Es werden keine Daten mehr abgefragt. ### 2/5 — Really annoying issue *2021-01-16, version 3.10.0* Strange behavior of the app. When I click on a news title very often the text doesn’t match the expected one. Most of the time it’s the next (or previous?) news and it repeats itself several times. Very annoying! ### 4/5 — Bring this back life please *2020-10-01, version 3.9.1* The app itself works but you can tell it needs some updates. All the options in the article view do not work. The article preview is so tiny you can barely read it when you click on something in your feed. I’d love to see this updated. Nextcloud users don’t get much love on IOS ha! This is the only RSS app besides fiery feeds that works with Nextcloud news. FF is subscription based though. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t Sync Articles, Only Shows of Unread Articles *2020-09-13, version 3.9.1* Was really looking forward to using a Nextcloud/Owncloud ATOM/RSS reader on iOS. Unfortunately as a paid apps it leaves much to be desired. ### 4/5 — GREAT APP, but I have some suggestions *2020-08-17, version 3.9.1* Please allow the app to have the sepia theme even though my phone is on dark mode. The black background makes it hard to read on websites. ### 2/5 — Leider noch eher am Anfang *2019-09-20, version 3.8.5* ...denn die Synchronisation funktioniert nur gut korrekt. Gerade bei vielen ungelesenen News werd zwar signalisiert es gibt News, aber es werden keine angezeigt in der App. Außerdem muss dringend was am Design getan werden. ### 2/5 — Works okay, but not great *2019-09-06, version 3.8.5* Nice concept, but it just doesn’t perform as well as the webui or android app. Loads wrong article half the time. Crashes and freezes often. Themes are cool, but make some articles unreadable due to black text on black bg. And the ads, oh the ads...not in the app, but ones usually blocked when feed is loaded in safari. Will check back next year and see if any improvements are made. ### 2/5 — Basic function is there, but not perfect *2019-07-02, version 3.8.4* Yes, it’s possible to read some feeds, but : Background sync is usually not working (settings are on, also on system side), app freezes quite often, some feeditems are not shown, pictures are often mixed up between different items. It seems the developer is not using this app himself, or he has not the time to maintain it. But it is the Only app in the App Store to read Nextcloud RSS, so THANK YOU for this, even it is not perfect! :) ### 2/5 — Regularly freezes when updating feeds *2018-11-06, version 3.7.2* Every time the app updates the state of feeds it freezes for a significant period of time. It is then usually quite sluggish afterwards for a little while. The display for articles in a feed uses some weird unintuitive indentation and I’m not quite sure why, but something about the layout seems to make it harder than I would expect to just scan through articles. ### 4/5 — App fonctionne avec nextcloud *2018-10-27, version 3.7.2* De menus bugs. Fait le taf, sans plus. L’icône n’est pas très jolie. ### 4/5 — Crashes when reading article *2018-10-18, version 3.7.0* Starting today, e.g. with the latest update, the app crashes when I want to read an article. Update: Received a workaround within 2 hours of sending the crash report. There is a problem with Hide Read. You have to turn it off until a fix is in place. ### 2/5 — So lala *2018-09-12, version 3.6.4* Die App macht, was sie soll, nämlich die Owncloud-News abfragen und anzeigen. Leider gibt es noch viel zu tun. Die Synchronisation hakt manchmal und dann geht nichts mehr. Manchmal wird der Artikel nicht angezeigt, sondern nur leere Programmvariablen. Alternativ kann es auch noch passieren, dass die Liste zu einem anderen Artikel führt. So ist das für mich unbrauchbar und ich logge mich lieber auf der Webseite ein... Der Benutzerkomfort bleibt leider hinter "kostenlosen" Feedreadern zurück. ### 2/5 — Se bloque *2018-08-17, version 3.6.4* La dernière version plante dès la vision d’un article. ### 2/5 — Seit Update Buggy *2018-08-04, version 3.6.4* Leider aktualisiert die App seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr sauber und hängt sich ständig auf. Other then that it’s a solid app ### 3/5 — Update? *2017-10-31, version 3.5* Lots of stability issues with iOS 11. