### 3/5 — Any update?

*2022-11-22*

An update would be nice. When I click on the setting, it crashes.

### 4/5 — Good app, great sound, a few annoyances

*2020-09-06*

I’ve been using for many months now. A good app with great sounds. Although a few things can be annoying. When connecting to AudioBus, always needing to select the audio option back in the app before sound will play. The volume knob graphic does not correspond with MIDI input even though the MIDI input does change the volume. I think the built-in recording feature needs help. A simple EQ feature would be nice. Otherwise good AudioUnit support (e.g. directly embed into GarageBand), great polyphony, minimal latency, and a useful velocity curve setting.

### 4/5 — Very playable

*2020-05-18*

Great app. Enjoy this program a lot. Wish the concert grand model was a bit different. Better than IGrand but still a bit behind Ravenscroft imho. Pianoteq is still hard to beat overall. Playing for 40 years.

### 2/5 — Sustain problem.

*2019-09-02*

When you press sustain pedal for more than 3 seconds, it starts to have air below sound, and it becomes louder and louder

### 4/5 — Key spread please

*2019-08-07*

Using a midi is great but sometimes not practical on the go. Key spread please and I will continue to throw money at you.

### 4/5 — Volume Button

*2017-06-26*

It needs a volume control within the audio unit...

### 5/5 — I've owned the best... This is as good.

*2017-04-27*

Let's see, I've owned Synth Ivory II American D and the Ivory Steinway, Alicia's Keys, Piano in Blue, and even the $600 VI Labs VST, as well as many other of those huge sampled libraries. I also have the iOS version of iGrand... So how good is CMP?

The Grand piano is ok, a little thin.. But the Jazz Grand... Wow! What a beautiful piano. This is a piano worthy of one of those above mentioned VST sampled libraries. Is it better? Man I cannot say it's better, but just as good I think. In fact, combined with the iPad or iPhone, you have a compact grand piano that sounds superb.

Is CMP better than iGrand? Yes most definitely.. iGrand is still ok, but there seems to be so much more "meat" in CMP. iGrand has a different tone.. And it's nice for something different.

### 5/5 — Super Sound

*2017-01-07*

Ausgezeichnete App, toller Sound und fantastisches Spielgefühl!

### 5/5 — The Thoroughbred of the lot!

*2016-09-27, version 1.11.21*

I have bought every piano app available for iPad including iGrand ($19.99) and Module with the Ivory IAP ($70.00) and nothing sounds or plays like CMP Grand! This is simply the best piano app period! It's also the least expensive. The only negative is the cartoon looking interface but that has zero effect on the sound.

### 5/5 — O Melhor app de piano!!

*2016-08-31*

### 4/5 — GREAT SOUND

*2016-05-20*

The sounds here are phenomenal. Would be nice to choose specific midi input device BUT it does allow midi channel selection, which is nice. Only complaint is that G above middle C in the Bechstein A190 addon has a tiny pop when playing loudly in an otherwise amazing instrument. Other CMP instruments in this app I've tried sound consistent but the one mentioned above is still probably my favorite.

### 4/5 — Great sound but...

*2016-02-02, version 1.11.20*

I downloaded the concert grand and, compared to the jazz piano, the output volume is significantly lower. This also happens to the grand piano . even at maximum volume ( 150 % ) these two pianos feel less present . the velocity curve does not help because it affects dynamic . The problem is the volume of the output wich is lower. for the rest : great job and great sounds!

### 5/5 — O MELHOR Sample de Piano para Ipad !

*2016-01-16*

*2015-12-23*

Ótimo apps ..Aprovado!

### 4/5 — One of the best piano outhere

*2015-11-20, version 1.11.20*

Yes with iGrand this is The piano for ipad, nothing better. The Concert Grand is super real, also if a bit too reverbered even if we silent the effects.

The only complain is that you left the app "alone" with no update or improvement like presets, new interface, new sounds... It has been ages it is the same app, it's a real pity!

### 5/5 — Muy buenos samples sin loop

*2015-10-15, version 1.11.20*

PLEASE UPDATE TO IOS 9

### 4/5 — My new favourite piano

*2015-09-24*

I had been looking for a piano app comparable to iGrand for quite some time...well, I finally found it. Although there are only 4 pianos ( 2 through in-app purchase), it's as close to the real thing as you can get. It IS memory intensive ( stutters on iPad 2) but works great on my iPad Air 2. With a good selection of effects & IAA compatibility, CMP grand piano is now my favourite piano app.

Best sounding piano in the App Store!!!

Since the newest update I have not been able to re-download my previous in-app purchases. The app is stuck in 'waiting'. Please fix!

### 1/5 — Aplicativo abandonado pelo desenvolvedor

*2021-12-28*

### 1/5 — Auv3

*2018-05-04, version 1.13.24*

I do like the sounds on this Piano but It keeps crashing when using As a auv3 in cubasis you have to keep reloading it in It usually happens when you select Grand piano. But it can happen any time really ...Can you please fix this thank you

### 1/5 — Don't sound good

*2016-02-28, version 1.11.21*

Wrong Dynamics: by the second piano with the minimum level of velocity, the volume of notes is too high, it's not realistic. I don't think they are used 7 layers samples. By Many notes the background noise is too high and when I play with the sustain pedal on, the noise level gets too bad because there is no on all notes. Interesting project, but only as a project. The implementation is wrong, in the choice of the samples, the dynamics of the notes, the layers, the velocity in the background noise. For now waste money, uninstalled. takes up too much space but it is not what it promises.

