### 5/5 — A party on the erg 🦩🌴🍍

*2021-01-19, version 3.8*

Erg workouts used to be the worst! (So tedious and boring). Now they are the best, thanks to Club Row! I bought a Concept 2 so I could continue the same kind of classes I had experienced in-studio. Now with the app I get to row with people from all over the world and I don’t even have to fight downtown Vancouver traffic.

### 5/5 — If you have access to a concept2 rower, you need this app

*2020-12-09, version 3.5*

Spin-style workouts to the beat of the music that get the full-body results you can only get rowing. The classic Club Row 30 minute class is a crazy cardio burner, building leg and core strength in a competitive, supportive format. Live classes and leaderboards with varied instructors and playlists, all recorded so you can take them on your own time and still try to beat that person in front of you.

An awesome, supportive community of dedicated people who push each other and grow together.

### 5/5 — Join the crew!

*2020-12-02, version 3.4.2*

Club Row is a fun, fast paced, erg workout to upbeat music with positive coaching. It’s super easy to connect with your Concept2, and compete on the leaderboard. Join live classes with encouraging shout-outs from the instructors. And the ever growing library of recorded classes means you can workout on your own schedule (bonus: your meters still connect to the leaderboard, so you’ll compete with the original class). If you’re coming from a traditional crew background, be ready to learn the CR method - rowing to the beat. It’s a lot faster stroke rates, but a fun challenge to rack up the meters!

### 5/5 — Great app - motivating and fun

*2020-12-02, version 3.4.2*

I’m really enjoying the app - it’s really motivating! It has been great to participate in a group class at home during this pandemic when I can’t get to the gym. I have a WaterRower so of course I’d love if it could be compatible with that but I understand if that’s not possible. You might want to consider providing some HIIT type classes - perhaps integrating some weight training and mat work into some classes. That would complement the rowing quite well. Also maybe some other types of music? Maybe 80s or 90s theme, indie rock, classic rock, other genres perhaps?

### 5/5 — Love rowing to the beat.

*2020-12-02, version 3.4.2*

What a great concept. Instructors are so motivating helping me exceed my goals each time.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2020-12-02, version 3.4.2*

Loud upbeat music, easy to follow and can take classes at any time. I love that even the recorded class shows the old leaderboard so it gives you something to work towards. When covid ends it would be cool to travel there to take a live class. (I’m in USA).

### 5/5 — Best Group App I’ve tried

*2020-11-20, version 3.4.1*

I’ve tried all of the popular on-demand group rowing apps and this one is by far my favorite! The rowing style is a little non traditional (rowing at much higher stroke rates on average) if you aren’t used to it, but you adjust easily. Their music selection is miles ahead of the rest. The instructors are great, motivating, and funny. The app works amazing when paired with a C2, you can compete on the leaderboard which pushes you to go even harder. New classes are being uploaded constantly. Keep up the great work!!

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2020-11-16, version 3.4.1*

I have been going to Club Row for over a year attending classes in studio, however with the pandemic causing us to change up our routines a little, I have now switched over to using the App. It’s fantastic and being able to compete against other app users throughout your workout really holds you accountable! I get a great workout in the comfort of my own home! I would highly recommend this app to all levels of rowers!

### 5/5 — Will Push You

*2020-11-12, version 3.4*

I started out with club row in-class and then with the pandemic moved to the Club Row app. Thank goodness for the app! It’s amazing to have the Club Row experience at home. The app is well designed to translate the classes into the home setting. The leaderboard is a nice touch to push you to catch the person ahead of you without an overly competitive feel. The instructors are all very motivating and the music is absolutely top notch, which is crucial for rhythm-based work like this. If you like to row, get on this app now!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-11-12, version 3.4*

Love the way it’s very user friendly. Great app will continue using

### 5/5 — Better than Pelaton

*2020-11-06, version 3.3*

Wonderful app, amazing instructors, flawless delivery. A must have for anyone with a rower at home. The leaderboard is a great interactive challenge, and there is a lovely community of people who use the app.

