### 2/5 — Inaccurate results

*2026-08-26, version 5.19.0*

The results from day to day vary by a large amount so I think the app is basically a marketing gimmick to get you to constantly add this or that product made by Clorox.

### 3/5 — Great app. When it works

*2026-08-24, version 5.19.0*

I am all in with Clorox. I own just about every pool chemical, accessory and testing supply they make. I even switched to Clorox low splash bleach for laundry.

However, the app lately has been freezing on the title screen or is simply blank. I have deleted and offloaded it, reinstalled, Googled what might be wrong, shut down my iPhone for 30 seconds and even have done the hokie pokie and nothing helps.

Please, please, please BioLabs. Do something.

### 2/5 — Don’t Update

*2026-08-17, version 5.19.0*

Cannot log in after latest update. Not even after password reset. No option for offline calculator without account but can’t log into account. Completely useless

### 2/5 — App issues

*2026-07-20, version 5.19.0*

App is giving me a hard time nothing is working I keep having to open and close the app no options are popping up at all

### 2/5 — Connection issue

*2026-07-18, version 5.19.0*

I have had connection issues ever since I loaded the app. I have deleted it, reinstalled it and still no connection. Nothing in the support option works. Could be a good app if everything worked properly.

### 1/5 — Frozen

*2026-06-09, version 5.19.0*

App is stuck on notifications screen.

### 3/5 — Test Strip Pictures Blurry on iPhone 17 Pro Max

*2026-06-09, version 5.19.0*

Just updated my phone and the app now takes blurry images of test strips. I suspect the app has not been optimized for the new camera specs.

### 1/5 — No good

*2026-06-01, version 5.19.0*

Worst product I’ve ever seen doesn’t tell you anything when you scan or whatever you do with the test

### 1/5 — Freeze and won’t open

*2026-05-23, version 5.19.0*

The app was great, but in the last months it freezes and will not open. I have checked for updates and bug fixes and found no help

### 1/5 — Does not work for spas

*2026-05-06, version 5.19.0*

I bought the test kit for my hot tub. I only bought Clorox because it had the app. The app does not allow you to enter under 1000 gallons, so I will be buying HTH products from now on.

### 2/5 — Logs me out

*2026-05-01, version 5.19.0*

Keeps logging me out all the time

### 2/5 — Kind of broken

*2026-04-21, version 5.19.0*

I wanted to do support, but the support link goes to a generic page so –

You need to scan that strip in 15 seconds, but, even if you have logged in, after you take the picture, it wants you to login again and you lose your results.

Hopefully you remember them, otherwise, you use another strip…

### 1/5 — Doesn’t scan test strip

*2026-03-06, version 5.19.0*

While easy to use, scanning the test strip is useless as it doesn’t scan correctly. Each time it gives the same results and is nowhere close to what the strip actually shows

### 1/5 — Email required

*2026-02-28, version 5.19.0*

Uninstalled - scanner is behind a login screen, and pretty much any other app feature. I’m so tired of this email and account setup tax that’s completely unnecessary. This app USE to work as advertised, I should have expected them to render it completely useless unless you give up more of your time, effort, privacy, and unsolicited marketing spam inbox bandwidth.

### 3/5 — Please remove spa from product

*2025-12-29, version 5.19.0*

I bought the spa strips thinking they would work with this app. They should just remove the word spa from the product since the strips don’t work with the app. But beyond that their products work really well. I was just hoping to have a simple way to determine what chemicals needed to be added to my cold plunge.

### 1/5 — Unable to enter fields in the questionnaire

*2025-12-28, version 5.19.0*

Useless. Takes personal info yet fields in calculations are a wall: blank options.
Paid money to use the app to figure water hardness and ph and app won’t function. What a rip off

### 1/5 — Not for Spas

*2025-09-20, version 5.19.0*

Min set up 1000 gallons or above. Who has a spa that is 1000 gallons? Maybe the product owner of this app.

