Got charged 20$ Even though it showed that apparently you get a 7 day Free trial, But obviously Not the case. Cause I got charged anyway! And the Fact that Nobody really even reply back, which because oF that you don’t even know who’s real and who isn’t because they don’t oFFer a verified thing to see who’s real and who isn’t. However I do Like the Fact that you can Message people as Many times as you want and you don’t have to pay to Message people unlike other dating apps! Other than that, I would Not recommend this app to anyone. ### 2/5 — Be careful of the free trials *2021-08-21, version 7.2.6* Not uncommon to less popular dating apps, many many people are fake or soliciting themselves. I live in Colorado and I struggles to find anyone active on the app other than mentioned above. Lastly signed up for the free trial, immediately charged $119. Apple will refund this if it happens to you but still rather annoying they would just grab your money. I waited to see if this was just a hold on funds but it was a legitimate charge. Not a huge issue to solve on my end but if I was younger that may have been a disaster if my bank account was overdrawn from something like this. That would be money I would not have received back. Lastly I really see nothing worth paying for directed towards the app. ### 2/5 — Great app for catfishers and scammers *2021-02-25, version 7.0.2* Been on the app for about a month with the premium and every day I get no less than 5 “favs” either from obvious catfishers who disappear after I ask them to confirm their identity with a thumbs up selfie, girls trying to sell me their premium Snapchat for nudes, or people trying to get me to send them money for stuff. Chatted briefly with a couple real people over the month but it’s just so full of fake accounts I can’t stand it anymore. The app is easy to use and good in concept which is why I didn’t give it 1 star but just trying to sift through the real and fake accounts is a nightmare. ### 1/5 — Got worse *2020-07-24, version 6.6.1* The app used to be good, but now I can’t tell when I’ve matched with someone or not. I get notifications that I have but there’s no where to go to see my matches Update: Didn’t realize I already had review. But tried the free trial, a lot of either fake profiles or ones not in use (free trial probably ended and they couldn’t use any features any more so deleted app). The app also has some obvious fake profile look at your profile when you first start out, then after they view your profile they block you. It’s also weird it asks for income in the profile creation. It does nice job in ethnicity section with actually having regions instead of colors , but American doesn’t appear on list and they use just white on there which can apply to many regions. Also it doesn’t have the hottest girls on the app like it claims. I’d say save your money and just meet someone in real life ### 1/5 — Banned For No Reason *2020-06-06, version 6.6* So this happened a few months back, and wanted to start a Clover account, as I was finishing my account, it outright said that “ I have violated the terms of service” without giving me any explanation as to why. I was trying to make an account. I was never doing anything else. I tried to send an email to the people at clover, explaining my issue, and they have not gotten back to me. I don’t understand why this happens to me. I try to create a account for a dating app and it either says there’s an error, or have violated terms of service without giving me an explanation as to why. I’m very disappointed in the fact the you people don’t know how to fix simple issues like this. I’ve been single my entire life and you didn’t help me when I needed it the most. How do you expect to get good reviews when you can’t fix problems like these. 😡 ### 2/5 — Below Average *2020-03-04, version 6.4.7* I’ve spent time on a few dating apps and decided to try Clover’s trial for their premium service (no messaging without it). Although I did get to message people and talked to a few at a slightly higher clip than other apps, it’s disappointing to know you have to pay just to communicate. Once you try premium you can refine your filters with categories like height, body time, ethnicity, drug and alcohol habits, etc. The filtering is great. However, once I set my filters I quickly got to the end of the results. I have since broadened my criteria and again, I’ve hit a wall. So in two days of having the trial that lets me set filters and message people, I have run out of results. The silver lining here is you may be able to check out the app in its entirely within the trial period and won’t have to worry about missing potential matches, because you will see the end of the line! Perhaps if you’re in a big city like LA or NY you will have better luck. Overall I am disappointed. I know Clover can’t control how many users they have but they can control what constitutes a premium service and I think they missed the mark here. ### 1/5 — Scammers everywhere *2020-02-29, version 6.4.6* They pose as Chinese girls and tell you about how their English is bad. Depending on your state you may get very little likes, so when one likes you, you’re bound to take a look. They tend to have one picture and it’s only partially pixelated but it can’t be found anywhere on the internet with a reverse lookup tool. They talk to you a bit and then boom! They ask you to