An alarm would be great. And real-time updates. It takes a while to reflect changes and it misleads in telling you it’s done when it is still working ### 4/5 — Good *2026-03-24, version 3.12.0* I love it, I wish You can add any amount greater than $5 rather $10. sometimes because Id only need $5 and only have $5 to spare on washing. For example, would be nice to see on the app how many machines (washer/dryer) are in use or available. The laundry facility in our apartment compound is in a different building (3 washers/3 dryers for 3 apartment buildings!) Sometimes you’d go there with your laundry and you’d have to fight for an available machine (either all in use or out of order). Would be nice to open up the app, see if any machines are available, or will be available soon by showing you how many minutes left on the machine. It would be an improvement and a convenience to those wanting to do their laundry. ### 3/5 — Money grab *2025-12-12, version 3.12.0* This app mandates a minimum card value add of $10 each time you need to add funds. There are pop up messages to add additional time that cannot be disabled on the app which leads to you accidentally pressing it and adding more time to your cycle than you may have intended to. The only reason I use it is because I need to when traveling. Some suggestions to make it better are only charge the asking price and do it in one of the existing payment ecosystems—like Apple Pay. Don’t make me load another quasi gift card. I mean I get why – it’s like an interest-free loan. I like the concept in principle though. Just tighten it up in favor of the customer. It’s a slow burn, but it’ll lead to more favorable business outcomes long-term. ### 1/5 — This app is garbage *2025-11-02, version 3.11.1* I live in a building that used to be military housing, so outside of our individual apartments, connectivity is horrible. Not sure why knowing this, the community management company thought this was a good option. It takes forever for the app to load, then even longer to establish a Bluetooth connection. I had to delete and reinstall the app to try to correct the problem and now my building isn’t even recognized in the app. I wish my building works either allow us to have washers and dryers in our units OR go back to showing us to load laundry cards. ### 3/5 — “Ready” notifications are incorrect *2025-10-15, version 3.11.1* My new apartment building uses this app and while I find the UI just ok, the notification that my wash and dry cycles complete are inaccurate. I receive a notification and go and switch my loads only to discover that there’s 5 minutes left on each cycle. It’s really annoying! In addition, the drying interface asks if I’d like to “top up “ my time for an additional $.25 and it frequently overcharges me between pushing start on the machine and it’s syncing to the app. Such a scam! ### 1/5 — Malfunctions and poor User Design *2025-09-12, version 3.7.0* I’ve just started using this for a few months and while it’s fin while it works, it’s as janky as any other low budget app designed with little user experience in mind. The card machines are a scam, they’ll take your $5 and never be in service so you can’t use them. The app glitches constantly and does not link with any payment apps requiring you to always have a physical card (this becomes a problem when you’re physically in a laundry room trying to start your machine and the app decides it’s time to re-verify your payment). Do not recommend until they get serious and actually consider the user in their design, re-entry requirements, and payment options. Hopefully their security is better than the rest but highly unlikely so make sure you use a card you can replace if needed because they don’t allow more secure payment methods. ### 1/5 — Sign up process doesnt work *2025-09-08, version 3.7.0* I was sent a verification code when trying to sign up which I entered but the code was rejected. Tried to sign up again, but it said there was already an account with that phone number. So i tried logging in with the password i had put in the first time i tried to sign up. But that password was incorrect. So now i have no way to create an account, because I can’t use my phone number, and my password is incorrect. ### 1/5 — Malfunctioning *2025-06-24, version 3.7.0* I am very frustrated with this supposed update. Forget about the forced minimum add funds amount, let’s talk about the add funds function not working with credit cards that work everywhere else; lets talk about the inability to talk to a person because of their unavailability . . . and add to the fact that this is a problem in a senior building where computer savvy is not always a readily available skill. 🔫🔫🔫😤😤😤👿👿👿 ### 1/5 — Terrible app that also steals money *2025-06-23, version 3.7.0* Makes you add a specific amount of money, which is difficult to use evenly. Then your leftover money mysteriously vanishes between uses. Thieving app for a terrible company. If your building uses it complain. Would give 0/5 stars if possible. ### 1/5 — The app doesn’t let you create an account *2025-06-12, version 3.7.0* When I try to verify my phone number the app doesn’t send me the verification code ### 1/5 — Frustrating experience *2025-06-07, version 3.7.0* I’ve consistently had a disappointing experience using the Clothesline mobile laundry app. The system forces you to add a minimum of $10 every time, even if your laundry costs less. This results in a growing balance of unusable extra dollars trapped in the app, essentially holding your money hostage unless you keep using their flawed service. Worse, many of the machines are frequently broken, malfunction mid-cycle, or don’t register payments properly. Many times where payments are deducted but the machines end up NOT working. Then you will need again to recharge with 10$ to use another machine, Ridiculous. The cleanliness of the machines is also unacceptable. Application requires loading funds well in excess of the amount needed to do a load. I only did one load of laundry, so nothing would have warranted the additional $2.75 charge. Additionally, the app shows that both charges were taken out at the exact same time to the second.
