### 4/5 — More libraries

*2026-08-11, version 5.15.2*

Ok app, needs more libraries, no instructions, needs more contents for users who have special needs.

### 2/5 — Limited holds

*2026-08-10, version 5.15.2*

Not liking that I can only get 2 holds a month

### 4/5 — 3.5⭐️ good but could be better

*2026-08-08, version 5.15.2*

I primarily use the app for audiobooks, and overall I use it quite a bit because my library has better availability and shorter wait times here. However, there are a few small conveniences I really wish the app had.

One of the biggest is the rewind function. I don’t like that you have to hit play before you can rewind. I’d also love to see the percentage of the audiobook I’ve completed, rather than only the listening time.

It would also be helpful to be able to access a book’s details directly from the listening screen. Right now, I have to leave the player, go to “My Books,” find the book I’m already listening to, and select it just to get back to the details page.

Another feature I’d really appreciate is the ability to see whether an audiobook version is available when I’m viewing the details for an ebook. It would be much more convenient to switch between available formats directly from the book’s details page.

These are all relatively small things, but they’re conveniences I’m used to having in the Libby app. Since my library through this app tends to have better availability and shorter wait times, I actually use it more often—which is probably why these little inconveniences stand out to me so much.

### 5/5 — Any book

*2026-08-06, version 5.15.2*

I miss punctuation. I want to see commas, not spaces.

Better than Libby for taking notes BUT finds less books than Libby when searching NYPL using same search terms within 1 minute.

### 2/5 — Not enough fantasy books

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-08-04, version 5.15.2*

Thank you for making it so easy to get books I like to read! So much better than having to buy books and then store them. I enjoy going to the library, but love being able to read on my iPad.
Anyway to mark which books I’ve already read?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No support for older Kindles.

*2026-08-07, version 5.15.2*

I only use my kindle for library books. Cloud Library has now upgraded its software locking out older versions. Mine is barely 4 years old and like new - and now it’s good for nothing. You should support ALL versions.

### 1/5 — Author Wrote about New Orleans but Never Stepped Foot Into New Orleans

*2026-08-05, version 5.15.2*

I DNF’d this book so hard when I found out the author did NOT come to New Orleans but only wrote about it. It made a lot of sense about all the things she screwed up in the book. I’m from the New Orleans area and it is CLEAR as night and day that the author did no REAL research on the city or state when the author wrote their novel.
Case and point:

1. Wren was referred to as the county medical examiner. Louisiana does not have counties, we have parishes. She would be referred to as the parish medical examiner or the parish coroner. I at first thought it was a character decision, like they were from out of state, or they were trying to be annoying to Wren, but the character who referred to Wren as the county medical examiner name is Laroux which is as Louisiana or Cajun as you can get.
-Also just a page before he says this they mention The Times Picayune and Orleans Parish….you think she (the author) would know what a Parish was unless she just googled local New Orleans newspaper name.

2. Keeps referring to the antagonist (The Butcher) going down into the basement…New Orleans doesn’t have underground basements nor does any of the surrounding areas and I can’t see a serial killer kidnapping not one, but two people simultaneously, lugging up their bodies UP a flight of stairs and then DOWN a flight of stairs if the raised basement didn’t have outdoor access. I also did DNF this book, so I don’t thoroughly know the schematics of the house and if the author really meant underground or raised basement, but considering she doesn’t even know that New Orleans is below sea level I highly doubt she knew that tidbit.

3. It was mentioned about burying them 6 feet under when New Orleans cemeteries are above ground. Unless you want caskets popping up like daisies in a flood, raised cemeteries are the way to go in the area.

Nothing irritates me more than when an author doesn’t do proper research on a place they’re writing about, especially if they’ve never set foot into the city. It’s sloppy and lazy.

### 1/5 — fix the timer and you’ll get a 5 star

*2026-08-02, version 5.15.2*

be cool if you had a timer like apple books or audible. ya know, set the timer and it stays activated even if you have to pause it. do that, get 5 stars.

I helps me focus on something else but what life throws at me so I don’t get lost in my endless thinking. I am truly grateful for this app and not having to pay hundreds of dollars to listen to audiobooks. Thanks you so much! My favorite app ever!

There is a page count to know the number of pages you have read, and there is a feature where it shows you the pages left in the chapter. This app is just simply amazing!