download leyile app. The app that costs like 300 dollars for a subscription. It has an active translator function they tell you will help them talk to you easier because they really wanna get to know you and date. I don’t trust it one bit and you shouldn’t either. Happened to me twice in a week. And it’s so annoying. It’s so repetitive you can almost predict what they will say to you. But hey if you got bank go for it and see what happens. Then reply to this to tell me if you somehow got scammed💀 ### 1/5 — They support abusers *2020-02-19, version 6.4.6* I was assaulted a few months ago. The guy broke my nose and left me with severe bruising. I came across the guy on clover, reported him and contacted their support email and even sent them the images of my injuries, his arrest mugshot and charges, and a video of him beating me. But he is still on the app and the support team doesn’t respond to anything. Any other app I used and found him on, he was removed from. Therefore, clover must not care about the safety of other women on this app since he is still able to use it. I thought tinder would be the one to support abusers. Not clover. Wow. So don’t use this app unless you want to risk being abused since they allow that kind of thing. ### 1/5 — Do NOT download its a scam app *2019-12-16, version 6.4.5* Signed up for free trial, then immediately canceled within the free period. They billed me anyway and will do the same to you! I am between jobs and these goon decided they would charge me over $149 for the last TWO MONTHS! This is after hitting unsubscribe AND deleting the app within a few days of downloading! I don’t even have money to buy Christmas presents this year but these fools think it’s ok to scam people like me to line their greedy pockets. So far have heard nothing from support and was only able to get five of the NINE recurring charges refunded in the last two months from Apple. Reporting them for fraud and to the police if I don’t get a response from their customer service to fix this ASAP. Will update review if they fix this. UPDATE no response still Monday Dec 16th ### 1/5 — Honest opinion *2019-10-23, version 6.4.4* I would like to start and say I’m a tall fit above avg. looking male. I have been apart of this dating seen now for 18 months I have been on all of the sites. This is all my own opinion of course take it for what it’s worth. These sites are all about making money with fake profiles. I have been on here for only for 4 days or so but it’s the same old same old. As soon as you create a account ( not a membership account) you get hit with all these likes that are blurred out. Just like other sites they do this to get you to pay for a membership. Then as soon as you buy into there membership the people that liked you don’t match up with your profile requirements. And after you pay for the membership not only have I not had any more likes the ladies I swipe right on and sent a message to never come online. It’s well over 30 people. As this site does along with the other more popular sites they send fake profiles into your que but they never respond to your messages. I’m not sure who can give a positive review when this is so apparent what happens on these sites. Once again this is my opinion take it for what it’s worth. ### 2/5 — Filtering issue *2019-10-18, version 6.4.3* The filtering/preferences was a huge disappointment. Each time I added my preferences the app would tell me there was no one in my radius that matched. I went from single, straight, no kids, and within 30 miles, to just single, straight, and within 120. Nothing. In addition, I kept receiving messages from people outside of my specified age group. I set my bracket between 28-35, and yet I kept getting people over 40 trying to chat. I understand that my age might be in their settings, but I shouldn’t be popping up in their search if their age isn’t within my age preference - if that makes any sense. Overall and once again very disappointed with another dating app. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2019-10-12, version 6.4.3* Like most of the reviews, while there might be some legit people which I have yet to come across. Too many scammers, my favorite one is to verify who you are with an application Hahaa, I did not know I was applying for a job. That is my favorite one to date and very creative. The obvious scams are how explicit they are in their profile which you think you are getting a pornstar off Pornhub. I just wonder how many people fell for it though. You see it all from buy my premium snapchat..why? with all the free content available haha. While I did not have any high expectations with the site, I found it to be less than one star if possible but one star was the lowest rating possible. This app is really good for good laughs if you are bored with some of the replies you get. The marketing on the tv does get you to download and try it out, ### 1/5 — Since the support email doesn’t work *2019-10-10, version 6.4.3* Hello my name is Tyler Davis and I just got this new iPhone and I’m not able to download anything to my phone because it’s asking me to change my billing but unfortunately my account is in the negative based off a charge from this app which I deleted a long time ago but I guess the subscription never cancelled so now I have to wait til I get paid and get my account out of the negative just for me to pay for this app