### 1/5 — For Spa? Not for Spa?

*2025-09-15, version 5.19.0*

You sure have a confusing mishmash of whether or not this will work with a spa (hot tub). Throughout the app it refers to a spa, yet it won’t accept a water amount less that 1,000 gallons. Then when you finally get down to scanning a test strip it says the app is not for use with spas - only pools. That makes this app WORTHLESS to me, and I feel like I was mislead into installing it and giving up my personal info.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for spas

*2025-09-13, version 5.19.0*

Bought Clorox Pool and spa test strips for my spa because it has an app that can track the chemical balance. Then I learned the app only works for pools, it won’t take calculations for less than 1000 gallons. So stupid

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to work

*2026-08-23, version 5.19.0*

The app used to work fine. I always have a hard time telling the difference between orange and pink/reddish for pH. That fixed it! Take picture of the strip, read the results, adjust as needed. Well, not anymore. The app keeps saying the capture didn’t work. I deleted the app

### 1/5 — Poor advice and pushes product

*2026-08-16, version 5.19.0*

The app gave poor treatment guidance. It told me to add pH Up, then later showed my pH was too high, while also recommending stabilized chlorine tablets without clearly warning that they raise cyanuric acid. My stabilizer ended up extremely high, yet the app offered little useful guidance beyond pushing more products (such as stabilized tablets, ironically). Do not trust it.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate

*2026-08-02, version 5.19.0*

I can take multiple pics of the same strip and the numbers are all over the place.

### 1/5 — Avoid this app

*2026-07-20, version 5.19.0*

I like the products Clorox makes except one: this app. I followed the apps instructions on how to treat my pool water after testing with test strips. I eagerly did what the app told me to do which was to add an entire bag of Ph Up chemical. Big mistake. Since then I’ve been trying to rid my pool of excessive amounts of soda ash. My pool water is milky white; the pool bottom is coated in white powder and worst of all no one can swim until all the muck is cleared. Weeks have passed now and I have accumulated every pool chemical known to man trying to correct this. Just save your sanity and do it the old fashioned way.

### 1/5 — Not for spas

*2026-07-15, version 5.19.0*

The app says “pool and spa”. The test strips say “pool and spa” and recommends using the app. When I try to use the app it does not accept the dimensions of my hot tub because it did not amount to 1000 gallons. So, the app is useless. Wish I had known this benefited I bought Clorox products.

### 1/5 — No option for spa

*2026-07-11, version 5.19.0*

Requires pools to be at least 1000 gallons

### 1/5 — App sucks would give zero stars if it were an option.

*2026-07-10, version 5.19.0*

Solely designed to get people to purchase over priced products. Strips give radically different results from day to day.

### 1/5 — Use Gemini

*2026-06-28, version 5.19.0*

This app is wack. The scan test strip is inaccurate. Constantly have to adjust it manually. Just use Gemini. It’s AI can keep track of everything for you, give you accurate information and you can have a conversation about your pool.

### 1/5 — Create an account

*2026-06-25, version 5.19.0*

Can’t write nothing down doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Not for Spa

*2026-06-16, version 5.19.0*

Product says Pool and Spa smart strips but won’t work for less than 1000 gallons. My spa holds less than 200 gallons. So it won’t create an account or provide any information in the by app. The diagnostic information on the product bottle is mostly useless.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Helpful and easy to use!

*2026-05-02, version 5.19.0*

While it may not be as detailed as other pool apps it gets the job done. Scanning the strip is much better than doing it manually. I appreciate that it give me the amount of chemicals to add removing the guess work. Overall very happy!

