What’s the point of earning winning scores when they aren’t tracked or used after each game? No incentive to keeping playing to try and get highest scores? It looks stupid. ### 3/5 — New clue *2026-04-25, version 1.0.10* Interesting and different but hard to follow ### 4/5 — Love the Game, Hate the New Update *2026-02-05* I really enjoy playing this game, especially the Ultimate Detective mode, but there was a small change made to the game in the new update that I can't stand. When another player asks you a key question about a card you don't have it doesn't tell you what the card is! It just says "You don't have that card, press continue". When a player asks a key question I like to mark that they don't have the card they are asking about, it's one of the many strategies I use to give me an edge in the game. I find the game so fun and engaging precisely because there are so many ways to eliminate player/ card combinations that are not immediately obvious, so not having this key piece of information is really frustrating. If you fix this one thing I will change my review to 5 stars. **Developer response:** Hello and thank you for your review and feedback. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused. help@marmalademail.com for a direct channel. ### 4/5 — Fun but some issues *2026-01-30, version 1.0.7* I love clue and this is a good version of it overall but I wanted to flag some issues. - there is a glitch making it so there is no sound or music on my iPhone 16 - in ultimate detective mode, if someone uses their key to ask you for a card that you don’t have, it does not show you what card they are requesting - the AI could be smarter in hard mode. It makes fairly basic choices, like I don’t think it suggests rooms it has in order to deduce other people’s cards (at least in ultimate detective mode). It will also repeatedly make suggestions with cards that it knows others have, wasting a turn - I think the bundles are vastly over priced, and more maps should’ve been included in the base game ### 2/5 — Drives me mad! *2026-01-28, version 1.0.7* In the Ultimate version of the game when you are asked for a card it does not show which card! This is dumb. If i am asked to show a card, shouldn’t i know what’s being asked? The person asking for a card obviously does not have it as they would not be asking if i had the card when they have it. This means i could out an x in that field and eliminate that card, but no. The game does not show you what i am being asked. Makes no sense. In a fast paced ultimate version this can make difference between winning and losing. Additionally, the game no longer works on the playstation or over network. Sure sounds like the latest release messed things up. ### 4/5 — Great game, but I can’t help but notice something… *2026-01-24, version 1.0.7* I love this game and how it’s set up, but I can’t help but notice that, at least on my game, that the black male character (Mr. Plum) is the killer in about 1/2 of the games while the other characters may share the other half. This happens so often that I have started guessing him first to help me speed up many of my games. ### 2/5 — Can no longer play online *2026-01-02, version 1.0.7* My fiancé and I have been playing this game for the last year and a half online together. We’ve done iPad to iPad, we’ve done iPhone to iPad, we’ve done PC to iPhone, we’ve done PC to Nintendo switch and it’s worked this whole time. we didn’t play for about a month or two and decided to play and the online is no longer working and it was one of our favorite games to play together And now it doesn’t work. there’s nothing online about why it doesn’t work. We’ve deleted the game reinstalled it checked for updates tried playing on same devices different devices and nothing works anymore. ### 3/5 — High cost and slow release *2025-12-23* I’m not too pleased about having bought the epic crime collection a couple of years ago because now they’re releasing character packs which are included in a new lower cost bundle for $40. The total cost for anyone who bought the crime collection, if they wanted to get everything, will be around $53. Kind of scummy to thank those who started playing earlier by ripping them off. Also it’s taking way too long to finish releasing all the boards. There’s still like 5 or 6 yet to release and it took around a year between the polar research station and Noir Mansion. That’s way too long for a board that’s basically a slightly redecorated version of the base game one that you can play in black and white. Here’s hoping the rest of the content I paid too much for releases before the end of the decade. At this rate it’s gonna be really close…. ### 4/5 — Great game *2025-12-19, version 1.0.7* Great game, however the most recent update changed the clue sheet and it is now very visually distracting and hard to look at with all the crosses in the corners instead of smooth continuous grid. Hard level playing against AI is you getting screwed over and over again. If you play with the clue cards, your cards will get called within the first four turns, while AI characters will go the entire game revealing nothing. AI will somehow know the room without anyone having ever even been in the room (and with multiple rooms having never been entered). I’ve played games where the AI character solved the murder in the second round having only ever entered one room and the solution involved a character, weapon, and room that had not even been used yet. Hard should be actually challenging, not just AI having impossible knowledge and winning the game in under five minutes. Save your money and time. ### 1/5 — 4.99 is only access *2026-02-28, version 1.0.7* Misleading. Once you pay 4.99, you only get 1 board. Trying to create a game and invite friends is non-existent. It always says that the game does not exist. They charged $69 and haven’t refunded anything. The two for pay scenes aren’t as well done as the freebie Clue game by the same people (the one where Scarlett is a blonde). The Italian and Egyptian versions in that game have great graphics and sound. The last “new” content was just characters from your previous version of the game AND they had to be PURCHASED SEPARATELY! The gameplay is easy to understand and most of the time I’ve figured out who the killer is, what they used, and where it all went down.
