I was hopeful and paid for a lifetime membership so let’s see if it grows but most people will ignore you if youre not already part of some group, you can message people nearby but most won’t reply and after a couple messages you won’t talk much unless you meetup and become friends irl. Nice to find local meetups but most are also posted elsewhere anyway. Bought my wife a year membership and she won’t renew cuz of the same issue. I highly recommend going to a meetup if you haven’t yet, or create your own and connect with local Bitcoiners! That’s what led me to Club Orange. What stood out to me right away was the intentionality of the community. It’s not just random scrolling — it’s people who are serious about financial freedom, ownership, and long-term thinking. As someone who cares about generational wealth and breaking cycles, being able to connect with like-minded individuals in real life hits different. It feels more purposeful than traditional platforms. I also appreciate that it encourages in-person meetups and local connections. Representation matters to me, and while the Bitcoin space can sometimes feel homogeneous, I’ve been able to find diverse conversations and build genuine relationships through the app. It feels empowering to step into rooms — virtual or physical — where ownership and economic independence are the focus. That said, it’s definitely niche. If you’re not serious about Bitcoin or community building, you might not see the value right away. But if you’re looking to network intentionally and grow alongside people who are thinking long term, it’s worth it. Very feature rich including group chats with multiple topics. A map that shows which merchants accept Bitcoin. I bought the lifetime sub - def worth it ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This app is a SCAM!!! *2026-07-18, version 4.2.0* I paid $100 for the lifetime membership and they canceled my account for pointing out that Sam Altman’s “World Network” app allows people to buy Bitcoin on it, one comment, multiple bots immediately started attacking and acting like it’s the end of the world I mentioned another platform. Could not leave the chat, they blew up my phone right up to the point they logged me out and canceled my account and all the so called “sats” they send you for free got reclaimed by them. All theft. As if I was shilling and being obnoxious, just one comment, one time. $100 gone, no refund, gone. It’s a FAKE app made by a Scam artists. Period. ### 1/5 — Extremely Overpriced *2026-06-08, version 4.1.1* This is like Tinder for Bitcoiners but without the fun. Extremely overpriced, no value at all on this time an age. ### 1/5 — As soon as I signed up, bots on 𝕏 messaged me saying they saw my profile on Club Orange *2026-05-07* Be very careful sharing any personal info with this app. The CEO, Matteo Pellegrini, is a liar. I signed up on his app back in Aug 2025 using my nostr npub. Within two days I received a direct message from a bot on 𝕏 saying they saw my new profile on this app. I immediately reached out to Matteo who admitted they do have bots on this app and he does the best job he can to remove them. I shared screenshots of the DM and provided my signup info. He couldn’t locate the bot. I told him no problem I’ll just do a refund through the Apple App Store since I already deleted my account. Instead he preferred to refund me directly and did. Fast forward less than a year later to May 2026. I replied to a post Matteo made on 𝕏 joking about the bots on his app. He denied it, saying there are no bots on his app. I replied with a screenshot of our DM’s. He replied saying they do in fact have some bots. After that he deleted his replies to me and blocked me on 𝕏. ### 1/5 — Good idea bad intentions *2026-01-18, version 3.1.9* Just another grifter trying to add another subscription to your monthly expenses it seems. ### 1/5 — Refund please *2025-08-07, version 2.3.29* No customer service. ### 1/5 — SCAM!!!! *2025-06-05, version 2.3.19* I paid $99 for a lifetime membership to the Orange Pill App, excited to join a Bitcoin-focused community. I shared legit info about Worldcoin’s upcoming card integrating Bitcoin for real-time spending, which I thought was pro-Bitcoin. Instead of discussion, the founders attacked me, saying it’s not Bitcoin-related. Matteo, one of the founders, called me a rude name (the kind Apple won’t let me post in this review) and banned me without warning. Total scam move. The app claims to be about open Bitcoin talk, but they curse out and block paying users for sharing relevant info. Save your money, this isn’t a community, it’s a clique. One star. ### 1/5 — Can’t open *2025-04-02* Can’t open ,stuck on choose your membership. Chose my membership and nothing happens. I got charged to be stuck and unable to use the app. ### 1/5 — An app with a paywall and no functionality *2024-11-19* An app to bring this community together is an amazing idea, but upon downloading the app you are immediately hit with a paywall. You don’t get access to the app before paying. Out of curiosity I decided to spend the $4 for the monthly subscription and upon getting access to the app I realized there’s no functionality. Yes, there’s the ability to message other users and there’s some sort of merchant and event tabs, but it’s just links to externally webpages. There is no functionality to keep me paying a recurring monthly charge. You are basically paying for the idea and concept of what the future app will be as the app team builds out the functionality. I found a local event later this month that I’ll attend, but I don’t need the app to get in contact with that group. I give the app 2 stars since it saved me an Internet search….but on the other hand I paid for it. **Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback—it’s greatly appreciated!