### 5/5 — This app makes caring for a pool easier than ever!

*2023-07-28*

We only purchased the 12 foot wide by 30” deep, but our grandchildren have had so much fun in it!
It’s been easy to keep clear! We purchase the Clorox Brand Pool products, bc we like the App they offer due to the trouble shooting they include on it & the schedule to check the pools water balance & chart it on the app. There was one time we went on a 5 day trip & left the pump going with a 1” chlorine tablets floater floating in the water & it rain/stormed 4 of those days while we were gone. Once we returned it was hot & sunny & the pool had many leaves & bugs in the bottom & on top & the water was beginning to appear light green. Inside of the pool on the walls & floor felt slippery. So; we got on the Clorox Pool app & began our liquid testing of the water & added the exact chemicals it suggested. Then we clicked on solve visible problems on the app & it literally asked step by step questions about the pools water & the pools insides & it also includes helpful pictures of colors of water in pools with problems.
Once we finished the trouble shoot questions we were suggested to vacuum the bottom & sides of pool, scrubbed the inside walls & floor & add Algaecide once finished & the following morning our pool was crystal clear!
& our friends have had an 8 foot inground pool for 10 years & they used this app to maintenance their pool this summer for the 1st time! They also agree that this app has helped them keep their pool clearer than ever!

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2022-06-27, version 5.1.5*

I had an inground pool installed last summer. The pool company suggested I download an app to keep an eye on the chemicals. I went to the store and purchased Clorox test strips, and thought I’d check their app out also.
The one the pool company recommended was extremely challenging to use, Clorox is simple as can be. I deleted the other one.
Additionally, they make purchasing necessary chemicals easy. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — The absolute best!

*2022-06-01, version 5.1.5*

Since using this app my pool is crystal clear. It is very helpful with telling you to put in products to prevent problems. Used to bring water samples to Leslie’s and always left spending $200 to get things right. I avoid all that with this app. Our pool always had a slight green hue to the water- I thought it was the color it was supposed to be!! Now it is the prettiest aquamarine blue.

### 5/5 — Such a HELPFUL App!

*2020-07-18, version 5.1.2*

This is my first summer being a pool owner and without this app and all of my Clorox pool products, I would be lost! All I have to do is dip my test strip in my water and then input my results on the Clorox pool app and it literally tells me exactly what products to put in and how much and after following the simple directions and retesting, I usually have a perfectly balanced pool! Thank you so much Clorox!!

### 5/5 — Use all Clorox products

*2020-06-24, version 5.1.1*

This app has been great! With all the manual cleaning it takes with an above ground pool, it really Takes the guess work out of the chemical needs for the water to stay clean, clear and fresh. My boys use this pool multiple times a day-7 days a week, tons of sun screen and the bugs around here are crazy! I use the liquid test kit, plug the numbers in and receive instant results with suggestions and tips, as what’s needed and the pool stays clear.

### 5/5 — Incredible App/ Very Helpful

*2019-07-17, version 5.0.0*

I bought clorox pool and spa test strips for my pool and the clorox app was extremely helpful. You put in the results for the water analysis and it tells you if how high or low your chlorine, ph, calcium hardness etc. is. Then it gives you chemicals and balancing agents to fix those problems. It also gives you the amount of chemicals and where to find them! I definitely recommend this app and the clorox water testing strips and kit! Thankyou !!

### 5/5 — App was great until the latest update

*2019-06-24, version 5.0.0*

This is the first year using the app. Everything was going well until today. There was an update to the app and now my test result history is gone.
Starting over.
Update: the app developer reached out to me stating they were working to fix this and apologized. Even if it isn’t corrected, it’s nice to know they listen. That’s customer service.

### 5/5 — Lifesaver app

*2018-08-24, version 4.2.0*

We retired to Florida and just had to have a house with a pool!!! Oh boy! We were in over our heads after the first week or so. After several pool stores steered us in the wrong direction multiple times I started looking for an app to help. This app was simple to understand and use. The fact you can also easily get the pool products from Walmart or online added to the ease of use. Love the fact you can test strip, water test or “eyeball” the visual problems. Some advice: keep extra product on hand and clean the filter every day.

### 5/5 — Extremely useful app

*2018-07-14, version 4.2.0*

I just started using this app a week ago and I have to say, I am extremely impressed. I entered all my pool parameters into the app so it knows how many gallons of water it has so it knows exactly how much of a specific product I need to add in order to get it where it needs to be. Which is extremely useful.

My first reading gave me inaccurate results because my phone was blocking the sunlight. Next time I scanned it in full sunlight and it was spot on with what my manual comparison was.