### 1/5 — passer votre chemin

*2014-10-17*

### 1/5 — Embarassing...

*2013-12-01, version 1.8.12*

The 2 default piano are unusable. The jazz piano is a metallic expressionless sharp sound. The grand piano is like the neighbour playing piano upstair. I cannot understand how can be possible to waste 1gb of sample data this way.
Not so bad the latency : i get 5ms with an old ipad 1. But the sounds are awful.
11 euros really wasted.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2013-05-21, version 1.5.8*

Please dont waste your money in this app. The sound is unreal and don't work as they said. Really there are better piano app. Please dont waste your money...

### 1/5 — Decepcionado

*2013-03-28*

Conectei o câmera conect kit no ipad 2, liguei o cabo USB no meu teclado e não aconteceu nada. Gastei meu dinheiro atoa!

### 1/5 — Bester Klavierklang auf iOS!

*2013-01-19*

Wirklich professioneller Klang, sehr gut spielbar. Derzeit absolut ohne Konkurrenz. Bin total begeistert?

### 1/5 — Quiero mi dinero

*2012-12-18, version 1.2.3*

*2025-07-07, version 2.1*

The white grand piano is fantastic, its just so realistic, even the velocity feels great, I'm stil loving iSymphonic too 🤗 UPDATE: i started out with this App on an iPhone 5 x86 and i still love it on my iPhone 7 plus with iOS 15.8.4… please maintain support as long as you technically can 🤗

### 5/5 — This is my favourite pianoforte.

*2022-11-23, version 1.13.24*

So there are a few pianos and electric pianos on iOS/iPadOS, and I have some of them. Not the most expensive out there, but I have listened to some renditions on the most expensive. On first hearing this CMP piano downloaded, it seemed unremarkable. However, adding the necessary reverb and the tiniest sliver of echo/delay really livened it up. I always have to add some of Apple’s GarageBand initial compressor, because it has a slider to amp-up the dB on it, on most Audio Units.

The standard limiter in your DAW, then at the end of the FX chain, the EQ to add ‘air’ and remove the lowest rumble of sub-60Hz, and it’s really very good.

Right at the beginning of course, there’s the ability to alter the velocity curve in the app, which helps because my 61-key MIDI controller/keyboard is average in that department.

These are my ways of setting-up this pianoforte to succeed. Once you have this sort of essential respect given to the overall tone and ambience your instrument is playing in, it is amazing how much the underlying sound qualities come through.

I moved on to setting up a preset in ‘mixbox cs’ to fulfil some of the FX needs, but GB’s standard track compressor and EQ, leave you just needing reverb. The main reason for using an all-in-one FX is not the sound quality but because a preset can be saved, allowing multiple drop-ins in other tracks easily accomplished, at precisely the same settings ie you can try several pianos, confident the playing-field is level.

But that’s all done once, and except for shortening the reverb ‘tail’ if playing faster, or similar tweaks to accommodate particular playing, it’s set then. How CMP piano comes across now, is that it really is able to deliver nuances of playing, true pianoforte, that I cannot normally get out of my keyboard. My experience tells me two things usually create this result: a fast response of the app to the MIDI incoming data; and somehow the sounds are gradated to actually have the expressiveness there, waiting to be brought out.

That’s why it’s my favourite. It’s warmer, and more nuanced, and sounds ‘smoother’ somehow, is my impression overall. But most of all it actually does pianissimo and fortissimo, making it five stars.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2021-05-04, version 1.13.24*

The white grand piano is fantastic, its just so realistic, even the velocity feels great, I'm stil loving iSymphonic too 🤗

### 5/5 — Yes, it’s that good!

*2020-12-13, version 1.13.24*

It is a hefty app, memory-wise, but that’s what you need for real quality. This piano sounds fantastic - even on my tinny keyboard speakers, but with the headphones plugged in it is simply stunning. Like the Korg Ivory you can adjust the velocity settings and this really worked for this piano app making it really sing. The sustain has a lovely ring to it. I’m not a big fan of some of the more ‘out there’ reverb selections, but the ‘hall’ varieties work really well to add extra timbre.

And that’s what this app is all about - timbre. I have both the Korg Ivory and the Beathawk Grand. Both sound a little ‘muddier’ than this one. You can brighten the Ivory. Unfortunately you can’t do much with the Beathawk unless you channel it through AUM and add some EQ and a decent reverb.

For the money, this grand piano app has the edge for me.

### 5/5 — iPad's best

*2020-03-10*

I have them all. CMP has limited tweakability but the sound quality is my go to solo piano. Second is igrand also very good more adjustments and different pianos but lack realism depth that CMP somehow delivers. Korg module and Ivory, a slow 3rd. Both Ivory and Natural Grand sound electronic to my ears, not worth the half price deal nor the precious 3 1/2 Gb and I wish I could sell them back.

### 5/5 — Good God, this is amazing

*2019-12-19, version 1.13.24*

The wonderful sound of this piano leaves me speechless. Worth every pound.

### 5/5 — 5 Holzberger Sterne

*2019-09-08*

### 5/5 — Really the next best

*2019-05-19*

Piano app that is. The more expensive one from the same developer is the best and it has other functional advantages. This one is perfectly stable whereas the other can crash on my likely under powered iPad. It is rare that the other will crash, but this one is completely stable. I own many piano apps, but these two and the Ravenscroft are the only ones I use. This is the bang for the buck without question. I still prefer the Colossal Piano, but I could completely live with this one if it was all I could or wanted to afford. I particularly like the Bechstein on here.

### 5/5 — Did it again!

*2018-08-19*

To save you some cash. Buy the red grand piano, the white upright in colossus, and the white grand piano in cmp. The white upright piano in colossus is the most real piano I’ve ever played. They’re breathtaking. Amazing tools. For 15 bucks ? A steal I’d recommend an iPad that has some
Space.
