## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.08.01 — 2026-08-11

A fresh look and our most reliable calling yet.

• A brand-new design. The app now matches your Cloudspire portal — the same blue color system, a subtle animated background, and a redesigned in-call screen that looks great in light and dark mode.

• No more silent calls. The app now confirms your call audio is working before a call connects, repairs it automatically if it isn't, and tells you to try again in the rare case it can't.

• Smarter missed calls. Calls answered by your voicemail now show under Missed, and new calls appear in your history within seconds.

• Call anyone from a text. Conversations show the other person's number under their name, with a one-tap call button.

• One-tap speakerphone. The Speaker button switches instantly between the earpiece and speaker — the full menu appears only when headphones, Bluetooth, or CarPlay are connected.

• Record your voicemail greeting. A new Settings option calls your voicemail box and takes you straight to the greeting recorder.

• Dialing you can trust. Numbers saved with extensions or pauses dial correctly, and search results call the exact number you typed.

• Mute means mute, and sign-out means sign-out. Muting before a call connects now sticks, and signing out fully stops calls and messages for the previous account.

Plus dozens of stability fixes across calling, messaging, sign-in, and notifications.

### 2026.06.04 — 2026-06-03

This update is all about clearer, more reliable calls — especially on cellular.

• Clearer cellular calls. Call audio now adapts to your connection in real time, so a weak or congested signal causes far less breakup.

• Cloudspire OpenLine — calls on the toughest networks. Locked-down hotel, guest, or corporate Wi-Fi that blocks normal calling apps? OpenLine routes your call's audio over the standard secure web port (443), punching through restrictive firewalls so you can make and keep calls where other apps simply fail.

• Cloudspire ClearLine — crystal-clear audio, no data needed. ClearLine places your call as a cellular callback over the carrier voice network, so you get pristine audio even where mobile data is weak or unavailable — perfect for spotty coverage or data-saver situations.

• Calls survive a network change. Move between Wi-Fi and cellular — or switch carriers — in the middle of a call, and your audio now recovers automatically within a couple of seconds instead of going silent.

• Faster connect, with ringback. Calls connect noticeably faster, and you now hear ringing and automated greetings while an outbound call is connecting, instead of silence.

• Lower data use on calls. The app stays quiet on the network during natural pauses in the conversation, trimming mobile-data usage.

• Live status keys. Do Not Disturb, Day/Night, parking, and agent keys update instantly, and the "calls forwarded" banner now reflects your Do Not Disturb state right away.

• Friendlier dialing. Feature codes now show readable names — *97 appears as "My Voicemail" — in your call history and dialer, and you can paste a number with spaces, dashes, or parentheses and it just dials.

Plus a huge range of stability and reliability fixes under the hood.

### 2026.05.13 — 2026-05-16

Voice control is here.

Say "Call John using Cloudspire Voice" to place a call hands-free — works with contact names, specific number types ("Phil's mobile"), extensions, and raw phone numbers. If a first name matches multiple contacts, Siri will ask which one to call.

Three new voice commands let you manage the app without opening it:
• "Set my Cloudspire Voice status to Available / Away / Meeting / Do Not Disturb"
• "Turn on Cloudspire Voice Do Not Disturb"
• "Switch Cloudspire Voice to Cell" (or App)

All three also work as Shortcuts — pin them to your home screen, Action Button, or Focus-mode automations.

Cloudspire ClearLine just got even easier. ClearLine — our carrier-grade callback that routes calls through your cell line instead of VoIP — now auto-connects the moment you answer. No more pressing 1, no waiting for prompts. Just tap, answer your cell, and you're on the call. Say goodbye to subpar call quality when using your business line on-the-go!

New under Settings → Voice Commands: a complete cheat sheet listing every supported Siri phrase, so you don't have to memorize anything.

Also fixed: rare audio static during the first seconds of a call.

Tip: Siri requires the full app name "Cloudspire Voice." Saying just "Cloudspire" won't trigger the app.