subscription and then I can finally download all my apps back on my phone which are free . They also told me from Apple IT they would reimburse me for this so I just wanted to know if it’s possible for you all to cancel this payment so then it’s not pending so then I can take my card off my Apple ID account and I can just get my new information on here . Thank you pls get back to me ### 1/5 — Scammers and Fake Accounts Aplenty *2019-09-23, version 6.4.3* This app seems to have a good amount of money invested in it, considering their marketing blitz that has them posted everywhere, which supports an impressive app, however there is not a good user base and the fact that a membership is paid, it’s not worth the price of admission. Shortly into my time on the app I’ve had multiple encounters with different types of scammmers/not great people. Some trying to sell nudes with a (probably fake) sob story about needing just a little bit more money for rent or others straight up asking me to buy illegal drugs for them right from their intro. Let alone the other fake accounts that exist too. I’m done with this app and recommend you don’t get sucked in as well ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Thieves *2022-12-17, version 9.0.8* Update: still no response from support almost a year later haha! Great app…. Yeah right! I streamed on this app for 2 weeks and earned my first cash out. This was exciting for me so I requested to cash out my gems. My account was fine all day and night. The next morning I go to log in to check my inbox and my account was permanently deleted. It said I had violated terms of use. Now Here’s where it gets ugly. I was unsure how I violated since I hadn’t streamed in between my cash out and deactivation. I have sent several emails asking for an explanation as to why I was banned permanently and I get this auto response saying they’ll reply within 2days. Well it’s been well over a week and I still haven’t gotten a response. So I’ve concluded clover is a thief of an app. They deactivated my account stole my cash out and the gems sent to me by my fans. ### 1/5 — Full trial results in nothing *2022-08-01, version 9.0.3* This app is a scam, you’d think it’s run by matchgroupllc inc. who owns meetme, tinder, match, hinge, and more, because it’s an outright love/friend interest scam. They have no incentive to get rid of fake profiles that they honestly probably create through third parties, so those users get counted in our amount of time spent during the trial liking people, asking them on dates, etc. I have reached out to a thousand people. That’s 1,000, and not one person was either active or real and I also only got two views. However, as soon as my free trial was up, why, what’s this? The profiles to chose from all the sudden became more real looking, I started getting views too, but oh I’m not allowed to message or see who it was because in order to do that I must pay money. It’s a scam app okay. ### 1/5 — This app is the worst *2021-12-17, version 7.4.6* In short, most users of this app aren’t even on here to date. They do this little high school-esque meet and greet in the groups section, upload nudes then report eachother in the group section (was morbidly humorous to watch that kinda bickering until it got too creepy), and much more (like stalking or engaging in unethical sex work through the app’s matching system!). Also, you can get reported, at any point, for anything, with no rule set or appeals process. I got banned because someone I had to file a restraining order against reported me, I assume sometime after I had called the police and uninstalled the app. Did I mention how rude, emotionally manipulative, and aggressive/bigoted people on here are? ### 1/5 — Rude, Slow Customer Service *2021-10-18, version 7.3.6* I have deleted and downloaded this app many times, but it will not open and just gives me a blank screen that says “Tap to Reload.” I sent Clover screenshots, screen recordings, my iPhone update version, etc and they repeatedly asked me questions I had already answered in the emails. They finally told me that they don’t allow their product to run on jailbroken devices. Cool story, except MY DEVICE IS NOT JAILBROKEN. I bought it from the Apple Store brand new in box. My phone is “unlocked” because I got it from the Apple store and not Verizon, but my phone is NOT “jailbroken.” Just say you have a bug in your product and don’t accuse me of jail breaking a phone. Ugh. Never again. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2021-07-16, version 7.2.1* Just like every other dating site and all I’ve tried, this is trash. You can’t do anything for free except favoriting profiles which does nothing. Used to have free messaging and such but they took that away (presumably when they started forcing membership up front after profile creation, as far as what I’ve gathering from other reviews.) Most likely owned by Match like everything else. They ruin everything they touch. And if it isn't… we’ll shame on them, because that’s who they are acting like. I’m also guessing most of the 5 star reviews are fake just like every other scam dating app, the only 5 star reviews are either bought, mistakenly given by people who didn’t check it before giving a negative review, or just bots. That or old reviews from back when you could actually do anything for free. ### 1/5 — NOT FREE!!! *2021-01-10, version 6.7.1* Not