### 4/5 — Nice! Like the scrambled words!

*2014-01-03, version 1.4*

It would be better if you could also be able to move the text where you want it. And also include rotating ability for text? Not just change size or delete it. FIX THIS AND IT WOULD BE WORTH FIVE STARS!!

### 5/5 — Beautiful word art

*2013-11-30, version 1.4*

I thought this app would be hard to use, but you just enter in a URL, tap a button and it automatically creates beautiful artwork for you using your own words. Tap the button again and it creates a new, totally different piece! The most amazing app I've seen yet!

### 5/5 — Easy!

*2013-09-28, version 1.3*

This app is easy to use and the output looks so professional. Love the different layout features.

I had trouble figuring out a hyphenated word and when I sent an email to the support contact the response was very timely. (Btw - the issue I was having was me - not the app!)

### 4/5 — Basically great

*2013-08-23, version 1.2*

Basically a great app for simple creativity. Annoying that the groupings change each time you make edits or add words but overall a fun little app.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2013-07-15, version 1.2*

I've been searching the Net for word cloud programs that can display foreign words. This is it. Also, great selection of fonts.

### 4/5 — Great app for

*2013-04-06, version 1.2*

designing slides for a presentation or e-book.

NOTE TO THE DEVS:
One HUGE suggestion- how about an option to retain hyphenated term integrity? Sometimes I want a TERM cloud, and something like 'x-axis' becomes x and axis in the cloud. Which just looks stupid. I can't imagine it would take any programming effort at all to give an option not to break up hyphenated terms. Or maybe anything inside quotes is left as a whole in the cloud? Please?

### 5/5 — Great App.

*2013-03-23, version 1.1*

Good App that produces a variety of word clouds with a nice number of options...easy to use.

### 5/5 — Impressive!

*2013-03-20, version 1.1*

Simply the best alternative to wordle.net!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2019-09-30, version 1.5*

I thought this would be similar to word art.com however I wasted money on this app.

### 1/5 — This app stinks

*2013-05-22, version 1.2*

This app is stupid. Would not let me add words more than once to fill space. You also cannot change the shapes of the layout. Waste of money

### 2/5 — Disappointed.

*2016-08-27, version 1.5*

It's nice out. It's a fun app for playing around with. But I can't tell it which words to emphasize, and I'm not finding a way to emphasize the words in any case. I wish I could get a refund, because it's not a meeting what I need.

### 2/5 — Not that great.

*2013-03-23, version 1.1*

I was really hoping for something along the lines of tagxedo. I was disappointed by the limitations of this app. You can't add a picture shape for the words and it doesn't use all the words you input. Good if you are just wanting colorful words in a pattern but not great if you are wanting more art like word clouds.

### 3/5 — Needs improvement

*2015-07-22, version 1.4*

If you have just a bunch of random words, it's fine, BUT I don't like the scrambled words. It doesn't allow me to move them around, even though you are supposed to be able to do so.i feel like I've wasted $0.99 for this app because it doesn't do what I want it to do. :(

### 3/5 — I like the concept but...

*2013-03-09, version 1.1*

Nice bug kill, thanks. Would be nice if you could set borders or flat surface under the text for a floor effect, more interactivity of where to position text would be nice, instead of a random cloud. That's pretty much it for now..

### 4/5 — Great for the Price but...

*2017-02-05, version 1.5*

This is the second word cloud app that I've purchased. I love the colors, fonts, and advanced choices to make the word clouds. I'm a 5th grade teacher and use this app to make electronic puzzles for my students for spelling. The only problem I've had is that I cannot get the spacing characters to work. I've tried all that the app says will work: +, -, ~, _, etc. Unfortunately none will work. My iPad is up-to-date, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. If the spacing characters worked, I would have given this app 5 stars.

### 4/5 — Nifty! EZ to use, no crashes

*2016-12-27, version 1.5*

Well done. Just needs more font choices and more density or larger layout allowing short word repeats.
As good in some ways as that $6 app, but short a few options.
#RECOMMENDED
...tested 5 days on iPad mini

### 4/5 — LOVE IT

*2016-02-23, version 1.5*

Coolest app ever for SINGLEWORDSONLY as far as I can tell. I wonder if the developers could tell me how to make word art for phrases and/or complete sentences?

If you want SINGLEWORDSONLY this app is very good!!

### 4/5 — Great App BUT--

*2014-11-27, version 1.4*

Sure would be nice to have some instructions somewhere!! They have been very good about responding to questions but I should be able to just go to a Guide Book. It was also be SO great to have a Back button to retrieve an image that you preferred to ones coming later. AND, more fonts that could be used on a PDF...

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this free app

*2022-08-03, version 1.5*

This app invites in the creative voice to shine. It lets me take an important text and turn it into a visual that communicates at deeper levels than the linear one. It is easy to use. Feels friendly and safe.

Thank-you!

### 5/5 — I jazzed up my entire online course in less than 5 minutes

*2017-03-29, version 1.5*

I created word art to go on the landing page with each week's concepts. Each method for quickly generating a cloud worked well, the webpage option taking some twiddling. Loved zipping through options. I'm working through the iPad apps i have to whittle it down to the best, and it will take some fancy pants stuff to beat this one. Nicely done!

### 5/5 — Great for phrases too!

*2016-12-19, version 1.5*

1) Phrases can be used if you join the words with a + symbol (or also - ~ _). Use the symbol in place of a space. *Tap on "other" to tell the app which symbol you used.

2) Words change size either by the number of times they appear onscreen or by tapping on the word and sliding the bar.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2014-12-25, version 1.4*

I love this app! It works great! There is a lot you can do with the words. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2014-10-27, version 1.4*

I have used this app many times with terrific results. It's easy, flexible and performs flawlessly. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2014-07-04, version 1.4*

I like it that you can use words from a website or put in your own. It's fun to see how it turns out.

### 5/5 — Love This App!!!

*2014-04-02, version 1.4*

I just adore this app! Kudos to the developers!

### 5/5 — Exceptional

*2014-03-04, version 1.4*

Great app. Very impressive

### 5/5 — Nice app - well worth the price

*2013-12-15, version 1.4*

This is a very well designed, flexible, and easy to use app (v. 1.4). The option to remove or resize specific words is a helpful and nice touch. It will even handle non-alphabetic languages like Chinese and Japanese - but with a little extra work needed to put in periods to separate words! I look forward to enhancements in future updates, for example option to change the color of individual words.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2013-12-07, version 1.4*

By far this is one of the most useful apps I've installed in quite some time.
I capture the output to a video recorder.

It would be great to include animation options, including warping the final display with finger drag gestures.

Thanks for such a wonderful app!
