## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-08-25

Map reliability

• The base map is now served from CloudPath's own servers. OpenStreetMap had started blocking the app's tile requests, which left parts of the map showing a block notice instead of terrain.
• Those blocked tiles were stored in the device's permanent map cache and would have stayed on screen even after the switch, so this update clears them on first launch.
• Weather tiles that fail to load are now retried instead of leaving blank squares in the rain overlay.

Single-airport view

• Entering one airport with no destination no longer draws a route line and a destination marker to a point that isn't there.
• Removed the flight-time labels, which measured an internal placeholder leg rather than a trip.
• The chart now marks the time you are scrubbed to.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-17

The big addition: multiple weather models.

Multiple weather models
• CloudPath now blends GFS, NOAA HRRR (3 km), and DWD ICON, automatically choosing the best model for your route and time
• Switch models anytime from the map — HRRR now covers a full 48 hours

Faster time scrubbing
• Forecast hours preload in the background, so the map and cross-section update instantly as you scrub or play
• A loading indicator appears while new weather is still building

Better offline
• Download every model that applies to your region, and switch models while offline
• The map now outlines exactly where your downloaded weather coverage ends

Clearer night flying
• Clouds and rain dim realistically after dark, while the freezing level, winds, and lightning stay crisp

More
• Wind-adjusted leg time shown right on the flight-level label
• Lightning and storm cores now shown for HRRR and ICON, plus improved clouds and icing
• Climb, cruise, and descent profile drawn along your route
• Import ForeFlight flight plans; worldwide VOR and waypoint search with country labels
• Day-of-week date picker, a clear-recents control, and many fixes

### 1.1 — 2026-08-11

A major update focused on faster, richer weather.

Faster weather map
• Rain, clouds, flight category, and icing render as smooth, seamless overlays
• Tap any flight-category dot for that station's METAR/TAF
• Wind animates as flowing streaks

Better offline
• Offline mode now renders the full forecast — map, weather overlays, route, and vertical profile — from your downloaded packs

Forecast timeline
• Scrub the timeline to watch the forecast evolve, or tap play

Sharper vertical profile
• Smoother clouds, decluttered labels, lightning at storm cores, flowing wind

Also in this release
• Smarter route entry — airways, procedures, and FAA fixes; 3-letter airport codes
• Crisper FAA sectional charts
• Faster loading, a cleaner one-row route bar, and many fixes

### 1.0 — 2026-05-29

No release notes.
