whole round or just a few holes.

SEE IT BEFORE YOU PLAY
There is already a round in the app when you sign in: three real holes, filmed on course, cut and traced. A short guided walkthrough shows you the reel, the editor and export before you record anything of your own.

SHOT TRACER
On full swings, Clippar looks for your ball in the footage. Where it can follow it, it draws an estimated line of the ball's flight onto the video, and before it draws it checks that what it's following really is a ball. Some shots it can't follow, such as a ball lost against the sky or hit into a low sun, and those are left as filmed. You can draw the line yourself in a few taps, then set its direction and shape.

AT THE RANGE
Film a practice session by club, trim every shot to the same length in one go, and play the whole session back as one reel.

YOUR LIBRARY
Home keeps your rounds, practice sessions and single shots side by side. Filter shots by result, course, hole or club, and use Play all to watch them back to back. Import videos from Photos, or record more shots into a round you've already finished.

YOUR SCORE ON THE REEL
Five scorecard designs, or none at all. Share or save just a few holes and Clippar asks whether to add the card, which then shows only those holes.

WHAT ELSE
• Trim any shot, reorder them, drop the ones you'd rather forget.
• Each shot you record is also saved to a Clippar album in Photos, so your golf survives deleting the app. You can switch this off.
• Leave the app mid-export and it pauses, then picks up where it left off.

TRY IT FREE
Clippar is free to download. The first time you record, you can start a 14-day free trial of Clippar Pro. After the trial, recording or importing a round or a practice session needs Clippar Pro, which also includes:
• Unlimited highlight reels and exports.
• The automatic shot tracer.
• Cloud backup, when you switch it on: your clips upload in the background, and your library restores on a reinstall or a new phone.

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-03

Your whole library, in the cloud. Cloud backup now copies everything — every video, trim, shot tracer and practice session — and a new phone can bring it all back from Storage & Backup. Backup is now a switch you choose to turn on. If it was already backing you up, it stays on.

Rounds, Practice and Shots. Home now keeps your rounds, your range sessions and your single shots apart. Filter your shots by result, course, hole or round and play them back one after another, import single shots from Photos, or reopen a finished round and record more.

No signal, no problem. Start a round with no reception and keep playing — it catches up when you are back online.

A sharper shot tracer. It is better at finding your ball as it leaves the ground, so lines start at the ball rather than at your feet, and it traces up to three shots at once when your phone has the room, so a round is ready sooner. A shot the trimmer could not find a swing in is no longer traced: trim it yourself and it can be.

No scorecard. Choose "No scorecard" for a reel of just your shots and tracers.

Steadier exports. An export keeps the screen awake, pauses if you leave the app and picks up where it stopped when you come back. Exporting again after a small change only rebuilds the holes you changed.

New to Clippar? The sample round now walks you through step by step, and picks up where you left off.

Simpler sign-up: confirm your email with one tap on the link we send.

Plus a long list of fixes.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-22

There is now a round waiting in the app when you open it: three real holes, filmed on course, already cut and traced, with sound. Play the reel, open the editor, change a cut — before you record anything of your own. A short walkthrough points out each part.

Draw it yourself. When the tracer cannot follow a ball — into a low sun, or away from the camera — you can draw the arc by hand, and it flies on the same physics the automatic one uses.

At the range: the trimmer now sits under the reel while it plays, trimming every shot to one length asks before it replaces your edits, and you can share the session from the top of the screen.

Trimming and tracing run together instead of one after the other, so a round is ready sooner.

Cloud backup now picks up the rounds you already had, not only the ones you record next — and every round tells you whether it is safely in the cloud.

Plus verified sign-up, steadier Google and Apple sign-in, and a long list of fixes across the editor and the paywall.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-08

Shot tracer. Clippar now draws the flight of your ball on full swings — automatically, on every round, free.

Five scorecard designs for your reel, including a new minimal look that puts your score straight over the footage with no card at all.

Your scorecard no longer gives the round away: it counts up as you play, and each hole's score appears only once the putt drops.

Practice mode: film at the range by club, and play a session back as one continuous reel.

A rebuilt first run, a faster editor, and clips mirrored to your photo library so your golf survives deleting the app.
