## What is ClockClanker?

Your alarm goes off. You silence it in half a second, half-asleep, same as yesterday, same as tomorrow. After enough mornings, your brain barely wakes up to do it.

ClockClanker is the alarm your brain can't learn: a voice that greets you by name and pulls you into a real conversation that's different every single morning. There's no snooze button to slap. You talk your way awake, and by the end of the chat you're not just up. You're already thinking. No ads. No screaming sirens. No math problems at six in the morning.

■ How the morning goes

Your alarm fires. ClockClanker says good morning to you, by name.
It mentions the rain, asks about your nine o'clock, remembers you wanted to start with a run.
You just answer.
A few exchanges later your eyes are open, your head is running, and going back to sleep feels stranger than getting up.

■ The night before

In the evening, ClockClanker nudges you to shape tomorrow: when to wake, which voice, what matters most in the morning. Thirty seconds before bed, and your first waking minutes already point the right way.

■ Keep the streak alive

Commit to your wake-up days. Finish your morning conversation and your streak grows, with badges along the way and streak freezes for the occasional rough night. Snoozing stops feeling like a relief and starts feeling like losing something.

■ Gentle or firm? Your call

Gentle: Warm and patient. Meets you where you are and brings you forward.
Firm: Caring but direct. Keeps you honest with your own goals.
Neither shouts. Neither guilts. They just make staying in bed harder work than getting up.

■ An alarm you can trust

Built on Apple's alarm system: it rings even on silent, even in Focus. Your voice is transcribed right on your iPhone. The audio never leaves the device, only the words do, to keep the conversation going.

■ Make it yours

• Your name: every greeting is personal
• Your first action: the thing you planned to do when you get up
• Your weather and your calendar: woven into the conversation
• Your voice: 32 voices across 5 languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian)

■ Recommended for

• People who snooze five times and hate themselves for it
• People who want mornings with direction: today's weather, today's calendar, today's plan
• Early runners and gym-goers who need a push out the door
• Anyone who wants to start the day thinking, not scrolling
• Not for heavy sleepers who need a 100-decibel siren. ClockClanker wakes your mind, not the whole house.

Tonight, set the alarm. Tomorrow, talk your way awake.

### 1/5 — Unable to test - $8/week

*2026-08-07*

Delightful concept, however I am not going to pay $8/week for an alarm app.

With no free trial or anything?
No Thank You.

**Developer response:** Fair feedback. Worth knowing: there's also a $40/year plan (~77¢/week). Every conversation runs on live AI, which costs us real money per morning — that's why there's no free tier; we'd rather be upfront about that than show ads or sell your data. That said, we're a brand-new one-person studio and we'd love for you to actually hear it — drop us a line at support@clockclanker.com and we'll sort you out.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.2 — 2026-08-11

This update puts you in charge of how your morning conversation goes.

• Build your own wake-up: drag Weather, Morning routine, Daily goals and Calendar into the order you want. Leave one out and it never comes up.
• ClockClanker opens with whatever you put first, so the conversation starts where your day starts.
• A single tap on "I am awake." ends the conversation the moment you are ready.
• Your alarms stay exactly as you set them: dismiss one in the app and the next occurrence still rings on time.
• Smoother, steadier wake-ups from the first word to the last.
• German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese across all the new screens.

### 3.1 — 2026-08-01

This update is mostly about alarms that didn't behave, and a ClockClanker that's better company in the morning.

Alarm fixes
• One-time alarms now switch off properly. Dismissing one with the Stop button could previously leave it armed to ring again the next morning.
• Fixed a case where changing a one-time alarm to repeat, after it had already gone off, could stop it ringing at all.
• Alarms are no longer at risk when the app opens without a connection.

A better morning conversation
• ClockClanker says more and asks better questions. It opens differently each day, gets to your routine, weather and calendar early, and stops interrogating you about whether you're awake.
• It knows how many mornings you've strung together and mentions it once, without nagging.
• It starts speaking sooner after you tap Talk.
• Goodbyes are now spoken in your language.

Plus a number of fixes to the voice session so it always shuts down cleanly when you dismiss.

### 3.0 — 2026-07-28

What's new in 3.0:
• Redesigned Wake-Up Streak: your day count, a history heatmap of every banked morning, and badges.
• Fresh look: icon-only tab bar and a cleaner alarm list — tap an alarm to edit it, flip the switch to arm it.
• Pick your app icon: gold, mono, blue, black, red, or yellow.
• Add an alarm straight from your home screen: long-press the ClockClanker icon.
• Reliability: your morning greeting now always plays, even if you stir early.

### 2.9 — 2026-07-16

What's new in v2.9:
  • Hear your wake-up call before it ever rings: right after setup, ClockClanker greets you out loud in the voice you picked — with your name, your wake-up time, and tomorrow's weather.
  • Permission prompts now appear right where they make sense, so you always know why each one is needed.
  • Polish and fixes throughout.

### 2.8 — 2026-07-08

What's new in v2.8:
  • A fresh light design across the whole app — plus a Dark Mode option in Settings.
  • The wake-up call now plays a sunrise: the sun rises over a city skyline while ClockClanker talks you out of bed.
  • Simpler onboarding with bigger text and a friendlier robot up front.
  • Polish and fixes throughout.
