It has hourly weather forecasts out days in advance. It provides a multitude of weather stats even for the deepest of weather buffs. It has consistently updated weather related stories and facts! There is even a Photo of the Day section that always showcases beautiful things currently in the world! I open this app every day. ### 5/5 — CNN Weather *2026-07-21* 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love the CNN Weather app! It has a really nice, clean design that’s super easy to use. The forecasting feels accurate (at least in theory — it’s been spot on for my area lately), and everything loads quickly with great visuals and straightforward info. I’m not even a big fan of the CNN network overall, but I have to give credit where it’s due — you guys nailed the weather app. The CNN Weather team is great and clearly knows what they’re doing. It’s become my go-to app for checking conditions and forecasts. My only real wish is that you’d release a dedicated iPad app (or at least better optimize it for the bigger screen). That would make it perfect. Overall, it’s a fantastic app. Highly recommend! Keep up the great work. ### 3/5 — Needs some more work *2026-07-21* Let me start by saying I love the app and am willing to make it the daily weather app but it’s needs some more work before that happens. Notifications do not work at all. They advertise in the App Store photos that it gives push notifications for storms but after 2 severe storms in the northeast here, not a single notification. If the NWS issues a watch/warning, you don’t get a notification for those either. Also wish they would work on including lightning strike/detection for the radar because it’s a nice safety feature to have in a weather app in my opinion. It’s a beautiful weather app all around and their effort to provide stories on why the weather will be a certain way in areas of the country is amazing. As they continue to update, they’ll quickly become a powerhouse of an app. ### 1/5 — Broken - won’t launch *2026-06-28, version 1.3.1* Won’t launch. “Sorry, something went wrong.” Deleted and redownloaded. When you go into the detailed forecast, it shows you hour by hour for the next two days. Would be nice to have an option to view the full day and night like the rest of the week. Also in detailed mode, would be helpful to see weather icons along the top, so you don’t have to tap into each day to see what the weather will be. ### 4/5 — Excellent start. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Not good on iPad *2026-06-13, version 1.2* I can’t put this app on my phone, because I have an Android phone and the app is IOS-only. The display of information on my iPad is useless, the window on my screen is too small and doesn’t fill the full screen (why make the display look like a phone screen, it’s not a phone).
