Perfect if you can afford it. Otherwise, I’m sticking with Notion. *2022-01-16, version 1.0* I downlaoded the app seeing it was a new, and I’m always open to a new workspace experience. I love the idea of being able to have all my stuff in one place at one time. And this app is seamless. Beautiful on my Iphone, absolutely gorgeous on my Ipad. Works like a charm and updates quickly if you’ve got the app open on two devices. The daily notes feature is top tier. I’d love to see the native IOS Calendar app integrated in the future for those who don’t use Google Calendar. The only turn off for me was that massive yearly price. Labels, the way you organize the doc, are a pro feature. You can try for two weeks, otherwise that search-based workspace feature is not available to you. I personally wouldn’t pay 70 dollars a year for something that only costs me 40 on another platform. Maybe in the future they’d consider bringing it down, the app isn’t bad but I seriously wouldn’t pay that much. Another thing that bothered me was that glitchy line tool. It kept sticking to everything except the boxes I was trying to attach it to. And having to press shift while drawing with my Apple Pencil was slightly annoying. Maybe press and hold could be integrated in the near future too. Albeit, I might be a bit slow and didn’t understand a lot of the features, but this app really just isn’t for me. If you’re looking for the simpler, cheaper alternative, I’d stick with Notion. The only thing Notion doesn’t have is that Surface option. That’s genius! The ability to draw handwritten notes is amazing. But that’s just about it. Everything else is relatively similar. **Developer response:** Hi! This included updates to line connections, drawing with the Apple Pencil, and many others general improvements to help improve that overall experience of navigating a Surface. And thanks for your feedback, it's really important to help us improve the product. ### 5/5 — Simply the best *2021-12-07, version 1.0* Simple The best notes app. So simple to use, tons of flexibility layouts. Easy to organize. Totally customizable. Everything that the rigidity of Evernote and OneNote lacks, but doesn’t over complicate things like Notion or Obsidian. ### 5/5 — My favorite tool for thinking *2021-12-02, version 1.0* Clover perfectly strikes the balance between structured, linear work and divergent, spatial work. Same on desktop. I tried the forget password thing to see if I could access an account that way but I didn’t even receive an email. It’s a shame, I really was looking forward to using this app but it’s literally unusable. ### 1/5 — Pricey! *2022-04-10, version 1.1.1* App is good but the subscription price is $72 with a discount. I signed up with them before they even had an app. But I am very frustrated because they do not link with iCloud calendar or iCloud reminders. Really? ### 3/5 — Not good enough for the price *2022-01-20, version 1.0* From the perspective of a college student, I wouldn’t pay $9 a month for this app when Notion offers unlimited blocks and pages for free. Taking notes with the Apple Pencil is not a good experience and needs improvement. Email support@cloverapp.com from your school email address and we'll get you setup. ### 4/5 — Wish it worked offline *2022-07-14, version 1.1.1* I love the Craft app but the only thing really lacking for me was a whiteboard and now Clover app comes out and has whiteboards and the rest of the app is very similar to Craft so I am thinking of switching. The only issue I have is that Craft works offline then syncs later once you have a connection. The fact that Clover does not do this is a HUGE drawback for me. Is offline mode planned for the future? **Developer response:** We know offline is a very important feature and are working on some architecture changes to allow this in the future. Offline support is high on our priority list! ### 4/5 — One of the better apps *2022-05-27, version 1.1.1* I’ve tried a lot of different note taking + task manager apps and Clover is one of the better ones. My biggest complaint right now is that it seems like the iOS app is limited to 60Hz on the iPhone 13 Pro which really hurts my head after using all my other apps at 120. Not sure why this is but it makes the app nearly unusable to me ### 4/5 — Almost perfect *2022-01-19, version 1.0* This app has every single thing I want it all in one place. It’s only, and I mean only downfall is that it requires an Internet connection to be used. As an update, it needs to be accessible off-line, and then sync notes online whenever possible. That’s its only drawback in my opinion. It is totally worth it. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Finally an all in one productivity app *2023-02-21, version 1.1.4* I’ve been on the hunt for a single app to handle all of my requirements; cross platform with a web client, tasks that automatically move forward if not completed, notes, organization, daily notes, calendar integration and a complete task manager regardless of where the task is. I was using craft for a while but their pricing model is a pretty big turn off. The rest of the apps I’ve found were the same or just too limited in their scope. Clover has been excellent and I’m happy to finally end my search for the perfect all in one app. It’s worth noting it does feel like the app has some catch up. There are no notifications and swiping to go back simply doesn’t work, but small issues and easily worth dealing with when taking the whole package into consideration. ### 5/5 — Excited to See Grow *2022-11-22, version 1.1.4* I have been hunting for an app that could meet me in the intersection of note-taking, task lists, and second brain. Clover finally seems it! Specifically, I have been hunting for an app that offered reminder integration AND Apple Pencil support. Plenty of programs do one or the other, but so far Clover seems like my sweet spot. I did run into an issue caused by the current reach of development. There is no way to reorder pages through the touch screen on ios, you have to use a mouse. So why five stars? I was prepared to switch to Craft and utilize Shortcuts for my reminders, but then I got a quick, honest response from Clover about the issue I was experiencing. It was refreshing to be told plainly that it is functionality they are still working on and to receive some suggestions for a work-around. I will be keeping an eye on Clover's privacy policies. From what I understand, the current policy is boilerplate and doesn't reflect their intended values. We shall see! ### 5/5 — I finally found the perfect app! *2022-10-07, version 1.1.4* For months I’ve been watching video after video on YouTube, scouring the internet productivity blogs, and reading project management training classes. All I wanted was a digital, searchable bullet journal app that let’s me take notes by date and organize into projects, and carries tasks forward to the next day for me. Notion was too high maintenance, good ol’ pen and paper was not searchable, and many other attempts at making a slew of note taking apps failed me. Then, I stumbled on Clover. I’m all in. I love it! it’s still a relatively new app and I’m hoping to see new features come along soon but I’m willing to wait it out for the features it already has. I love this app so much. My top 3 wish list for this app would be: 1. Offline notes - I would be willing to pay a fee for this. 2. Office 365 calendar integration - so I can link my notes to meetings on my calendar. 3. Nested folders - so I can have folders with sub folders. For examples, I’d love a personal and a work folder then project and notes folders within those folders. And then pages within those sub folder. ### 5/5 — Just wow *2022-02-10, version 1.1.0* I’ve been looking for this unicorn for a long time. Using two different apps to accomplish what this does in one was always a bit time consuming and hectic. But I never could find any “one” to consolidate to. I would always hear, “don’t put too much faith in a system that claims to do it all- they never do it all well.” Well that was true until Clover. Mind blown and super impressed with not only functionality, perfect merging of notes and tasks but they make it look soooo good too. And all this from a v1. I can’t wait to go on this journey and see what they accomplish. ### 5/5 — It’s gorgeous and useful *2022-02-01, version 1.0.3* Maybe it’s the way you can put notes underneath each task. Maybe it’s the fact that every task you create on every page goes into one big list — letting you see every single task you need to do in one place. There’s lots I absolutely love about this app. I can’t quite figure out what it is yet though. What would be really great, is if when I clicked on a label, Instead of seeing a list of all the documents containing that label, I saw the actual inline snippets of text containing the label. Thanks for making this app ### 5/5 — Epic! Game Changer! *2022-01-30, version 1.0.3* I LOVE to do apps! I have NEVER been able to stick to any! I am Addicted to this already and I've had it For 20 Minutes! Fun! Easy! Super customizable! I made my icon a purple m&m! Changed the colors to a dark purple! Not to mention it does everything I want it to and it is next To impossible to forget to do something! Connects directly to my google Calendars! Daily notes keeps me from forgetting everything in my (and my kids) to do list. I love having all of my notes in one place - from my shopping lists to meeting minutes.