### 2026.05.05 — 2026-05-10

- **Conference Calls** — Tap Conference on any active call to drop the other party into your conference room and join them. A new home-screen pill appears when someone's in your room, with a live participant count.

- **Call Recording** — Tap Record during a call to start or stop recording on the fly (when enabled by your administrator). Calls already being recorded automatically light up red so you can suppress them mid-call.

- **Cellular Callback** — A new App / Cell toggle on the keypad places outbound calls through your mobile line: the system rings your phone, plays a "press 1" prompt, and bridges you with your company caller ID.

- **Voice Quality Check** — A new on-demand test in Settings → Troubleshooting probes your voice connection for 30 seconds and gives you a green / yellow / red verdict with round-trip time, jitter, packet loss, and brief-dropout count — plus a recommendation tailored to your network and your current settings.

- **Audio Route Picker** — Replaces the on/off Speaker button. Choose between iPhone earpiece, speakerphone, AirPods, Bluetooth, AirPlay, CarPlay, or wired headphones — the same picker the native Phone app uses.

- **Hold button** added to the active call screen alongside Mute, Keypad, Speaker, and Transfer.

- **Transfer to iPhone Contacts** — The Transfer picker now has an iPhone tab so you can transfer calls to any phone number from your iPhone address book.

- **In-Call Connection Indicator** — A small chip below the call timer shows whether the call is on Wi-Fi or cellular, and whether it's going through the media relay.

- **Connection Mode preference** — Choose between maximum reliability (calls survive switching between Wi-Fi and cellular) or lowest latency for outbound calls.

- **Forwarding / DND banner** on the keypad — amber when your phone won't ring, blue when conditional forwarding is configured. Tap to jump straight to settings.

- **Calls tab reorganized** with Recent, Missed, and Voicemail segments and a separate missed-call badge.

---

## Reliability

- Better cellular call quality with smoother Wi-Fi-to-cellular handoffs.
- Hang Up button now always ends the call, even when the system briefly loses track of it.
- Fixed a race condition that occasionally caused one-way audio when answering a call immediately after another one ended.
- Outbound dialing is more reliable across network changes and cold starts.
- Many smaller fixes across messaging, voicemail, the conference flow, and dial reliability.

### 2026.04.61 — 2026-04-28

New in this version

• Cellular callback — flip the App / Cell toggle on the Keypad to place outbound calls through your cell line with your company caller ID. When your admin has set a mobile number on your extension, the system calls your phone, plays a "press 1" prompt, and bridges you to the destination.
• Hold button on the in-app call screen, alongside Mute, Keypad, Speaker, and Transfer.
• Full audio-route picker on the call screen — choose iPhone earpiece, speakerphone, AirPods, Bluetooth, AirPlay, CarPlay, or wired headphones.
• Transfer to anyone in your iPhone Contacts — pick a contact's cell, home, or work number from the new "iPhone" tab in the transfer picker.
• Call-forwarding and Do Not Disturb banner on the Keypad — see at a glance when your phone won't ring, and tap to jump straight to settings.
• New preference: switch every call, voicemail, and message timestamp between an exact date and time or the live "5 minutes ago" countdown.

Improvements

• The in-app call screen now appears the instant you tap Call, instead of waiting for the other side's audio.
• Tapping Call before the app has finished connecting to phone service no longer feels like a dead button — your tap is queued and the call fires the moment you're connected.
• Cleaner call screens: status indicators on the Keypad now sit on a single row, and call buttons in Contacts, Call Log, and Voicemail are always visible.

Fixes

• End Call works reliably after a fast double-tap on the dial button.
• Call Forwarding now saves every enabled condition on the first press.
• If iOS resets its call system after a long idle period, the app recovers automatically — Keypad and BLF dialing keep working without a force-quit.
• Various reliability fixes for transfers, the cellular callback flow, and signing out.
