I was late to work and now I might get fired. Would not recommend. ### 1/5 — Can’t enter the app *2026-08-27* Paywall not letting me finish the onboarding. **Developer response:** Sorry about that. The last setup step starts a 7 day free trial, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. If that screen would not let you continue, please update to version 1.2.0 and try again, or tap Restore purchases in Settings if you had already subscribed. The app had only one job of being an alarn clock and that too doesn't work. And super expensive pricing for a alarm clock that you get in your phone by default for free. **Developer response:** I am sorry it let you down, and thank you for the honest note. Version 1.2.0 fixes the missed alarm causes we found and adds a backup notification if the alarm is ever blocked. The yearly price is also lower in every country as of this week, and the 7 day free trial means you can see whether it actually gets you up before paying anything. As of this week Clucky Pro yearly is noticeably cheaper in every country, and there is a 7 day free trial so you can find out whether the missions get you out of bed before paying anything. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel from Apple's subscriptions page at any time. Adrian, the one person behind Clucky ### 1/5 — Israel is Calling 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 *2026-08-27* I downloaded this app because I thought the bird was supposed to WAKE ME UP. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Instead this bird sounds like it is calling me from Israel through three walls and a bad phone connection. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I literally missed my alarm because of this. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Apparently the bird “went off” in the morning, but I did not hear a single thing. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Going off WHERE? Tel Aviv? Jerusalem? Haifa? 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Because it definitely was not going off in my bedroom. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 The volume was all the way up too. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I tested it afterward and it sounded like the bird was trying not to wake anybody up, which is a slight problem considering that is literally its only job. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I need a bird that is LOUD. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I need a bird with urgency. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I need a pigeon from Tel Aviv that just got into an argument over a french fry. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 At this point Benjamin Netanyahu could randomly call my phone from Jerusalem and I genuinely think the ringtone would be louder than this bird. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Anyway, completely unrelated, back to the bird. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Why is it whispering??? 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I am not asking for peaceful Israeli bird ambience. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I am asking to be violently reminded that it is 7:00 AM. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 My refrigerator is louder. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 My charger falling on the floor is louder. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 A real pigeon sitting somewhere in Israel right now is probably louder. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Please make the bird louder. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Then make it louder again. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Then once you think it is unreasonable, increase it another 300%. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I want this bird to sound like it personally flew from Israel to my bedroom just to scream directly into my ear. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 Right now this is not an alarm app. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 This is international bird ambience. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 One star because I missed my alarm. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 I hope the bird is having a great time in Israel because it definitely is not working over here. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱 **Developer response:** You are right, and I am sorry: a whisper is worse than no alarm. Clucky is meant to ring at full alarm volume even with the Silent switch on (Extra loud is on by default in Settings). Version 1.2.0 adds a sound check during setup that warns you if the preview is being muted, plus a backup notification if the alarm is ever blocked. Please update and give it one more morning.