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Crashes reliably since last update *2025-12-02, version 4.1.3* Since the last upgrade, the app crashes reliably while showing the getting started lable. This can be reproduced on different devices for iPhone and iPad. That’s an unfortunate development for a long year user. ### 1/5 — So annoyingly slow *2022-10-05, version 3.13.0* This feed reader always was and still is so painfully slow… opening one feed takes 10 to sometimes 30 seconds. Impossible to use! It must be the apps programming which seem to be not very efficient. And no debug logs possible so impossible to check what’s wrong with it. So sad this is still the only option for Nextcloud news on iOS - next to the browser (which at least responds quickly and does not frustrate you, like sitting and spending your life time as with CloudNews). ### 1/5 — Fetching takes forever and doesn’t show results half the time *2022-02-11, version 3.13.0* Sadly not a great app. Background refresh doesn’t even work ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2021-04-21, version 3.11.0* Terrible user experience, nearly no updates, absolutely not fun to use. Don’t spend the money. ### 1/5 — Buggy, far from ready for release *2019-12-26, version 3.9.1* News seem to get synced but some are not visible, increasing the counter for unread items but you will never be able to read them until you check in a webbrowser. Don’t buy this app. ### 1/5 — There is space for improvements... a lot *2019-12-10* Miscount unread topics, duplicated topics, most links lead to wrong article, a few crashes and a support contact button which does nothing. DON'T BUY IT. ### 1/5 — So many bugs, how can you charge for this? *2018-09-20* I’ve been trying to use this app for a few months, and it has so many issues, from hanging after every sync, to presenting empty article lists when there should be articles, to showing lists full of “$Article$”. If there was any other Nextcloud news reading app for iOS, I’d have dumped this one long ago, even if it had been free, it’s terrible. I’m really, really sorry I paid £2 for this. I think using the web app through Safari is less frustrating. I hope an alternative app turns up soon. This demonstrates the problem with having no competition, there’s nothing driving improvement. ### 1/5 — Eine Testversion wäre praktisch *2018-07-20, version 3.6.4* Denn die App hat noch einige Mängel, die sie für mich unbrauchbar macht. Das hätte ich gerne vorher gewusst, bevor ich den Kauf getätigt habe. Zwei Beispiele: Bei Klick auf einen Artikel X, wird mir der Inhalt von Arrikel Y angezeigt. Oder: Klicke ich Nachbereitung Aktualisierung auf einen Artikel, werden in der Detailseite nur Platzhalter angezeigt. Keine Inhalte. ### 1/5 — Auf dem iPad... *2018-06-24, version 3.6.4* Funktioniert die vertical View nicht. ### 1/5 — Leider nicht ohne Fehler *2018-06-01, version 3.6.2* Wenn die App mal länger in den Hintergrund liegt werden anschließend nicht mehr die Inhalte angezeigt sondern die Bezeichnungen der Variablen. Da hilft es dann nur noch die App aus den Speicher zu entfernen und die App neu zu starten. Ansonsten sieht es brauchbar aus. Edit: Ich habe inzwischen meine Bewertung auf ein Stern abgeändert. Nicht nur das obige Problem nervt sondern das teilweise die falschen News zur Headline angezeigt werden. So bringt es überhaupt kein Spaß. Dafür ist der Kaufpreis viel zu überzogen! Edit 01.06.2018: Auch mit dem letzen Update ist es weiterhin so das man kaum eine Headline anklicken kann um dann die Seite mit der Nachricht zu erhalten, sondern das Variablen angezeigt werden ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Not useable *2019-04-25, version 3.8.4* App keeps crashing on start. I've tried other solutions like reeder and feedly and always had problems with syncing or a version being deprecated or something else. I could never get past the hump of integrating a tool into my workflow. There are features I'd like to see, but the core functionality is solid enough that I'm sold.
