## What is Clock?

Clock-Out Timer keeps one number in front of you: how much of today is left.

Working late usually isn't a willpower problem. It's a time-awareness problem. When the time remaining is simply there, in view, deciding to stop gets a lot easier.

■ Visible without opening it At your start time, the time left and a progress bar appear on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. There are widgets, Lock Screen widgets, Apple Watch complications and a StandBy desk clock too. You never have to open the app.

■ It changes colour as you get close Under an hour to go, it turns orange. At your end time, it says so. Past it, it turns red and counts your overtime, so you always know how far over you are.

■ End your day with one tap "Done for Today" stops today's notifications and the countdown. Marking the end is often what makes the end happen. Staying a bit longer? Extend by 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Stepping away? Start a break. All of it works from the Lock Screen.

■ Build a streak of finishing on time Days you leave on time are recorded automatically and counted as a streak, with days off skipped. It's one more reason to call it a day.

■ Notifications, at your volume Choose Off, Minimal, Standard or Custom. Beyond start and end reminders, you can set your own checkpoints through the day and a countdown before you finish.

■ Quiet on your days off Pick which weekdays you're off and the app stays silent — no notifications, no Live Activity.

There’s no way to turn the timer off. It keeps on running in the background forever and ever night Day in and night out. 
You have to delete it to get it to stop working in the background.

**Developer response:** Sorry for the long wait — and thank you for the report. In v1.6.x we rebuilt notifications from the ground up: alerts now use weekday-based scheduling, you can pick any days of the week as days off, and the timer no longer keeps running silently in the background. Removing notifications is also straightforward in the latest build. We'd love for you to give it another try.

■ Live Activity At your start time, the time left and a progress bar appear on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. The colour shifts an hour before you finish, calls out the moment you hit your end time, and turns red to count your overtime. Nothing shows on your days off.

■ One-tap controls End your day, extend by 15/30/60 minutes, or start a break — from the Lock Screen or inside the app. Tapping "Done for Today" stops today's notifications and the countdown together, while leaving next week's schedule untouched.

■ Log and on-time streak Days you finished on time and days you ran over are recorded automatically. Your on-time streak shows on the home and log screens, and days off are skipped so a weekend never breaks it.

■ StandBy Charging on its side, your iPhone becomes a desk clock counting down to the end of your day.