### 5/5 — How did I row for 35 minutes and not realize it?!

*2020-11-05, version 3.3*

I’ve used an erg at the gym and maybe did a 10 minute workout max. Now with quarantine, I now own my own erg and when I searched for a rowing app this was the first one offered. THANK GOD THAT HAPPENED. Club Row’s format is rhythm based rowing which means you row to Blackpink. You row to Bey. You row to Odesza. Hell you even row to country. And you will love it. Teachers usually make you row to 11-12 songs and you don’t realize how quickly the time flies by. I have done 35 minute classes with Club Row DAILY and it’s the best time ever. I’ve tried other online rowing classes but this honestly is the best one. They’ve got great teachers and if you have a Conxept2 it’s an even better experience. Other rowing machines can still be used but Concept2 can tap into the leaderboard which really gets the racing element in your body.

### 5/5 — So fun and engaging!

*2020-10-17, version 3.2.1*

I struggle to really push myself for long periods on my rower & haven’t cared much for the different apps I’ve tried in the past. This app is so engaging!! I joined a class just meaning to try it out for a few min but I stayed for the whole class! I’m super competitive so seeing my meters on the leaderboard next to other people in the class & getting encouragement from the teacher was super motivating. It paired flawlessly with my Concept2 PM5. I will be continuing these classes. Super excited!!

### 5/5 — Nice & fun to use, plenty of potential

*2020-10-12, version 3.2.1*

I’m glad I stumbled upon this a few months ago. I love rowing, but I was getting bored with no engagement with other people, as there are no rowing groups/clubs in my neck of the woods. Plus the pandemic. Anyway, I really enjoy the interval rhythm classes, live or recorded, guided by the engaged instructors; but it’s really up to you how much you want to challenge yourself. I find this to be easily motivating, especially if I’m chasing someone else on the leaderboard. I gave 5 stars because I don’t have the option to give 4.5; the 1/2 star downgrade is only because on rare occasions the connection to a class will drop and you’re left trying to guess where you’re at in the class and when you finish. I say that this has plenty of potential because if this app can engage regularly with hundreds if not more rowers, have a few dozen rowers at a time in a class instead of less than 10, hire more instructors to get classes going more throughout the mornings/days/evenings...this app could be fantastic.

### 5/5 — Nothing else like it for rowing

*2020-10-10, version 3.1*

I’m rowing thousands of more meters a week using this app than I ever rowed before. Great live rows and instruction. Classes are filmed daily and are themed to keep things fun (e.g. hip hop) Awesome instructors motivate you and competition against everyone on the app makes you push yourself. You can also dig into the archives of rows to get your workout in anytime you can’t make a live class. Caters to all skill levels but be ready to feel the burn!

### 5/5 — Best workout app hands down

*2020-10-09, version 3.1*

If you’re a rower, this is the app for you. If you’re not a rower, this is the app for you. There is truly no better workout... and while it’s tough, it’s really rewarding. The music and instructors cannot be beat. It’s like Peloton for rowing - but better. My pandemic stress relief and I’m able to row with friends all over North American. Thank you Club Row!

### 5/5 — My new workout of choice!

*2020-10-09, version 3.1*

This is the peloton of rowing, the interactive classes are great. Feel the rhythm!!!

### 5/5 — Better than Peloton

*2020-10-09, version 3.1*

The instructors are great and I love the full body workout. Great work!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nope.

*2021-03-17, version 3.12*

I don’t mind the music, but really bad instruction. Yelling “in and back” throughout a workout isn’t helpful rowing coaching. Entire 2 minute pieces at half-stroke? Why? I stopped some workouts part way in because of my irritation. If you have ever rowed on water, skip this app.

### 1/5 — Cancel

*2021-03-01, version 3.11*

Please advise where in the app I can cancel the trial period subscription? I signed up today for trial period and previewed the classes. I decided after previewing the classes, this teaching style is not for me. In order to sign-up, I had to provide my CC number through Apple. I cannot find the cancel trial period / subscription link.