really sure why this is listed as a free app when it’s not. It asked for a credit card before I could even see the people in my area. I’m not above paying for premium memberships. But would be nice if you could at least look around the app before asking for you to pay them! Also when setting up profile it ask if you want them to live in an apartment or house? How does that factor into dating someone??? Idk maybe it’s just me but just because someone doesn’t own a house doesn’t mean they aren’t doing life right?! If I could would give zero stars! Don’t waste your time downloading unless you want to pay before even seeing what they have to offer! ### 1/5 — This app is misleading. *2021-01-05, version 6.7.1* The minute you open the app it first offers a subscription. I normally don’t stay on dating apps for long because I don’t get much response from people, so I skipped. Then people started messaging me like crazy without even “favoriting” me, which is this apps version of “swiping right” like in Tinder. It didn’t make any sense how I got them all at once, and they were all cheesy pickup lines. Then, I text people back and proceeded to not get a response from anyone. Then a guy messaged me later on saying he never sent the first pickup line and that he wasn't interested. I have a feeling the app just messages people for you in hopes that someone will come through. So not only do you get a bunch of messages from people that weren’t actually sent by them, there’s a good chance it’s happening to others from your account too. Just fair warning. Other than that the app works okay. ### 1/5 — Account deactivated unfairly *2021-01-05, version 6.7.1* I have been using this app for a few weeks and suddenly this morning while in the middle of using it all my messages disappeared and I tried to refresh then I get a message saying I violated their terms which is bogus because as a single mom I can guarantee I didn’t do anything to violate their terms!! So maybe they shouldn’t just take some angry man’s word and deactivate a person’s account and actually look into it. I didn’t Post inappropriate pics, or say anything inappropriate either or solicit anything or anyone so I want to know why my account was deactivated!! Also the fact that I have been on here with no issues since Thanksgiving should be a clue that maybe it was a man that was angry and they really should have checked my pics and messages before deactivating my account!! ### 1/5 — Honestly disappointed *2020-07-29, version 6.6.2* So aside from the fact that you can’t do anything without premium, which is ridiculous, the app started randomly sending icebreakers to people I had actually declined to match. Multiple times in fact. Didn’t tell me about it, I just all of a sudden get messages from people I wasn’t interested in and had declined. Not only did I have to tell them I didn’t send the message, I had to tell them I wasn’t interested, which is literally half the reason that I and pretty much anyone else uses these apps, to avoid having to reject someone you’re not interested in. It’s more than a little messed up, and on top of that it took no consideration for any preferences I had set in the app. Each one was marked by boost feature. Maybe just take that particular feature out completely since it doesn’t provide benefit to anyone. ### 1/5 — This app is a joke and doesn’t feel safe *2020-07-25, version 6.6.1* I had to delete it literally a couple of hours after creating my account, as I was bombarded with messages with inappropriate sexual content from trashy guys who have pictures of their naked torsos and eggplant emojis in their profiles. And no, I am not one of those “Instagram babes” who show off a bunch of duck face selfies and half naked pictures. All of my photos were fully clothed and I said it clearly in my profile that I was looking for a long term relationship. Yet was favorited and messaged by a bunch of weirdos telling me about their sexual fetishes and looking for hookups. One guy who messaged me openly said he was 16! His profile said 21 though. I am sure there are a bunch of perverts, rapists and serial killers on there, as they don’t seem to do any check or profile moderation just letting anyone register and write whatever they want. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Happily Ever After *2023-01-14, version 9.0.9* I met the man of my dreams on this app. I had tried others and nothing worked for me. I either had to pay a lot or met people I wasn’t interested in. After starting to lose hope I downloaded this app I hadn’t heard of before. I matched with a my current boyfriend who I plan on marrying soon. I am very happy that this app exists. The format, options, and interface were all great and I would definitely use this app again! ### 5/5 — Could be the best dating app ever! *2021-02-25, version 7.0.2* I say this could be the best because it has one MAJOR flaw: most of its users have been inactive for a very long time. You see profiles that say, “hi, I’m 21 in college...” when their actual age is like 27. The reason is probably because nobody is willing to pay the exorbitant price for premium membership, which this app is basically useless without. Don’t waste your money on premium because nobody uses this app anymore, except for con artists and escorts that want you to pay for sex. ### 5/5 — Can’t do anything without paying *2020-07-13, version 6.6.1* It’s