## What is Cloudbase App?

Cloudbase is the modern skydiving logbook. Whether you're chasing your A licence or your 5,000th jump, it keeps up with you.

Your jumps sync automatically from your dropzone's manifest system. Every load, aircraft, freefall time, and discipline lands in your logbook without typing a thing. Log manual jumps too, capture gear and altitudes, and export a PDF when you need one.

Skydiving is a community sport, so Cloudbase brings the community in. Follow your crew, react to their jumps, leave a comment after a big day, and celebrate the milestones together. Hit 100 jumps, finish a tracking dive, earn your D licence, and your feed lights up.

Upload your GPS tracks to replay a skydive second by second. Pull up speed and altitude graphs, study your canopy approach, dial in your swoop.

Pair with Apple Watch for automatic jump detection on your wrist, plus currency and totals on a complication.

Follow your home DZ, see who's jumping today, check how you stack up on the leaderboards. DZ owners get tools to post updates and run their presence.

Cloudbase is free. Pro is for skydivers who want more, with deeper progression tracking, custom exports, and tools for instructors and coaches.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.23.0 — 2026-08-26

Weather landed. Every dropzone now has its own weather screen with winds aloft, cloud base and a live radar, plus a "where can I jump" view that ranks the DZs near you on whether the day is actually jumpable.

You can attach links to a jump now, so your outside video or the dive plan lives on the jump itself instead of in a chat somewhere.

Dropzone day cards in the feed are reactable, and each one has its own permalink you can share.

Also in this one: Garmin watches that record without a GPS track now land on the right jump instead of orphaning next to it, and Burble tells you plainly when your connection needs reconnecting rather than going quiet.

### 0.21.9 — 2026-08-17

Fixes a problem where the watch could stop recording your GPS track partway through a jump.

### 0.21.8 — 2026-08-15

Apple Watch reliability: DZ mode now shows a clear Stalled state if watchOS blocks background recording, and recovers itself when you open the app. Smarter altitude zeroing when arming mid-climb, even with no GPS signal in the aircraft, plus fixes for altitude drift on long days at the DZ.

FlySight: clearer steps for putting an FS2 into pairing mode, and if a scan finds nothing you can now report it and copy the details off your device.

Uploads: queued recordings now show when they are close to expiring.

### 0.21.5 — 2026-08-14

Mostly Apple Watch this time.

The climb screen is easier to read at a glance: bigger numbers, fewer labels, an arrow pointing back to the DZ, and GPS signal bars so you can tell whether the watch actually has a fix. The canopy screen now matches it, and when something is wrong it names the problem instead of just dimming.

Also fixed on the watch: the post-jump summary could trap you while an upload was still running, the paywall showed the wrong price, and the watch was discarding usable GPS fixes inside the aircraft, which blanked heading, ground speed and DZ direction on jump run.

Elsewhere, the landing pin marks where you actually landed rather than where the recording stopped, and your jump map frames the jump instead of zooming out to take in the drive home. Garmin sync has a clearer status display and some fixes to pairing. GoPro MAX and MAX 2 .360 clips now import.

### 0.21.3 — 2026-08-13

New: a unified flight chart with an Analysis tab on every jump — scrub through altitude, speed and G together. Reactor faces on feed cards. Exit-stability trend. Editable freefall time. More reliable Garmin watch sync and DZ delivery. Fixes: saving share cards and videos to Photos, replay altitudes for AON2 X2 and VOG, and more accurate opening-shock and speed records.
