South Korea, Japan, and China also did this (but a bit more extreme as it had location tracking and other things), and it is one of the reasons they had minimal damage from COVID and were able to drastically reduce numbers quickly. I know people are upset because they can’t comprehend and don’t understand the basic idea of collectivistic society and inconveniencing yourself slightly to help everyone and improve society, but they’ll get over it. As someone said in a one star review, “it’s just two buttons”. Easy peasy!