Please advise.

### 5/5 — Super motivating and fun

*2022-06-15, version 3.13*

Like a lot of people, I got a Concept 2 rower during the pandemic. I tried a few other apps but enjoy this one the best. The music and instructors are fun. I like how the app connects directly to the rower so you can compete with others during class, even if you’re doing a pre-recorded one.

### 5/5 — Finally found a workout I look forward to

*2022-05-09, version 3.13*

This takes the boredom out of rowing for me. I love the music and coaches with different styles. Time flies by. I also love the on demand feature with countless class options. I would definitely recommend anyone to give this a try.

### 5/5 — Huge fan!

*2022-04-03, version 3.13*

I’m so happy I found this app - its exactly what I wanted with my rower! All of the instructors are motivating and fun, and they have the best playlists. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a Pelo experience on your C2!

### 5/5 — Best rowing app out there!

*2021-06-08, version 3.12*

As a crossfitter who’s trying to add in more rowing for endurances, club row is the best app out there. The coaches are amazing, the classes are great, and they really push you.

Some of the things I LOVE about CR are:
-you can do live or on demand classes
- if this end up doing an on demand, there is a leaderboard you can still “compete” with or you can hide if you’re not competitive, with anyone else who’s taken the classes
-you can take live or on demand classes with friends! I’ve taken classes with friends who live in different time zones and it’s amazing
-coaches really push you to do your best while also reminding you on form and making sure you’re rowing properly

If you’re debating on trying this out, do it!!! It’s WORTH the membership fee after the two week trial

### 5/5 — This is what you need

*2021-04-30, version 3.12*

Love the app! The diversity of classes, styles and coaches makes it appealing. But mostly the fact that you row live with meters and splits showing, coach’s calling you out and team spirit is amazing!

### 5/5 — The best rowing app

*2021-03-15, version 3.12*

The best rowing app and it keeps getting better and better! The coaches are the best and it can’t be matched

### 5/5 — The best part of 2020

*2021-03-14, version 3.12*

A business trip to Vancouver allowed me to take a class a Club Row, and I loved it. Even though I didn’t know when I would make it back there, I started following them on Instagram. Fast forward a couple years later, we’re all stuck at home, and I see Club Row on IG talking about this app. So I buy a rower (the first one I could find for delivery which was a WaterRower), and download the beta version of the app. I’ve been hooked ever since!

The instructors are all great and all different so there’s someone suited for everyone and for whatever mood you’re in that day. I’m not even sure I could pick a favorite at this point because everyone adds something different. Tommy and Cass are the entertainers, Nate is the more laid-back style coach, and Dom is in the boat with you - rowing along the entire time motivating you. Whether you like the true spin class style row or a more technical or continuous row there will be a class for you.

All that being said, the thing that will keep me with Club Row by far is the community. In addition to the great classes, I feel like I’m making friends in some way with the coaches and with the other people who are a part of the app. The only downside of this app for me is because without the Concept2 my score on the leaderboard is always stuck at zero. It would be awesome if one day other bluetooth rowers were able to hook in but I’m also considering once the backlog of orders subsides switching out my WaterRower for the Concept2 so that I can connect fully to the Club Row experience.

### 5/5 — Club Row App

*2021-03-12, version 3.11.1*

User friendly, fun, amazing library of different styled classes and best of all, a beautiful virtual community.

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Motivation!

*2021-02-26, version 3.10.1*

Love the classes, and seeing my metres next to everyone else’s. Makes me feel like we’re all suffering together 🙂. As close to a group WOD feeling, while rowing in my apartment. Terrific concept, and good value for live hosted classes daily. Like that you can row against others virtually too in the recorded classes if your schedule doesn’t work for the live ones.

### 5/5 — So much fun!

*2021-02-02, version 3.9*

Loving the live and recorded classes. So much fun and super motivating. Love the various genres of music and find myself shazamming songs during classes haha definitely a great way to push yourself in a fun atmosphere.