not a swipe system like the other functional dating apps, you have to either get premium or just browse through irrelevant stuff that you can’t interact with. I put this at five stars so people will see this along with any fake/coerced reviews on here so you can “improve your karma”. There’s no harm in downloading that I can tell, and it does have a free 7 day trial, but really it’s not that generous as that’s the only way you can actually use the app. ### 5/5 — READ ME! thank me later! *2019-09-11, version 6.4.2* There is no good place to start; I hope at least this review helps so no one else ever has to. The app very quickly starts giving reason to upgrade your account. Even though I canceled prior to 24hrs from the end of the trial it still charged me. When I contacted clover and sent my many other issues with their service; I was told “you have to cancel the subscription...” completely dismissing the fact I did cancel. Since clover blatantly refused to do anything except forward my feedback I left it think it was over. Well it got worse! Over the next 48hrs I received an obscene amount of messages from other users of clover; or so it would seem. They we all prostitutes and scammers. All trying to do one thing; GET MONEY from you. Overall Clover’s lack of action and accountability (for themselves and those using their platform) should have consequences. Their actions demonstrate they have bias towards those that lack real integrity. Stay the f?($ away from this thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ### 5/5 — Scammers, Gold digger's, catfish… *2019-06-05, version 6.2.3* Thus far, a waste of my time. The only reason people give it five stars, is that it gives you bonus points if you do. I'd give it zero stars if that were in option. Hope it changes… UPDATE: it never changed. 8 to 10 contacts a day from scammers. They know these women are scammers because they put their Gmail or Kik addresses right on their pictures or in their profiles and they STILL don't cancel their account$. Why kik? Why Gmail? Because those places don't cancel you for scamming. What I like about this app is I’ve received messages and have been able to reply without buying a subscription. I’ve received messages that seem legit. I haven’t spoken to anyone yet that seems like a bot. What I don’t like about this app is you have to subscribe to use certain things. I can’t write a message without receiving one first or matching with the person simply because I didn’t pay for the subscription. All the pictures I’ve seen of others are very low quality and blurry. The majority of users I e noticed do not have an actual profile with anything in the about me section. And if they’re not premium members I can’t see people races, interests, body type or anything of that nature unless they are premium members. Also, I had to give this app 5 stars to improve my karma, whatever that means. Could definitely be better! ### 5/5 — Too many.... *2017-11-07, version 5.91* Every person I met on this app turned out to be some sort of scammer. There are woman using pics of Italian clothing models and porn stars, yes porn stars. It's unbelievable that everyone I met or should I say matched me turned out to be a scammer. Good initial conversations turns to some sort of emergency or illness where they ask for money. Makes me wonder what the screening process is - or maybe it's me. Some of it makes me wonder are some guys really that stupid! If something is too good to be true - it is!! ### 4/5 — Age settings *2018-09-13, version 6.1.2* Okay, I like this app. It’s great. Ive met plenty of people although none of them have really turned out. My only gripe with this app is that people out of my range can still view me. I keep getting messages from men twice my age and WAY out of my range and I don’t like that they can view me. Personally I think that if you have your age range set from 18-21, you should only be able to be seen by people aged 18-21, maybe 22. But when I’ve got a bunch 50 year old men looking at my profile (I’m 19), I’m gonna be creeped out. So please do something about this!!! ### 3/5 — It does what is intended but filled with bots and people phishing *2019-10-15, version 6.4.3* The app is a dating app where people can talk with each other and potentially met up. From my experience though, I get liked by so many bot accounts telling me to email them it is not funny I logged on today to four of them. These are phishing accounts as well telling you to email them. When they email you back and you open the email. It will most likely put a virus on your device where the email was opened and your information sold on the internet as well (I mean think about it, do you really think you are going to get four people in one day saying they all want to have hook ups). I mean in order to actually use the app you have to pay like $15 a month there that to. ### 3/5 — Meh *2019-10-11, version 6.4.3* Interface is simple and straightforward. Options and filters as well. Problem that I have with this app is the simple quantity of fake pages and frequency that these pages come and go. I got easily ten or twelve “faves” from a profile named “HOTmomma” or some such, that were blatantly fake trying to get me to email them. That or, people advertising for their “services”. I found one woman just there to advertise her house cleaning service. Another who is a literal escort service.
